I think I finally understand why my mom used to say "log kya kahenge" every single time we had guests coming. Because I have been scrubbing my bathroom tiles for 45 minutes straight and I am starting to hear her voice in my head. My cousin and her husband are visiting from Pune this weekend and I made the mistake of saying "haan haan, ghar pe ruko, hotel mat lo." I said it so casually as if mera ghar actually saaf hai! Being an adult is basically spending money on things you never cared about as a child

Today i bought bathroom cleaner, garbage bags and a mop. Ek time tha jab I was enjoying my life, abhi bas chaiye ki kitchen se smell band ho jaye 😭

I romanticised living alone way too much. Thought my life would look like those Pinterest apartments with soft lighting and organised shelves. Reality? One week of office stress and my room starts looking like Chernobyl with fairy lights. And why do dirty utensils multiply overnight?? Someone explain 😭

I told my landlord I'd return the flat in "move-in condition" when I leave. I just walked around the house lekin i don't think deposit milne wala hai mujhe. And the walls are dirty that I have no memory of creating plus my bathroom has entered a different dimension, one section of tiles is yellow, other is white! (now we know what Monica faced!)
