Mid Life Crisis Truck

I bought my mid life crisis car for $1,700 from its resting spot under a shade tree in southern Alabama.

Fast forward ten years…

I love my truck.

In my cupboard right now

I got rid of our newer one and kept this one, because it was my moms.

She died 3 years ago in February.

I love using her things in my kitchen.

And this still works great!

Run, Joe Run

This was one show I had to watch every week in the 1970s especially when I had a German Shepherd at home.

The Secrets of Isis 1975

This is the first regular live-action television series with a super powered heroine played by Joanna Cameron as a lead or title character.

Remember When...your kids (or you) were obsessed with Beannie Babies in the 90s?

I still have a bunch of them that my kids had to have. Not sure why I keep them--I guess I'm hoping one of them will be worth something someday since some once sold to collectors for thousands of dollars!

OK, Jonesians, how important is sэx?

NSFW??

>!My wife and I are near 60 (she's younger and I'm older) and our sex life is slim. At my age (& blood pressure) pharmaceuticals are sometimes involved. Still, it's an occasional treat a couple times per month.!<

>!Still, I'm not upset at that. My wife is my companion & partner and the fact that sex is rare(-ish) and will, likely, one day stop completely, doesn't bother me. The partnership & companionship are enough.!<

Mount Saint Helen's eruption - 46 years ago today

Hard to believe that it was 46 years ago today that Mount Saint Helens erupted.

The geologists had been up there studying earthquakes for the preceding few weeks, they knew something was happening.

When it erupted the ash traveled to eastward and fortunately we weren't in the path of the fall out.

We did get a little ash on our cars, but nothing like the inches deep mess in eastern Washington, Idaho, and Montana. The sky was black in the middle of the day and you couldn't buy an air filter for your car.

Long time ago, but still a very clear set of memories. What are your memories of the eruption?

EDIT: removed apostrophes where permitted
