Full Facial Rejuvenation Results at 5mo (Denver, Colorado)

This lovely patient is 5 months postop from a Deep Plane Face and Neck Lift, Lower Blepharoplasty, Fat Transfer, and Tip-Straightening Rhinoplasty and is thrilled with her results. I am the surgeon, Dr. Cory Bovenzi, double board-certified facial plastic surgeon based out of the Denver Tech Center area. Here is some more information on her procedures:

Deep Plane Face and Neck Lift – included submental liposuction, incisions around the ears and a small submental one. No drains used. Facial dressing used only for the first evening. Sutures removed day 7, staples removed day 10.

Lower Bleph: Transconjunctival approach with fat removal. Skin pinch also performed with an incision just underneath the lower eyelid lashes. All dissolve sutures.

Fat Transfer: harvested from the abdomen using a small incision inside the belly button. Processed to microfat- 3.5cc used per side in the midface and lower lid-cheek junction areas

Rhinoplasty: open rhinoplasty with a columellar incision, ultrasonic hump reduction with piezotome, but mostly work on the tip to improve symmetry and straighten it by using ANSA banner grafting and columellar strut grafting from her septal cartilage. Aquaplast cast and small internal silicone splints used for 7 days after surgery before removal. All dissolvable sutures

Rhino recovery

How was your recovery in the first few days?

•	What symptoms did you have?

•	What helped you the most with pain and discomfort?

•	How long did you feel really bad?

•	When did it start getting better for you?

•	Any tips that actually made a difference?

I had my Rhino yesterday and am feeling terrible

What procedures would best benefit me?

As you can see I have quite droopy eyes.

My goal is to have very striking feminine eyes like the pictures 2-6.

I’ve been considering:

  1. Upper blehparoplasty (reduce eyelid exposure, lift eyes, symmetry)

  2. Lateral Canthoplasty (more positive canthal tilt)

  3. Double eyelid surgery

  4. Infraorbital implants (under eye support)

  5. Fat graft* (hollow under eyes, tear through filling)

  6. Orbital Decompression

  7. Laser for dark circles

Before/After…

1st picture: no filler, no lip gloss.

2nd picture: revanesse fill s/p 1 week.

I’m in my mid 30s & have always wanted a more fuller top lip. I’ve never had any filler or Botox & got Revanesse a week ago (both top & bottom)

The after look was a bit more than I was wanting, which she told me would be normal but once the swelling went down & they settled that would be the size they’d be. However, I feel like they look “ok” with lip gloss/lipstick. Without lip gloss/lipstick , I feel like there really isn’t much of a difference, which is a big bummer. I don’t want anything extreme but I want them to look nice & full without any lip gloss/lipstick. I’m scheduled to go back in two weeks. Ideally, will I see a bigger change after the 2nd session? Do I need to be more specific about placement & the look I’m aiming for? I don’t recall her ever asking what my end goal was & maybe that’s my fault for not speaking up 🫤

Terrible Experience with Dr. Asaria at FACE Toronto

Just wanted to share my story as I know his name comes up here. I had a rhinoplasty with Dr. Asaria at FACE Toronto roughly 6 months ago and am extremely upset with my results.

To start off with the positives, it’s clear that his clinic runs super well and his team is great. I could always get ahold of someone, and everyone I interacted with is very kind and patient. My results, though, were not what I wanted at all.

At the consultation, Dr. Asaria made the “after” mockups of my nose before meeting with me. I should’ve taken this as a red flag that he would just ultimately just override my requests and do what he wanted. The rest of the consultation went well though, and he came highly recommended, so I went ahead and booked the surgery.

My nose was a difficult case—it was crooked and bulbous with a deviated septum. Despite this, I wanted as little changed as possible. I basically wanted it to be more straight and symmetrical, with the deviated septum corrected, keeping the original shape intact. Ultimately, in my opinion, he made changes that I didn’t ask for, resulting in a nose that looks unnatural and pinched on my face, with triangular nostrils from the front and an odd “C” shape from the side.

At our six month follow up, Dr. Asaria dismissed any concerns I had. He stated that he did as little modification as he possibly could have, and didn’t see any wrongdoing on his end. He ultimately said there was nothing further he could do for me—that I needed to treat this as a death, and he couldn’t bring anything back to life. He said that the reason I was unhappy was because of me and my personality, not anything he did. He mentioned that he performs hundreds of rhinoplasties a year and only two people tend to react the way that I have, so perhaps I am just an anomaly. Just wanted to share my experience as I found stories like this helpful when deciding on a surgeon, even though I ultimately chose the wrong one for me. Without a doubt, this has been the biggest regret of my life.

