Welp...

Sooo... my dad's car isn't like it used to be. I was driving it with my sister in the passenger seat, and we were gonna meet up w/ some of our friends. We were going across a notoriously difficult diverging diamond, and we had the green. I took the car off the line, carefully, but all of the sudden, bam! This is the bit I don't personally remember, as I was... not there. Apparently, this Chevy Cruze ran a red light and just slammed into us. The fact I was unconscious was also the reason I don't have a pic of the actual scene. I was okay after the fact, and so was my sister. The other guy broke his arm. Good riddance to bad rubbish, I suppose.

Transmission swap?

My 1994 Legacy Wagon LSi's transmission has met an unfortunate end. I posted on here some time ago, and someone told me to look on Copart, and I found the listing you see in the second photo. I have looked it up, and it appears as if the transmissions are a match (TZ102ZABAA-TZ102ZA3BA), they are both 4EATs. I want a second opinion on both that, and the challenges in doing a swap of this kind. Thanks!

It's finally gone.

After 22 years of ownership and almost 450,000 miles, the transmission on my 1992 Subaru Legacy wagon has finally given up. It's gone to 4 different countries, the better half of states, and it's lived in three of them. If it could tell a story, it would write a novel. It was my first car in 2004, and has seen me grow up and turn from a teen into a woman. I'v loved it for most all of my life, but now, it's giving up the ghost. I might get a new 2026 Toyota Rav4, but it just won't be the same. RIP to a legend.

Are these any good?

Hi. I live in Sweden and I feel as if I would be safer with these fog lights, although I'm not sure which ones to get. I looked it up and these appeared to look okay, although I want a second opinion. Also, I believe they would fit on my 2012 Forester Diesel, but please do correct me if I'm wrong. The lights it currently has just don't cut it for the snowy nights we get here. Thanks for the help!

Should I get this bull bar w/lights for my 2012 Subaru Forester Diesel?

Hi! I live in Sweden, and I've been looking for a good bull bar like this. This is a Rally Innovations 2009-2013 Subaru Forester 2.5X/XT Rally Light Bar [SU-SHA-RLB-01] (idk what any of this means) for 3600 Swedish Krona. I have no Idea what it should cost, but please, weigh in.

Not the most exciting by any means, but I can get to work and back, and that's all I need. So far, It's been good to me, just a tiny dent on the trunk, but everything else is okay. It was $8500 with 108k miles, in case you were wondering

I am a 16yo trans girl, and I just went out with my dad to buy my first car. We had already looked at a couple, and one we were looking at was a 2016 Ford Escape. As we pulled up to the house (we were searching on Facebook Marketplace), there was a "Vote No" sign out on their lawn. This is a big deal, since in Virginia, there was a big issue about unfair voting maps, and this guy wanted to keep those unfair maps the way they were. We knocked on the door, and this guy looked me up and down. My dad said, "Hey, we're here about the car." The man huffed, pushed past us, and led us to his driveway. We looked over the car, and everything seemed to be in order. Then, I asked if I could take it on a test drive, and, rightly, he asked to see my driver's licence. Now, my licence still says my real, dead name, and my biological gender. Seeing this, he went into a fit, not letting me near the car anymore, shooing me off. I asked again to take it out, and he snapped. He said a lot of things, and none of it appropriate. My dad took me back to the car, and we went out to get a sympathy shake. Does this kind of thing happen a lot when buying a car, where people gatekeep you from making sure the car is okay, and possibly even giving an upcharge? Thank you!

Hi. I am hoping to get a replacement for my old '06 Tuscon, and I am ready for an upgrade in size. I would like to make my choice by the end of the week, since I am going on a big trip to Cincinnati next weekend. Please tell me if any of these cars are specifically problematic, or if any are worlds better than the others. All of them are on Carvana, and all have free shipping to Charlottesville, so that is not a worry. Thank you for your help!

This is the only angle I could get of the car without going into the woods. Edit: This is not AI

I've been looking for a good first car, and I've encountered quite a few suspicious listings, but this one takes the cake. I can tell the photos aren't AI generated, but I'm pretty sure the text is. Is it ChatGPT, or am I going crazy? Also, does that in any way affect the way I should see the listing? Thank you!

2018 Avalon XLE with 120k miles and for $18,000 it might have been a bit expensive. I love it so far though!
