How do I know if I should wear blue or white shirts?

How do I know if I should wear blue or white shirts?

I have read that white shirts are too stark for most white men, tending to wash them out. I have light skin but features.

I would imagine that a white shirt with a navy tie and navy jacket would flatter me more than the same a blue shirt with the same jacket and tie.

When and how did the left become sex-positive?

The Manifesto explicitly calls for the abolition of prostitution, in no uncertain words:

>Bourgeois marriage is, in reality, a system of wives in common and thus, at the most, what the Communists might possibly be reproached with is that they desire to introduce, in substitution for a hypocritically concealed, an openly legalised community of women. For the rest, it is self-evident that the abolition of the present system of production must bring with it the abolition of the community of women springing from that system, i.e., of prostitution both public and private.

In The Origin, Engels cites monogamy as a human advance.

Every Communist country that has existed has banned pornography and prostitution.

Feminists used to debate about these sorts of things, with more Marxist feminists supporting abolition.

Now that is all gone. Go to any DSA event and people will be saying "sEx WoRk Is WoRk". Any criticism of fetisheshes, however violent, is regarded as "kink-shaming" (as is being a violent pervert is a protected class). They act like sexuality exists in some vacuum and has nothing to do with politics, economics, or society at large. In fact, people who don’t watch porn are treated with suspicion.

My guess is that neoliberalism has created ethnically neutral marketing values; as long as there are people willing to buy it and people willing to sell, there is nothing wrong with it.

I don't think Gen Z is as cooked as people say

I am basically a caricatura of Gen Z. Let me count the ways.

  • I am 28 and still live with my parents.
  • Never had a GF, hardly ever had sex, and never got a drivers' license
  • Two useless degrees
  • Make a pittance working part-time
  • Don't drink (people get very defensive); prefer weed and the occasional psychedelic
  • Don't watch porn and am fairly squemish about sex scenes; I couldn't get through Salo
  • Diagnosed with ADHD, autism, and anxiety. I take a cocktail of medications.

I am a big believer that life has deadlines, and I am knocking on the big one: 30.

I am the exception, but people talk about Gen Z as if I am the rule.

I was always the weird kid in school. Hell, I am on Reddit. Everybody said I would be a loser, and it turns out they were right.

My three best friends are from high school, and they are all doing great. One is getting married in November (I will be a groomsman), and the other two are living with their GFs. I think they are way more representative of people my age than me.

The reason everybody thinks Gen Z is cooked is because losers like me are overrepresented online. I know that I am in the bottom 1% for people my age.

Even then, despite all my autism and introversion, I am fairly social. I go out more days than not; I used to go to parties (purely out of FOMO, not enjoyment), but these days I am just chilling with my close friends. Last night I left the house at 8.30pm and only returned 7 this morning. I also volunteer for some causes, which keeps me busy. When I do go to parties, they are so full of young people that I can barely walk. So I don't think it is true that Gen Z are all shut-ins, even though it would be objectively better if we were.

Whenever people say "I don't want to give homeless people money because they will spend it on drugs", people always say "Well you do drugs too"

Here are two examples:

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DXcbSfpj-zy/?utm\_source=ig\_web\_copy\_link&igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DWzwR5kD8Ir/?utm\_source=ig\_web\_copy\_link&igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==

Both compare prescription medication and caffeine to street drugs like heroin.   The caption of the second one reads:

"and before you say “this doesn’t apply to me I don’t do drugs!” … caffeine is also a drug that is highly addictive and present in coffee, tea, soda, and more. You’d be hard pressed to find someone who genuinely doesn’t do ANY drugs… we all do"

This is frankly braindead. Me having a cup of coffee or taking medication prescribed by a doctor is not comparable to a homeless guy taking heroin.

If you abstract two things enough, you can equivocate them. A person eating a chesseburger and another person eating a caesar salad are both eating food, but they are very different foods.

For me to change my mind on this, somebody will have to explain why I should be fine with giving my money to somebody who may very well spend it on heroin.

Outlets from The Financial Times to Jacobin, as well as pundits like Scott Galloway, have lamented the decline in drinking, and I cannot wrap my head around why.

Smoking cigarettes had sharply declined in the US since the 1964 Surgeon General's Report, and we typically regard that as a good thing. So why should we treat the decline in drinking differently?

People say that Gen Z are "puriteens" and prudish for not drinking, but I wouldn't call somebody prudish for avoiding cigarettes. As for so-called moderate drinking, would you encourage somebody to smoke cigarettes in moderation?

Drinking is declining for the same reason smoking did; people are realizing that it is a carcinogenic and highly addictive.

I hear way more people talk about the manosphere than I hear from the manosphere itself. I also hear way more people parody the male lonliness crisis than I hear anybody talk about it unironically.

