Are UK degrees, besides the ones from Oxbridge, useful outside of the UK?

Same as above. Like degrees from bristol, warwick or edinburgh. Are they still valuable and viewed with the same relative prestige outside of the UK like in australia or france for example.

Comparison is genuinely the biggest thief of joy and its crippling my entire life.

This isnt about comparison of money or status. I'm aware that I come from a comfortable background and that there are many people out there that are doing worse off than me and that I should be grateful, which I am. I dont know exactly how to explain it but every time Im in a public space or any place with more than one person in it my brain kicks into overdrive and starts analysing everything about everyone in the room and highlighting whatever and whichever way theyre better than me. Its not about materialistic things like shoes n clothes or whatever, its about how their nails are neater than mine, how their posture is better than mine. And when it comes to materialistic things? me and some other person could be wearing the same exact shoes but all I can think about how he's wearing it better than me or someones got the same laptop as me but they just look so much more comfortable using it. Its caused me to completely hate going outside let alone leave my room.

Im fully aware that this is just nitpicking and absurd, that I have no idea who any of these people are and whats happening behind the scenes in terms of how much misery they are in or have gone through. Im aware about all these things but I just can't stop it.

Its spilled over to social media any my social circle as well. I'm a pretty closed off guy to begin with I've got some 2-3 friends that i actually talk to, I used to have more but I've pushed them all away due to this same problem. Everytime I see a friend post a story of hemselves all I can think about is how happy they look in that story and the immense jealousy I get from that. I dont want them to be sad and miserable but what I am jealous of is wondering what is it that they are doing right and Im doing wrong. Am I physically incapable of being happy? Why must I find a problem in everything about myself and my life. Why is the grass ALWAYS greener on the other side. Why am i doing this to myself when i know how completely absurd all of this is.
Its crippling my life, constantly thinking about why everyone around me is happy while Im not.

It's been a constant destructive cycle of constantly obsessing over finding whats missing in my life, what can i do differently to be "happy" to be content with life. At this point I've started fighting this irrational problem with irrational solutions. I see a person who plays an instrument being happy, so I start learning an instrument. I see a person working out taking care of their health and being happy, so i start working out. All I've been doing for the past couple of years is mimicking other people's lives in an attempt to fix mine. I have no personality, Im a husk of a person, mimicking life after life in a futile attempt to feel normal.

What sort of jobs can you get with a maths degree and what are the difference between applied math, pure math, mathematics and statistics in terms of the jobs available for each one?

I'm a highschool student and I've been getting to really like mathematics and wanted to know the difference between the different types of math and the different job oppurtunities they open up. Ive been looking at it online and honestly it has not cleared up much for me, I still do not know what job oppurtunities are available all I've understood is that people who study mathematics go into research, finance or become actuaries. I thought it'd be best if I just asked the people who actually study mathematics about what jobs you can get with a math degree.

Advice on what to do to better my masters application for aerospace engineering.

I am currently a second year mechanical engineering student at a pretty good Russel group university here in the UK. I plan on getting my masters after I graduate and wanted to apply to top universities for serospace in the US particularly Georgia Tech, Stanford etc. I've maintained around a 3.6-3.7 gpa. I know that these schools are incredibly competitive to get into and I wanted to know what I can do to, to make. my application look good in terms of internships etc.
I have not written the SAT or any american exams, I wrote the A-levels instead.

Is lunch during not part of the catering at UOB?

Idk if I'm being dense or not. But on the Bristol website they only mentioned breakfast and dinner times for the weekday, does this mean they dont provide lunch? Am i paying only for breakfast and dinner?

Should I get a bachelors in maths if im not naturally good at maths?

Bit of a silly question but a very big concern of mine. I've always been a straight "A" student at mathematics however unlike some of my other classmates who also get straight A's Im not naturally good at math. It takes me hours and hours of practice to get a good grip on a topic whereas my classmate understands complex high school topics in minutes. Not to say that he doesnt practice math on the regular but hes just so quick at problem solving and critical thinking. My concern is that undergrad level math might be out of my depth and that I need a base natural level of intelligence at math (which i do not have).

Is it feasible to get a masters in aerospace with a bachelors in applied mathematics?

I'm a high school student who wants to get into the aerospace field but im at a crossroads right now. I have to pick between mechanical engineering and applied mathematics. I've chosen these two because I think they give me a broad base of education and give me the luxury to pivot into different fields if I change my mind on aerospace. Currently I'm leaning towards mathematics as I'm pretty good at it and also because my physics is a little bit on the weaker side. Another reason I chose mathematics is because from my undertsnading of what I found online and through teachers I talked to, is that the mathematics degree can also give me the option to pivot away from STEM jobs towards into finance or some other field. Although I still am very interested in machanical enginering thanks to some CAD-related projects and extra classes.

Although my primary interest IS more towards engineering I do not want to close doors to other fields.

My Main concerns are:

Can I get a job in the engineering field with just a mathematics degree, and if so how much more difficult would it be?
Would getting a applied mathematics degree put me at a major disadvantage to those with bachelors degrees in engineering, while applying for a masters in engineering?
How much more difficulty would a masters in engineering be given that I do mathemmatics as an undergrad degree?

Any and all advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

Ive seen a lot of posts about people talking about getting a degree in maths and the same unis pop up: Oxbridge, Imperial and Warwick. Whereas Edinburgh promotes that its top 5 in the UK for math. I understand that Oxbrige, Imperial and Warwick are prestigious universities but are they that much ahead of edinburgh? I have no knowledge about the mathematics field in the UK and would love any and all input.
The course im looking at specifically is Applied Mathematics if that makes any difference.

I know there's been a couple of posts about this already but I had to ask again for myself. ANY tips and help on how to answer paper 1B would be greatly appreciated. Any important topics to look out for and any important graphs/experiments to remember.
