My independent game.

Game Title: Boxpast Lov3you

Playable Link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4290500/BOXPAST_LOV3YOU/

Platform: PC - Steam

Description: Your Character: You will play as an antivirus software (in the form of an old computer) tasked with eliminating viruses. (There will be familiar viruses you may have known or heard of, with the iloveyou virus from 2000 being the inspiration.)

Storyline Depth: Each virus you face is not just malware, but contains complex human stories (joy, anger, love, hatred, greed, envy, and delusion). The game delves deep into the hidden aspects of those who create or spread viruses (out of curiosity, unintentionally, with the interference of organizations or companies, or because they feel like saviors), and the guilt of those who create viruses before realizing the seriousness of the situation, and how society will judge their mistakes later.

Interaction and Ending: The game heavily emphasizes philosophy and empathy. Based on whether you understand or refuse to empathize with each virus's story, the ending will change to reflect your own moral perspective and inner inclination. (Each component will also have its own story.)

Below is a summary of the gameplay and some game mechanics:

Dynamic Economy & Investment: In addition to fighting monsters and collecting chests, you can invest based on world news. Every outcome (losing to the boss, sparing the enemy, etc.) impacts stock prices, creating unpredictable investment risks and opportunities, and opening up different storylines and endings.

Balanced Equipment Build: The game prioritizes compatibility over "expensive means powerful." The component system has been simplified (bypassing complex power calculations) so that even those unfamiliar with PC hardware can easily grasp it. (I learned a lot from Elden Ring.)

Random Element (Roguelite): The strength of monsters and bosses changes randomly each time a new level is entered. In return, you get to choose the type of reward you will receive in that map beforehand. (I learned from Dead Cells and Slay The Spire.)

PC Maintenance Mechanism: Computers can suffer from dust, loose cables, or insect infestation, causing minor adverse effects. Cleaning your computer isn't mandatory or annoying, but it's key to optimizing your power when facing difficult bosses. Skills are "Software": To use a skill, you have to "install" it. The stronger the skill, the more beautiful the effects, the more hard drive space it consumes and the more powerful the graphics card required to run smoothly. (I really like Diablo, so I definitely need many skills.)

Sekiro - Nine Sols -> If you don't have time to consider building your equipment, then just play in the style of Sekiro and Nine Sols, with counters and blocks. (But it will definitely be difficult because my boss is learning from Dark Sols)

"Overclocking/Software Testing" Mode (Under consideration): A PC assembly mechanism to see if that configuration can handle a specific heavy software/enemy. For example, you see Photoshop on the market and you have 15 million VND to buy a PC that you hear runs smoothly and handles well, but you still can't imagine how it will perform. Okay, try building that configuration in the game and fight against that software. If it kills the boss with one hit, then that configuration is great for that software.

There are still countless other interesting features that I will present in more detail in the next 2-3 months.

Currently, the UI and sound are still under development.

If you find anything unsatisfactory or have any suggestions, please leave feedback.

Thank you so much!

- Currently, the audio section only contains temporary test sounds.
- I'm currently working on combining gameplay elements from Dead Cells and Diablo.
- My current game also has a similar blocking mechanism to Sekiro.
- There are many different endings.