There is no real male lonliness crisis. The basis for this myth was a study saying more men are staying virgins. Turns out it was a COVID thing, and it all went back to normal after the pandemic.

It is all a moral panic designed to get people to support more online censorship, surveillance, and police power.

I am 28 years old and live with my parents, making a pittance with part-time work. Yes, I know I am a pathetic loser, I am trying to figure out how to change my situation.

In 2020, I graduated with a BA in history. In 2023, I got an MSc in International Politics. Yes, I now realize these degrees were a mistake, but there is no use crying over spilt milk.

I have never had a long-term job, just several short-term ones. I briefly worked in market research between college and postgraduate school. Anterior my MSc, I worked with RFPs for two months (total disaster), and spent eight months as a pharmacy casheir. I am currently in Latin America, where I teach English to adults.

My main issue is that I have virtually no concrete skills as I have just had a series of gigs rather than a proper career.

Throughout high school and college, I was made fun of for being weird and awkward. I struggled academically (2.8 in high school, 3.3 in college, 3.4 for my MSc). I was told I would never get laid.

Well, they must've been onto something because I am 28 and living with my parents, making a pittance at part-time work. I have never had a GF, and have only had intercourse once (with a hooker when I was 15). I have never had a long-term job, just several short-term ones, so I have no real skills.

Every so often, I'll search up my bullies on LinkedIn or Insta. They're all doing great, in high-flying jobs or postgraduate programmes and have relationships. I have come to realize everything they said about me was true.

The same is true for my friends; my three closest friends are from my high school class and they are all in stable jobs and living with their respective partners. One is getting married in November, and I'll be a groomsman.

I am 18 months to turn 30 and I have nothing to show for it. People say there is still time and that 30 is young, but that's cope. 30 isn't young to have one's first relationship. 30 isn't young to have never had a long-term job. 30 isn't young to be living with one's parents. 30 isn't young to be basically a virgin. Hell, they even made a Steve Carrell movie about that.

It's too late for me. As I said, I can't get a job as I lack real skills. I sweet-talked my way into a fairly lucrative job once, only to totally screw everything up. As for dating, I have tried the apps; they landed me several first dates but few second ones. It's over, the bullies were right. Now they're living rent-free in my head whilst not thinking about me at all.

People called me a weirdo my whole life. Throughout high school and college, People said I would never get laid. I graduated with a 2.8 in high school, a 3.3 in college, and a 3.4 for my MSc. My bullies had 3.8s and above.

Well, they must've known something because I am now 28 and still living with my parents, earning a pittance with part-time work. I have no real career history, just a series of short-term jobs, so I haven't developed any skills.

I have never had a GF, and have had only had penetrative sex once; it was with a hooker when I was 15. I have had two sexual experiences since then but chickened out before they led to intercourse. I have tried dating apps, which landed me several first dates but few second ones.

My bullies, on the other hand, are doing great; they're in high-flying jobs or postgraduate programmes and have relationships.

The worst part is that it's too late for me to change my circumstances. Nobody has their first relationship in their 30s, and I can't get a proper job due to lack of skills.

Every time a young person talks about the struggle to move out of home or to have children, people will unironically say it's because of iPhones and avocado toast.

There is no way it's because rent is a higher share of income than previous decades. There is no way it is because jobs have became more precarious since the 2008 recession. There is no way it is because of entry-level Jobs demanding years of experience. There is no way it is because of student debt. No, it is because young people magically became irresponsible by total cosmic coincidence.

I have read articles written in 1938 about how young people are lazy and inept. People have been saying this rubbish forever.

I will fully admit that I don't want children, but even if I did I didn't see any way I could afford them. The math ain't mathing.

I am 28. I have an MSc in International Politics, having graduated in 2023.

Despite this, I have struggled to find a decent job. I still live with my parents and make a pittance working part-time. I have had a handful of jobs, but nothing resembling a career and as a result lack any real skills.

I also have virtually no success with women. I had sex with a hooker once when I was 15, which remains my only penetrative sexual experience. I have tried the dating apps, which have landed me several first dates but few second ones. I have actually became the Steve Carrell movie.

This sucks because I was explicitly told in high school and college that I would never get laid. Turns out they were right.

All of my friends have careers, partners, and ex-partners. One is getting married in the fall, and I will be a groomsman. The worst part is that all of of my bullies are also doing great too; they have successful careers and relationships. They had 3.8s+ whilst I got a 2.8 in high school, a 3.3 in college, and a 3.4 in postgraduate school.

I am a big believer that life has deadlines; nobody starts in their 30s. I have never heard of anybody having their first relationship in their 30s because it doesn't happen. The literature is very clear that anybody who has never been in a relationship by 25 will likely never be in one. The same thing is likely true for jobs. It is copium to deny that.

in short, If It could've happened, it would've happened.