Rhinoplasty

The first picture is my nose 3 weeks after rhinoplasty, the second is at 7 weeks after rhinoplasty. Has this happened to anyone? Is it swelling?

How badly do I need to dissolve my lip filler? Got 1cc over 5 years ago. When I was getting cheek filler, the injector almost begged me to dissolve my lips :’)

included photos of current lips in different lighting, with and without lip products. it’s been almost 5 years and I know there’s still tons of filler left but is the migration that bad? it only bothers me from the side but I dont see myself at that angle anyway lol. I’ve read about hyaluronidase and it seems way too risky. The injector doing my cheeks was strongly urging me to dissolve my old lip filler (she was borderline annoying and gave mean energy, not going back lol). She said it was the first thing she noticed on my face and said it gave me “protruding drooping mouth”.

from your honest opinion - would you risk the hyaluronidase and dissolve the lip filler? I know it’ll dissolve natural collagen and have potential long term effects. I’m terrified; thats why I haven’t dissolved anything. But honestly it doesn’t bother me too much and looks good in photos, especially with lip products on. thanks!

Breathing after Breast Augmentation

I’m going to get a breast augmentation in 4 days and am having major anxiety about it. After thinking back a few weeks ago I never thought about how my shallow breathing is going to be affected or if I’m even going to be able to take a deep breath at all for a few days. I’m the type of person that gets anxiety if I can’t take a deep, shallow breath and will literally pass out. Now I’m reading that people literally haven’t taken a deep breath since getting them done 🙃😅 I will not survive lol I obviously can’t believe everything I’m reading but it’s not looking too good.

I’m 5’2 and I weigh 110 lbs. I’ve had 4 kids and breast fed two of them but am still very petite. I’m getting 260cc partially under the muscle, MOTIVA implants.

Thoughts? Opinions? Should I cancel?

What can I do to achieve more smooth line here?

I noticed that now with age. My chin feels fatty but I have been 55kg always. Im actually losing fat on my face. Can it be possible to gain only on this area? Or is it muscle thi g?

u/Impressive-Equal-433 — 9 hours ago

[22] What procedure should I get to fix my double chin? I lost 160 lbs in 2022. 1st photo my face is relaxed. 2nd it’s not.

I’m considering either liposuction and renuvion or a neck lift.

My nose bridges is wonky, is nose job my only option?

my nose is wonky. one side sticks out on the bridge more than the other. I don't mind my side angle *too* much but the quarter angle is the worst 😪 I'm scared of getting a nose job because of the risks, downtime and what if I don't like my nose after! would you guys get a nose job if you were me?

Options- Surgical and Nonsurgical

I have had these “under eye fine lines” since I was a kid. I don’t know what to call them. They seem to have gotten worse over the last couple years. Before having a child I was using retinol there but obviously cannot now because I’m nursing. I’m in my mid/late 20s. What are my options with either non-surgical or surgical? Anyone else have these? Would a lower blepharoplasty be my only option? I feel like the lines make me look older than I am.

Penniculectomy Toronto OHIP

Hi, I had a c-section 13 years ago. It caused the skin to hang over the wound. I’ve had constant infections that have on many occasions required me to be hospitalized. This has been going on since my delivery. I’ve been trying to find a doctor or clinic in Toronto that does Penniculectomy which in this case should be covered by OHIP due to the constant health issues. My doctor has sent referrals to over 20 surgeons. They’re all rejected. I’m not sure why. This situation is causing major issues to my quality of life. I don’t want to end up dying of an infection that could have been completely avoided. I need some guidance because I’m completely losing hope I’ll ever find someone willing to help me. I’ve been looking for years and I’m operating completely in the dark here. Any advice or suggestions of surgeons would be sincerely appreciated.

Revision nose job?

I miss my old profile and nose. Considering a revision to restore stright profile, symmetry and some projection. What are your thoughts? I will go to dr Dean toriumi who is a true revision specialist. First two are before last three are now.

What could i get done to fix this?

am somewhat fine living with a big, sorta crooked nose (for now anyways) , but i hate how the bottom of it looks like this. is there a way to get it to look symmetrical in some way or atleast make it less obvious?
