We’re first time parents and originally from another country. Our baby is currently 1.5 years old and we’re planning to send her to a nursery/daycare and planning to call up a few to do some visits. For reference I work from home about 20 hrs a week and husband has a 9-5 and goes into office 4 days a week. We’re in north London area. We have the funded 30 hrs per week.
Could someone share in what you’d looking into while finding a suitable daycare? Distance from home? Ofsted Rating? I’ve also seen a few named forest schools nurseries? Do they do different activities vs. Normal daycare?

I’m a FT buyer, and our survey report came back with a few points on the wall cracks. our solicitor followed up with the question on a full structural survey.
We’d like to know what’s a full structural survey? And what should we expect to investigate?
Hi everyone, has anyone successfully negotiated the selling price down after the survey report lists an extended 50+ points to fix? (Some are minor, some are more urgent?). The sellers broker keeps saying many of the issues raised such as a few roof tiles missing are “aesthetic” so the seller won’t pay or won’t fix before selling the house, but the survey report says eventually the entire roof will need to be changed which is going to cost over 10k+, what are your experiences dealing with this issue, and what are some of the successful arguments that you have used against the agent/seller?
