So im new to this sub, and have taken admission in a BBA college in pune and am in year 1. Its a specialized course, and i do like it here (somewhat) after 2 years of basically just getting through IB. And the thing i hate here is the arbitrary assignment culture, they literally upload assignments every free minute and expect journals to be filled with index, cover page, etc like bro are we in grade 5? They literally keep class on alternate saturdays and the assignemnts are so called “practicals” and “skills” like its literally fucked theres no practical exposure they have a really nice visual merchandising lab too, but they dont even take us there. These guys expect us to fuckin do internships in our full 2 months of vacations and barely take any holidays like bro our college literally gamed their way to the top to get NIRF rank 1 its not even fair they basically sacrificed student welfare, welfare of young adults who want to enjoy their lives and are never gonna get these years back this college is literally fucked. Before you tell me and compare this to kota or jee or neet, i agree its not yet that bad. Also my college doesnt have a single air conditioner and expects us to wear full formals in 35-40 degree weather for practical exams too like wtf man.
Also i have to wait ages just for a simple assignment check they literally rush journals and the professors barely touch them it literally lies in their cabin for weeks.
I actually wanted to take a gap year after 12th, but my parents literally forced me to take admission here against my wishes and saying gap years harm chances later, but somehow westerners end up taking them and do just fine and have well explained gap years too like why cant we. I couldve used the gap year to build a profile and possibly go abroad for graduation. I have literally had so many fights with parents on this, and now i can go abroad for masters only next, or if im lucky enough for an exchange semester.

So i currently have a MacBook Air i5 2020, 8 GB RAM, 512 GB storage. On macOS sequoia it runs really slowly and fans kick in when i do basically anything on it and it slows down like anything. I have tried using windows with bootcamp but it simply crashes all the time on it and has hardware issues. I am planning to give it to a family member, so want them to have a fully running one which runs smoothly too.
I tried installing zorin os/ubuntu budgie on it, but when i boot from the installer it just freezes and doesnt respond even if i have disabled secure boot in macOS recovery. And i tried searching for help online but it turns out that its an issue with the T2 chip, so anyone whos found a solution or used a parched version? Thanks in advance.
