Hey everyone,

I’m getting ready to sell my old 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe and I’m looking to get it detailed so it presents well for buyers.

Since it’s an older car, I’m not looking to spend a fortune on high-end paint correction or ceramic coatings. I just need a solid, affordable interior and exterior detail to tackle the general wear and tear, clean up the seats/carpets, and make it look respectable before I take photos and list it.

Does anyone have recommendations for a good, reasonably priced detailer (mobile or a shop) in or around the Glen Cove / Nassau County area? I’m willing to drive a bit for a good spot that won't break the bank.

Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone,

I just picked up my new 2026 Honda CR-V Sport Touring Hybrid this April, and I’m incredibly happy with it. The interior really steps it up with the leather-trimmed seats, the orange stitching, and the updated tech, and I want to make sure I’m using the absolute best products to keep the cabin looking fresh off the lot.

I tend to gravitate toward high-quality, reliable, and purpose-built items, I'm open to anything that genuinely works without relying on cheap marketing hype.

Here is what I’m hoping to find:

  • Leather Cleaner & Conditioner: What works best to keep these specific seats nourished and crack-free without leaving behind an oily or slippery shine?
  • Dash & Plastics UV Protectant: I need something that repels dust and leaves a clean, matte, factory finish.
  • Touchscreen & Piano Black Trim: The 9-inch screen and shiny trims are fingerprint magnets. What are the safest sprays or microfiber techniques to use so I avoid micro-scratches?

If there are other premium brands that you swear by for your CR-V, I’d love to hear about those. I really want to build a solid, reliable interior detailing kit from the get-go.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

Hey everyone,

I just picked up a 2026 CR-V Sport Touring a few weeks ago and I’m looking to grab a premium, custom-fit windshield sunshade. I’m currently torn between the Covercraft and the WeatherTech, but I'm totally open to other suggestions if there's a hidden gem out there I'm missing.

I’m definitely a "buy-it-for-life" kind of guy, so I don't mind spending a bit more on something that’s actually durable and won't start sagging after one summer.

Here is what I'm weighing right now:

  • Covercraft: I really like the thick foam core and that it folds up looking super clean. But is it overly bulky? I’ve got a 4-year-old in the back seat, so I don’t want something that’s a massive pain to fold up and store when the car is full.
  • WeatherTech: I'm out in New York, so the dual-season design (flipping it to the black side to help melt windshield frost in the winter) sounds awesome in theory. Does that actually make a noticeable difference in real life?

If you’ve used either of these on the current-gen CR-V, how’s the fit around the rearview mirror and the sensors?

And like I said, if there’s a completely different brand I should be looking at that hits the sweet spot between durability and easy storage, please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone,

We are flying out of JFK soon and I'm trying to figure out the best transportation option from Glen Cove for 2 adults and my 4-year-old. We're traveling heavy with 6 pieces of luggage, so we'll definitely need an SUV or a larger vehicle.

I initially looked into Carmel Limo, but they don't provide child car seats and expect you to bring your own. Honestly, that is just stupid, especially when you're flying and the last thing you want to do is lug a car seat through the airport.

I also really want to avoid Uber or Lyft. I can't risk a last-minute cancellation, or a driver showing up without a proper car seat or enough trunk space. We need something strictly reliable.

Does anyone have recommendations for a dependable car service that serves the Glen Cove area, offers an SUV large enough for 6 bags, and actually provides a clean, safe toddler seat?

Thanks in advance!
