I need help finding my 2014 Subaru Forester BLUE. And my Husky Maverick

I need some help finding Maverick please! He has been missing 2 April at 818pm, last seen with sitter leaving in my car. Andy is a missing person, and I reported Maverick and Subaru as stolen.

2014 Subaru Forester 2.5i, BLUE. license plate is BMEN70. It is a Colorado Parks & Wildlife novelty plate. The vehicle is also stolen. It has tinted windows, two black front wheels. Roof Rack. It has a "Mountains Please" sticker on the back door, along a Colorado rockies magnet. And a Haute-Savoie flag sticker, it looks like a red and white cross similar to Switzerland flag..

Maverick is microchipped and on HomeAgain, 24petconnect, and pawboost as lost. 11 years old. Left eye is blue, right eye is brown. Missing toe front left paw. Mild arthritis. About 60lbs. Siberian Husky. Classic husky colorings, black and white, with a black spot on belly in the white fur. His collar is gray with black geometric patterns. His tag is silver with white faded/worn mountains and has his name on the front, on the back is address.

Hood scoop for 98 forester?

When I think of Subaru, the first thing that pops in my mind is “wow sweet hood scoop”. My subie is NA, so no turbo or TMIC, but I really like the look of the scoop.

What scoop would fit this hood? Impreza scoop, or is there a factory option one I need to import from Japan?

Picture for attention. Thank you!

First Subaru

2017 XT Touring. I’m loving this after a lot of research on what to buy. So much fun to drive. Coming from a 2013 Ford C-max. Miss the hybrid features a bit. Maybe I’ll be after one of y’all’s later model hybrids next time I buy.

Well Damn

Went to a dealer to pick up a hitch receiver for my new Wilderness and parked next to this 2026 in Dark Mahogany Pearl. And check out the gold detailing.

Definitely hits different in person and in direct sunlight.

First Subaru! 2026 Forester Wilderness

Everyone has complained about how underpowered this car is in other forums, but I’m coming from a 2006 Toyota Prius so I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the experience. Also feels very capable of rallying the ridges of Big Sur.

26 Hybrid Touring!

It's all mine now! Yay!! (Those are dealer plates from when we had it on a test drive.) Really enjoying it so far. Upgraded from a 2014 Limited, so the new tech is fun. So far I'm at about 30mpg, but I'm only 160 miles in so I'm sure it'll get better.

River Rock Pearl exterior with the touring brown interior... it's funny, I just realized the steering wheel is a totally different color (grey) - what gives with that?

My new baby

Just bought a 2010 Forester for 2000 CAD (1450 USD). This chariots got 256k KM (159k miles). Bought it from the only owner, he’s had the timing belt, water pump, exhaust system, and timing belt replaced. Barely any rust underneath (quite rare living in Ontario). Came with 4x winter tires on rim, and 4x summer tires, all brand new!

First thing I did was put in the summers with new lug nuts, next week I’m going to do do all my maintenance (AWD oils, transmission oil, engine oil, coolant flush), get it detailed, and undercoated.

I’m curious on what mods I should make since this will be my daily for a while I hope. Thinking about taking it on a trip to BC this summer as well.

I think I got a good deal, what do you guys think?

Rear-Ended Forester gang: what’s been your experience?

Got in a fender bender this week. Looks like the damage is isolated to the hatch, spare tire bin, and bumper. Nothing looks bulged in on the inside of the trunk. My Lachute muffler was spared and everything else important under the backside looks ok. All lights and backup camera still work. Is this going to take months in a shop to fix? Anybody have any comparable experiences to share to put my anxious mind at ease?

My poor Ted only has 4 payments left 😢 on the plus side, the anti-collision brakes saved me from front end damage. Subaru will get more of my money.

