10 minutes ago saw theres a window update. click update and restart. pc loads like normal, put in my password and get to home screan, and cant open any apps. cant use task manager, open cmd. discord launches on startup, loads up and then is just a black.
restart multiple times, pc loading like normal no signs of anything wrong.

Can right click on taskbar to see task manager button, open sound slide and minimized apps arrow, but no apps or tools even attempt to open.

load into bios just to see if i can, out of curiosity think maybe turning fast start off will let it load properly. low and behold it works.

no idea if this was strictly because of windows update or what. but beware

windows 11
ryzen 7800x3d
9060xt 16gb
b650 aorus elite ax v2
32gb ddr5

Just did windows update and restart. Now I can not launch any apps, use task manager, open cmd, anything. I can open some task bar things like the sound and little arrow, can type on the search bar, can right click and click on task manager, but when I click on anything it doesn’t even try to load. Discord still auto launches, loads up correctly but then the discord app is just black.

It fits over the correct spots, but has to bend to reach them. Top right is the most egregious. Pls don’t tell me I have bent motherboard

Solved edit: I have an antec flux case. If anyone is reading this is future, the pre installed middle and top middle standoffs had a slight raised edge at the top. Normally the middle standoff has this for aligning the motherboard, but in my case it was propping my motherboard up. Just removed them and replaced with non raised standoffs.

building a pc, my mobo doesnt have aio header so i can either plug pump into cpu_fan or cpu_opt, and radiator fans into the other. reading online seems like either will work, but saw more people saying to plug pump into cpu_opt.

i watched a video from jayztwocents who did a test and found that running pump at 80% speeds was just as good if not better than 100%, and increases lifespan. then i saw a comment on reddit saying cpu_opt wouldnt allow you to change pump speeds.

im new to water cooling so tryna figure all this out.
