UPDATE 2 [₹3L RTX 5090]: Amazon faked a refund to silence me, and the data trail I’ve uncovered is incredibly suspicious.
Long Story Short for New Viewers:
- I ordered a ₹3 Lakh RTX 5090 graphics card on Amazon India ("Fulfilled by Amazon").
- I received a 1.56 kg packet of Ghadi detergent inside a tampered GPU box.
- Amazon's own shipping label literally says the package weighs 1.56 kg (the actual GPU weighs ~3 kg).
- Amazon initially denied the refund. After my posts blew up and I filed a National Consumer Helpline case, they promised a refund to quiet things down. Now, they are just infinitely stalling.
If you thought the 1.56 kg detergent packet was the craziest part of this story, buckle up. I've been digging into the GST records and seller history, and the coincidences I am finding are absolutely wild.
First, a quick update on the "investigation." After my last post blew up and I filed my National Consumer Helpline (NCH) case on March 23rd, Amazon reached out. They told me they were officially initiating the refund and that the money would hit my account by March 30th.
Because of that, we dialed things down. We thought the nightmare was over. But when I checked in on the 28th, they suddenly pushed the date to April 7th. They are just stalling and looping me in circles. It really feels like the refund promise was just a tactic to buy time and kill the social media momentum.
While waiting, I started looking into the seller, and I stumbled onto some things that just don't add up. I am not making any direct accusations here, but I want you guys to look at these data points and tell me this doesn't look highly suspicious.
As I mentioned before, my invoice from the seller "FAB WORLD Point" was billed under the name MOHD KHALID. It had a fake 0% GST charge, and the HSN code on the invoice literally does not exist.
I found another buyer on X (Johnson Augustine) who ordered a GPU and received a packet of sugar instead. Johnson actually sent legal notices to Amazon. Shortly after, he posted an update showing a manually typed email from an Amazon employee saying, "I will be issuing a refund." The first name of the Amazon support rep who manually typed that email to him? Khalid.
To be clear, Mohd Khalid wasn't on Johnson's invoice, just on mine. It is a common name, sure. But seeing the exact name on my fake invoice, and then seeing a support rep with that same name manually processing a rare refund for another scammed buyer right after getting a legal notice... it is very, very weird to me.
I pulled the GSTIN (07CHBPK5367G1ZA) from my fake invoice. That GSTIN is linked to two different registered stores - one dealing in men's garments and another in cement and tiles. Upon checking, both of these physical stores are closed and non-operational. Their GST registration only authorizes them to sell garments and cement, not electronics.
But here is the crazy part: the administrative office registered under this GST is located at almost the same address as the Amazon warehouse in Okhla, as well as being very near to Gigabyte India's office as well as the office of WPG COMPUTERS AND (INDIA) PRIVATE LIMITED who have actually imported that GPU, to India.
How does a seller commit high-value fraud for years on "Fulfilled by Amazon" without getting permanently banned? How do packages weighing 1.56 kgs continuously pass warehouse weight scans when they are supposed to contain 3 kg flagship GPUs? It really makes you wonder how these weight discrepancies don't trigger any internal logistics alarms.
Amazon thought lying about a March 30th refund would make me shut up. Instead, this has escalated 20-fold.
I am sending formal legal notices to Amazon right now. The National Cyber Crime complaint is filed (including all the proof of the shell companies and the HSN code that doesn't even exist), the bank dispute is active, and I am not backing down. This isn't just about my ₹3 Lakhs anymore; this is a massive, organized internal fraud ring operating right out of Amazon's own logistics hubs.
They want this swept under the rug.
