I have an original Muddy Waters show poster from the 1964 (Folk Singer record tour) I know Willie Dixon and Buddy Guy were on the album but does anyone know if they were part of his touring band?

The first time I saw Buddy Guy was his first concert after Stevie Ray Vaughan died…

They played together along with Eric Clapton, Jimmy Vaughan and Robert Cray in Wisconsin the night he died in the crash. Buddy’s next show was scheduled not the following day but the day after that in Toledo at our free “Party In The Park” summer concert series. The crash was big news and there were no announcements or cancellations talked about for Buddy’s next show but we figured he probably wouldn’t show. We all crowded the riverfront hoping he would come and he did. He made no mention of the crash and played a normal set and for his encore came out and said “I’d like to dedicate this to my brother Stevie who died the night before last” and played a blistering 30 minute version of Stevie’s “The Sky Is Crying” and while soloing he would suddenly stop and burst out in tears and then resume playing the hardest hitting guitar you ever heard before stopping again to cry for a moment and then resuming again. The entire crowd was bawling, myself included and I have never seen anything like it before or since. He walked into the crowd playing and was drowning in tears and jamming and everyone in the crowd just kept hugging him and crying, and he kept playing and would nod and try to smile. I will never forget it. I was 18.

I will be seeing Sean Lennon for the 5th time in a couple of weeks with his band Claypool Lennon Delirium. I’ve seen them 3 times and they are fantastic. Their new record is their best yet.

This is an interesting album. It’s about ai and there are similarities to John as to be expected. The first few tours I saw them cover Tomorrow Never Knows which was amazing, and King Crimson and Floyd, but with this being their third record it really seems Sean has found his legs and really shines in his own creations. See them if you can they are an amazing band.

Unmistakable EVH guitar work here and you can hear him on the verge of becoming famous for that sound. Never realized it before but Ed seems to channel Joe Walsh in his style, with his bends sounding like Joe’s slide work. Impressive stuff.