First time on the time

Took the subie out on the beach for the first time and watched some people who didn’t air out get stuck. One of them was a forester wilderness lol

Looking into getting a Forester

I'm looking for a new vehicle and thinking about a Forester as an option. I'll likely buy used, 2019 or newer. I have 2 large dogs I need to accommodate and this vehicle is mostly used as my daily commuter and adventure vehicle. My commute isn't a standard city commute, it's a 2 lane highway with a speed limit of 80 km/hr that winds around a lake, through a forest, and up a mountain pass; snowy conditions are always expected in winter.

I'm wondering about all your pros and cons of having a Forester, what the fuel economy has been like and just any general tips about potentially getting one!

Screen damage/bubbling? Has this happened to you?

Hi Subaru friends! I’m not sure what to make of what’s going on with my touch screen in my 2019 Subaru forester.

I got my car detailed yesterday late afternoon. Prior to this, my car was admittedly very dusty (see before pictures of touch screen taken yesterday before detail cleaning).

When they finished, the screen looked like this (see pictures labeled “after- same day”). When I woke up today, 16 hours later, it is visibly worse (see pictures labeled “after-day 2”). Each original bubble has formed more branches.

Could it be from something the technicians who detailed my car did? The rate at which is worsened over night leads me to believe that if it was something that pre-existed I surely would have noticed it. I know my screen looks super dirty in the before pictures, but with the car on and screen lit I fully believe I would have noticed something like this beforehand.

Additional details:

when I scratched the “bubbles” with my nail in two tiny spots (I thought it was something on the screen I could scrape off), they chipped off (see pictures labeled “chipped”)This left the outline of the bubble and a flat shiny area where the bubble was.

It almost looks like the matte part of my screen is bubbling/flaking off? Is that possible?

Or, is it possible I left a removable protective film on somehow from purchase years ago?

2022 Forester Premium Cover Issue

Does anybody else have an issue with this piece becoming loose due to road and car vibrations? I'm not sure why the plastic clamps come loose or the name of the part. Am I the lucky one?

Anyone know how to remove these bars?

They appear to be OEM. They also really look to me like they're on backwards. 2018 base model Forester.

Noise when braking at low speeds

Hi all! College student in need of help- I've had my 2015 Subaru Forester for 2 years now. Bought it used at 90k miles, now up to 121k. In the past year she's needed some routine maintenance (some of which my dad and I have been able to do), but got both lower control arms fixed last fall and most recently I noticed a squealing and clicking noise ONLY when I brake at low speeds. Got all 4 brakes and rotors replaced which corrected the squealing, but it still ticks at low speeds when I brake. No bizarre shaking and the brakes work functionally fine, but this noise is concerning me and I cannot for the life of me figure what's wrong. I can send anyone an audio clip if needed, but it's just a tick tick tick, sounds like it's coming from the front right side mainly as well. Any thoughts?

2023 Forester Battery drain

I have 54.000 on my Subaru Forester that I bought new August 2023. 3 weeks ago I attempted to start my car after a long weekend of no driving; the battery was completely dead. I jumped it & took it in to the dealer & asked them to do a diagnostic to see if some other electrical issue might be draining the battery. They found no battery drain occurring. paid $400 for a new battery. This morning I attempted to start the car after a week of no driving (I was on vacation); the new battery is dead. Any suggestions?

Dcm drain on 2023: is that a thing?

Never had any issues with my battery before. Have even left a light on overnight. I recently didn’t renew the mysubaru subscription after the free trial and my battery went completely dead one day. I took the fuse out after getting a jump start and I am lowkey afraid to put it back it to test if it is the problem. Not due for an oil change for a while and the dealership is pretty far away. Is the DCM drain still a thing on 2023 models?

Should i be worried?

Hey guys, I was driving this morning and it kinda felt like my forester might have stuttered. Like I pressed the gas and it jumped forward, stopped, and jumped forward again with no issues. I tried to see if I can recreate it on the rest of my drive to work but nothing happened. honestly it reminded me of a transmission slip from another car I've driven before. It's a 2022 Forester with about 62K miles
