Transparent Shopify breakdown from one of our recent ~$4.1K revenue days.

Transparent Shopify breakdown from one of our recent ~$4.1K revenue days.

I know a lot of people post screenshots, but I always cared more about:

  • profit
  • AOV
  • backend revenue
  • actual conversion improvements

So here’s the breakdown behind this day.

STORE PERFORMANCE

Revenue: ~$4,139
Conversion Rate: 2.75%
Increase vs previous period: +15%

The biggest shift honestly came from improving AOV instead of only chasing more traffic.

For a long time, we kept focusing mostly on ads and creatives, but too many customers were still checking out with only one product.

Once we improved bundles, quantity discounts, upsells, urgency, and post-purchase flow, revenue became much more stable.

WHAT HELPED MOST

  1. Quantity Breaks Simple “buy 2 save more” offers outperformed complicated funnels.
  2. Bundles 2–3 product offers increased cart value much faster than expected.
  3. Upsells Small add-ons after add-to-cart performed really well.
  4. Social Proof + Urgency Simple countdown timers and purchase activity notifications increased action rate.
  5. Email + SMS Recovery Abandoned cart + browse abandonment flows recovered a surprising amount of revenue.

TOOLS WE USED

  • COVA Bundles & Upsell (generated ~$1.8K in extra revenue through bundles + upsells)
  • Klaviyo
  • Dondy
  • Judge.me

One interesting thing:

A big part of the extra revenue came specifically from bundles, quantity offers, free gifts, and upsells increasing average order value.

Biggest lesson:

A lot of stores don’t actually have a traffic problem.

They have a monetization + AOV structure problem.

Now the next target is scaling this to ~$10K/day within the next month while keeping margins healthy.

Current focus:

  • more creative testing
  • higher AOV
  • better retargeting
  • stronger backend flows
  • gradual ad scaling without killing CPA

Curious what’s working best for everyone else right now:

  • bundles?
  • upsells?
  • subscriptions?
  • SMS?
  • post-purchase offers?

Curious how Shopify store owners here think about bundles and upsells right now.

Do you actually see meaningful AOV increases from:

  • quantity discounts
  • product bundles
  • free gifts
  • urgency/social proof widgets
  • post-purchase upsells

Or do most customers ignore them?

I’ve been testing different setups recently and noticed simple offers like “buy 2 save 10%” seem to work better than complicated funnels.

Also wondering:

  • what apps are people actually using?
  • what features feel unnecessary?
  • what’s still missing from most Shopify upsell apps?

Would love to hear real experiences from merchants running stores day to day.

For Shopify store owners using bundle or upsell apps which one are you using right now?

I’ve tried a few and honestly keep running into the same issues:

Either they’re too expensive once the store grows, too complicated to set up, or they slow down the theme.

Curious what everyone here is using for:

— product bundles
— quantity discounts
— free gifts
— post-purchase upsells

I recently came across COVA Bundles & Upsell and it actually looks pretty solid so far. The crazy part is it’s 100% free for the next 60 days, which is rare for Shopify apps in this category.

Still testing it, but curious what else people recommend.

What’s been good, and what should I avoid?

Instead of just explaining why the symptoms happen, it makes dog owners feel the symptoms.

That emotional part matters a lot.

When an ad makes people feel guilt, fear, or urgency, they are more likely to stop scrolling and take action.

It’s not just selling the product. It’s making the problem feel real.

I’m curious what’s working best:

  • affiliate partnerships
  • agencies
  • Shopify consultants
  • organic content
  • app store SEO
  • cold outreach

I also run an ecommerce operator group, so I may be able to help connect good Shopify apps with real store owners if there’s a good fit.

For affiliates, what setup do you use to track referrals and commissions?

It helps Shopify stores create bundles, upsells, quantity discounts, BOGO offers, and free gift campaigns to increase AOV.

I’ve found that offering it 100% free to the first 40 Shopify stores is the best way to improve the app with real merchant feedback.

only for real store owners who want to test it and tell us what should be improved.

Would anyone here be interested in early access?

I see a lot of stores using popups, bundles, free gifts, quantity discounts, and cart upsells.

Some look clean and increase order value. Others make the store feel cheap and hurt trust.

For Shopify store owners here, what has actually worked for you?

Bundles, BOGO, free gifts, quantity breaks, post-purchase upsells, or cart upsells?

I’m curious what people are expecting for the start of the week.

I’m looking for private Shopify/ecommerce communities with real store owners, not agencies, service sellers, fake gurus, or spam.

I currently run an ecommerce Telegram community with 319+ operators, including people doing serious numbers and founders from well-known brands.

I’m mainly trying to connect with more real operators who are actively building, testing, and scaling.

What private communities are actually worth joining?

Most public groups I’ve seen turn into spam, guru content, or beginner questions.

For people running real stores, where do you usually get useful operator-level discussions

I know it’s risky and not easy, but I’m curious what people here would actually do.

Options I’m thinking about:

  • invest in AI companies
  • start trading
  • start dropshipping
  • start a YouTube channel
  • sell a service, like building simple SaaS/tools/websites

If you had $5k and 12 months, which path would you choose and why?

I’m leaning toward memory/storage because of AI and data demand, but curious what others think.

Like spin-to-win, scratch cards, mystery discounts, or short quizzes.

I keep seeing normal “10% off” popups everywhere, but I feel like people ignore them now.

Curious if gamified popups actually bring better emails, or just more low-quality signups?
