Has anyone else noticed their car burning through gas faster than usual lately? If so, which gas station did you fill up at?

I’m wondering if it could be related to increased ethanol content in the fuel (basically more diluted gas) as of May 1st. Curious if others are experiencing the same thing.

Empanada queen

Does anyone know what happened to the Empanada Queen food truck? It used to be located in Baldwin on the shoulder of sunrise highway. When i originally noticed she was gone i called the number they have listed and the voicemail said she was on vacation for the month. This was back in January or February. Now i see there is a halal food truck in her place. Anyone know if she relocated or what happened?

Hey everyone,

We are flying out of JFK soon and I'm trying to figure out the best transportation option from Glen Cove for 2 adults and my 4-year-old. We're traveling heavy with 6 pieces of luggage, so we'll definitely need an SUV or a larger vehicle.

I initially looked into Carmel Limo, but they don't provide child car seats and expect you to bring your own. Honestly, that is just stupid, especially when you're flying and the last thing you want to do is lug a car seat through the airport.

I also really want to avoid Uber or Lyft. I can't risk a last-minute cancellation, or a driver showing up without a proper car seat or enough trunk space. We need something strictly reliable.

Does anyone have recommendations for a dependable car service that serves the Glen Cove area, offers an SUV large enough for 6 bags, and actually provides a clean, safe toddler seat?

Thanks in advance!

Permit for fire/burglar alarm?

Hi everyone, I am a new resident to Nassau County, Town of Oyster Bay. Just had fire/burglar alarms installed. A neighbor mentioned to me about getting permits for these, but my alarm company didn't mention anything about that. Is it necessary? Thanks!

Does anyone know where the president of Venezuela is being held along with his wife?

I haven’t seen any recent news about them. Are they being held in the SDNY building?
