Regarding 12th boards marks

I just received my 12th marks and they are VERY bad. 79% only even though my predicted was around 91% And it is totally unexpected so i will definitely be sending for re evaluation. My question is, can i wait for re-eval and then upload the marks or do the 12th marks have to be uploaded immediately?

qualifications: very consistent with my academics, recently ISC results came out and I'm a national topper with 100 in English, History, Political Science, Geography. 99 in Sociology and 94 in Econ (if it's relevant, I was the only humanities kid in school w econ so gave exams without classes just basic prep back in December). 99 percent in ICSE. I've never not ranked first in any class.

Do I list ECs? In general I've done everything which was available to be — won every creative writing competition I've participated in, scripted and directed four street plays, inter school recitation, extempores, debates, quizzes, spelling bees. One MUN only with special mention🙏 it was idk too expensive so didn't participate in more. I edited and proofread the school magazine and my works are published in the same. No books published ofc because, well, money.

I've known that I want to do Political Science and then International Relations. Research, diplomacy civil services, policy making — we will see. I'm also really into literature (Donna Tartt, Jerry Pinto, Woolf, Wilde, Octavia Butler, Toni Morrison, Dostoyevsky, Kafka, Emily Dickinson, Plath, Christie, Atwood, Richard Siken, Gaia Rajan among others.)

Okay so since I'm from ISC this cuet thing has been very draining — I was never one to do the my-board-superior debate but genuinely ncerts and the format of cuet itself is so reductive that I cannot get myself to be serious about the prep and I feel really guilty about it. I do not want to elaborate but I've been burnt out for three months now. I miss the depth of the syllabus, how open the exams were to subjectivity and critical analysis in general😭 these pyps are not intellectually stimulating, very repetitive and honestly I'm exhausted. Truly brain numbing. And I just cannot get myself or force myself to lock in because do we really want to find out what comes beyond burn out?

There's CUET, Jadavpur & Presidency's entrance, I will apply to Ashoka as I qualify for the scholarship. SXC kolkata I'll easily get into, but it's private and I don't know about any aid available. finances are tight.

Everybody around me doesn't seem very academically motivated or are taking drop years to travel, which good for them whatever fares them well I'm not criticising anyone.

My parents are very supportive and will go with whatever I want. I found Jadavpur's entrance really fun (Presidency's was fine too) and find myself leaning towards Jadavpur because of the specialized IR ug department but the media narrative or whatever true stories has made everyone wary of that choice so I'm tired and confused and ugh if anyone has something nice to say now's the time.

I'm so tired

This is so inconsequential

Query regarding boards marks

Cbse results are out today. My marks are devastating. Failed in Math, which is my strongest subject and there's no way I'm actually failing in math. I have an unconditional offer of admission from R1. I'll put my paper for revaluation, and if that doesn't work, I'll sit for the compartment and pass, of course. Can somebody please guide me about what happens after this at Ashoka, and what I should do ? Thank you

People willing to share their essays?

I feel REALLY really stuck rn abt my essay. Is there anyone willing to share their essay in dms? You can change it slightly if that's your concern and it's okay if you're not accepted or something.

Do i have a chance?

i recently heard about the uni from a friend and they suggested me to apply. i aim to pursue a bsc degree and want to research in biology related fields in the future. i have applied for IAT and NEST and want to keep Ashoka as a backup. But my only concern is if i will get in because even though i had scored 95% in 10th boards, i was only able to score 80% in my 12 boards in stream PCMB. My std 11 marks were not pretty either, but ofc i had passed in all. Will this be a reason for my rejection or will this not have much of a say? Also i have not appeared for SAT, ACT or JEE mains but will be appearing for CUET.

another question my family's income is 15 lakhs per annum, and according to what i googled my fees for 4 years is adding upto 3 lakhs max? sounds quite unbelievable to me, so could anyone clarify what the fees would actually add up to?

Anyone whose AAT wasn't good but still got in?

Most of my maths questions were guesswork, OSE had a good beginning but a non-direct conclusion. It was overall mid, the same for my application. I know some mid applications are given a chance, but I guess if you link it with mid aat, did I already blow my chance?

First of all, I apologize for polluting this sub because I don't even know if it's appropriate to share here. (Do lmk if it's not I'm a bit hesitant already) but I just had to and I'd love to share her I'd but forget it. So this girl just randomly dmed me yesterday asking about ashoka or whether I'll get in so I was just having a normal convo w her but she started off with some over the top questions which I honestly thought was weird but yes she continued asking and going deeper like cup size, and waist size and what not. It was really weird and I know I should've blocked her but I felt like I was being rude and maybe she's one of those girls who are like extremely open and like straightforward and she was mentioning "girl talk" so I was like okay maybe this is how popular girls talk??she said i should dump my bf😭but I didn't give in I kept the convo strictly about campus and insecurities and then she just went overboard bro. Such a pervert. I was genuinely traumatized hearing it from a girl. I might be overreacting but I honestly needed to get this off my chest. I am honestly still uncomfortable thinking about this. Am I being valid???

Also again, if anyone thinks this isn't appropriate to post on this sub, PLEASE do let me know.

Edit: the person is esme_ralda13. since they've been bothering so many people it's better to block them or stay away lol

Deferred Candidate Marks Upload Query

With a predicted 96, I was able to score 93.6

How often do people end up getting taken with a difference in predicted scores and by how much?

(R1 deferred candidate btw)

Edit: Only 1 subject ruined the percentage 😭

THEY F'd ME SO HARD both my essay questions were absolute dogshit, i attempted the one about English being the dominant language and how it gives opportunity to people who speak other languages. i couldn't write much and time ran out as i reached the 2nd line of my conclusion, couldn't even finish it 🫩. the test went great tho it was quite easy especially the maths, except 4-5 harder questions like that Duolingo one. what about y'all, how was the paper?
