Where Exactly Is This?
Definitely Chicago judging by the streetlights.
If I were to guess it maybe the storage yard and maintenance shop on Grand Ave. west of Western Ave for the Milwaukee RD.
Possible?

I can't remember what PBS show it was.
Maybe "The American Experience." But it was on Julia's Biography, and it mentioned when Julia met Paul, her dad for whatever reason wasn't fond of him. Her mom died when Julia was in her teens according to the episode. Don't remember after all these years what the reason was.
Interestingly long after that, a lady posted on the PBS message boards, this was before FB and the others existed, who lived in a neighboring town of Pasadena said as a teen in the 50's, Her mom introduced a friend of hers who just happened to have been Julia and was told she was a good cook and helped them making a certain type of cookies.
Can't remember the brand but it wasn't till at least 10 years or so down the road saw her friend's mom and realized she met someone who was now famous. Met her before she was.
I asked her if she knew anything about Julia's background and thought her father may have felt she married out of her class and also mentioned she and her mom had to go to Julia's childhood home that very day because she rarely visited home.
So do we know if Julia and her dad ever made peace with each other or if Mr. McWilliams ever appreciated his daughter's fame if he lived long enough to see it?
Wonder what it's like now?
Does that intersection at some point get a traffic light?
Don't get why there wasn't one there.
Amazing this was videotaped cause I think it took more work to do videotaping outdoors back then.
I myself got cared over Chrissy hysterical
Probably around 1973,74 or 75.
I don't know the exact location either though I'm guessing halfway between the downtown section and the city limits.
He mainly sees Big Bird and he brings up Mr. Snuffle Upaguss with Mr. Rogers and he believes Big Bird that he's real.
Many who grew up on both shows in the 70's and 80's might remember for years the grown-ups didn't believe BB that Snuffy was real and while it had its humorous moments' I felt it was pretty sad that this kept happening. It was just pointless and BB suffered too many years of the adults refusing to believe BB.
I often wondered what Mr. Rogers felt about it?
I 1st visited it in 1981 and this is what it looked like. I don't know if this is the 1st original photo.
At least taken before 1975 or 76 since the Water Tower Place and hotel attached to it hadn't been built.
Though they began installing the sodium vapor lights in 74 it was still the previous system here.
Taken at O'Hare field in Chicago.
Probably along Irving Park RD.
Don't think you can park along the side of airports anymore.
I've been chased away myself.
