I’ve seen some uno cards on the workshop, but they’re either just a reskinned sandbert or can’t move. So, I started thinking of an actual unique UNO card.
Taunt: showing the back of the card with uno on it or smth
Dodge in any direction: turn into a skip go card
Parry: turn into a reverse card
Attacks: When you spawn in, seven random cards appear on top of the character thing at the bottom of the screen, and each attack uses the first card in that line, discarding it after it influences that attack based on the card value. When there is one card, the attack is extra powerful. When you use up that last card, you are dealt another seven.
Specials: nspecial could be drawing another card at the cost of being damaged a bit, and other special moves could incorporate wild cards somehow?
As you can tell, I’ve never made a character before, so I would defo appreciate some input and help on this. The actual making of the character though I would do, as I have some experience in pixel art and animation, and programming.
Hi guys. I’m making a handheld device for my sister, (seen in picture) that will be used for playing her playlists on Spotify. We have a Spotify premium family plan. Anyways, there would be a raspberry pi plugged in 24/7 running something like librespot or a different community made library for playing Spotify music, making it into a stream so that the device can use that steaming url to play the music from the pi, and control playback of the stream via the three buttons there. (Forward, back, and play/pause) is this against Spotify’s terms of service? I’m happy to provide any more info btw
“The next train will be stopping at this platform.”
I was told on my first post that it would be cool to have updates, so here we are. The components have arrived, and while arranging them on the perfboard I decided to revamp the layout a bit. Now it vertical instead of horizontal. The power switch would go on the left side right beside that left most button. Now about the software aspect and idea itself, I’m thinking that this wouldn’t just be limited to playing epic the musical, but any playlist on Spotify that the user would set it to when it is in setup mode. This makes the device less like a mp3 player that needs WiFi and Spotify premium to work (disgusting, I know) and more like that thing that Spotify used to have… I believe it was called the Car Thing? A dedicated Spotify player. As you can see, there is not much space for an sd card module on there lol
So basically all of us are very into Epic, but my younger sister can listen through the entire thing no problem. The issue is that she uses an iPad for this which isn’t the most portable and also requires a password to be done to set things up. Now, I’m quite fond of making little handheld devices, and I’ve made a few for myself and have been wanting to make one for someone else. So, I found out it was possible to use the Spotify API to stream a specific playlist, and my sister had the idea for it to stream the whole of the epic musical. This device would be easier to use and more portable than the iPad she uses, and would look kinda retro which she’s fine with. What do you think? Does it sound like a good idea?
Also do you know of a better streaming platform than Spotify that I could use as an alternative?
A clip I took a while ago, just found it now when going through things to delete on my PC
