for context i'm 28, so idk if i'm too old for this game. but i see everyone suggest it as the "forever" game. that if you had to play a game for 12 hours a day for 10 years to get 20 million dollars people would choose minecraft to play. i don't get it. each time i play i've gotten bored and bounced off the game. i think partially it's because i'm not much of a creative thinker too. but i want to get into minecraft. what are the goals and methods that i can play that will get me hooked onto this game, (if it's possible)? and which should i play, java or bedrock? what are the pros and cons? i own both. but mainly teach me how to get hooked to this game, i don't want this to be a bedrock vs java discussion. i know that's been done to death before. thanks!

basically they're all on sale and i'm only going to play one of them. which version is the best? i'm thinking about starting with the first one but it also seems like it could be pretty dated. also there are different versions of the games, which one should i start with? i heard 2 is the best, i like collecting loot and i heard 2 has more of a looting gameplay than the others. so i'm leaning towards that one, but help me pick. they're all 85% off right now. i'm playing on PC. thanks

like a game so good that you would buy it for someone just to experience it for the first time because you want to share that experience.

I been watching lord of the rings, and what stuck with me that I thought was cool was glamdring, the sword that shines blue when orcs are near. I also liked the mythril armor. I want that kind of vibe, where I can get a unique sword that's legendary. Games like dark souls and elden ring dont count because it feels like it has an abundance of unique weapons. I want a game where there is only like one legendary weapon you get that's maybe achieved in late game and then once you have it it's awesome. Any suggestions? Thanks
