Baked Maple neck, Noiseless v4’s and a shawbucker. I’ve got my dream guitar and I wouldn’t change a thing. The Deep C neck is unexpectedly wonderful , the noiseless pickups are seriously underrated when playing with high gain pedals, and the shawbucker…Took abt 3 weeks in California, Would highly recommend. Mystic green is hard to find :)

NGD! (Fender Standard Stratocaster Plus)

I got this beauty today from a local neighborhood buddy for $400 with a deluxe Gig bag.

Its a Fender MIM Standard Stratocaster Plus Top Aged Cherry Burst installed with a pearloid pickguard with Fender 2019 Player Statocaster series pickups (alnico Vs). It originally had Ceramic pickups.

Sounds and plays well. Looks even better than I thought.

Great deal for a 10 year old guitar.

NGD! 2007 Classic Series 50s Tele

My first Tele! I am in love with the thick 50's neck, plays like a dream. MIM with an ash body, maple fingerboard and vintage pickups.

Not sure I am brave enough to try out the gold pickguard I thought would look good on it though lol

Do you have a love / hate relationship with any of your guitars?

My telecaster for example, love the way it plays but dislike its boring look. My Jaguar is the other way round, was my dream guitar growing up, it looks unreal but I’ve never got used to the short scale & jangling sound,

Moody Blues / YES Fender Rhodes Valuation

Trying my best to find a good valuation for my Fender Rhodes. 88-key March 1973, owned and used by Patrick Moraz of Moody Blues and YES on their tours (see plaque), with original flight case. Also fitted with some extra electronics/cableing on the rear. Any help would be awesome.

Struggling the justify the purchase of a new guitar

I currently own an early 2000s Squier that I’ve been learning guitar on for a while. It’s served me well, but I’ve run into a few issues that are starting to hold me back.

Only the bridge pickup has ever worked, the nut is wearing down, and I’m noticing more and more dead frets. I’ve tried to fix the fret issues myself, but haven’t had any success. It’s still fine for basic chord playing, but now that I’m starting to learn more songs and lead parts, these problems are becoming really frustrating. I’ll get most of the way through a song and then hit a dead fret that stops me progressing, which has started to kill my motivation a bit.

From what I can tell, it would cost more to properly repair it than what I originally paid for the guitar. Because of that, and because I’ve been thinking about upgrading anyway, I’ve been looking at used guitars on Facebook Marketplace.

The issue I’m running into is that I'm struggling to justify even a fairly cheap guitar because I grew up without much money for hobbies or “luxury” purchases, even though I’m in a much better financial position now.

In a way, I catch myself thinking I’d only feel comfortable if I was buying something more “investment-like” (like a higher-end Fender or vintage piece) that holds its value, rather than just a regular upgrade guitar. But that feels like overthinking it.

Has anyone else been in a similar position and if so, how did you approach it?
