Millennials (ages 24-44 in 2026), what was your favorite thing about life in the early 2000s?

I grew up as a kid in 2004-2010, and it would be old school YouTube, early online gaming, and the internet being its peak of existing but not being intrusive of everyday life.

Fellow 2002 babies, how does it feel to know we’re not far from 30?

Big 24!!! Only 6 years away! Honestly I’m looking forward to my 30s as 30 isn’t even old to begin with. I’d rather be more established in life and more in association with 30-somethings than the young gen today. Plus I hear the 30s is the best time of your life anyways…

I am jealous of when you all were in your 20s

You guys didn’t care about what anyone else thought! You partied, got drunk, fell on the floor, took funny pics, and then got McDonald’s breakfast after. I was born in 2002 (Zillennial cusper) and my older best friend born in 1992 tells me all the amazing things from 2004-2011 but I can only view it from a childhood lens. I try to have fun with friends I find but most my age are definitely more judgmental than you guys were. They always are afraid of taking risks, who’s watching, being cringe, etc. I truly think Gen Z is more conservative than you guys were. I mean they literally were children and teens when the culture wars started. It’s normalized to them. You guys may have said problematic things by today’s standards back then but it was more due to ignorance or being uneducated. And don’t even get me starting on the fear of aging. You guys knew at ages 22, 25, 27, you were young while Gen Z is afraid of turning 25 or even 20 when aging is a privilege not everyone gets to experience.

I’m jealous how carefree Millennials were in their 20s

They partied, didn’t care who was around, got drunk, fell on the floor, danced crazily, wasn’t scared about aging in their 20s because they knew being 22, 25, 27, whatever was young. You saw it in early YouTube and reality tv where most young stars were early to late 20s. Today our gen really does care too much about the vibe and what others think. Not to mention the fear and turning 25 and even 20. That simply did not exist 10 plus years ago. It’s just crazy because aging is a privilege, some don’t get to have and to fear something that you will inevitably experience (you should hope to experience such) is just dumb. It’s so obvious Gen Z is more conservative truly. Millennials were less judgmental, and even if they did day “problematic things by today’s standards” back then, it was more being just ignortant and uneducated on such topics.

Does anyone else deeply miss 2006-2012?

I was born in 2002 so early Gen Z/Cusper maybe , but this era truly is my defining moment growing up as most of my love and inspiration for things like fashion, old school YouTube makeup, music, gaming and movies/tv shows comes from this era. I’ve just stopped keeping up with new things today because it’s all bland, corporate overrun, and depressing. So I’d rather just relive the things that defined my growing up experience in the 2000s/early 2010s and keep my sanity lol. I can’t even hold a deep conversation with most younger than me without Tik Tok being brought up and while there are some funny videos, a lot of it is depressing, fake videos made by AI, or just brain-rot in general.

Is Nraas story progression really worth it?

I know I’ve seen people say it makes such a big difference and adds story progression/life to the game but my question is, doesn’t the game already have story progression at its core? Like I know you won’t get all the pop ups but thats kinda what makes the game mysterious and fun not knowing who’s getting in a relationship or who’s dumping who… Also it has a major performance impact so thats another layer to consider wether it’s worth it or not. What do you guys think?
