Honestly it was such a great store. I don't think there is any store like it anywhere. I mean where else could you buy nuts and bolts, a bottle of wine and a sub all in the same trip.

Levis Commons to be sold to outlet developer

The Town Center at Levis Commons is being sold to an operator of outlet centers, its owners announced Wednesday.
Hill Partners, the Charlotte-based developer who constructed the Perrysburg mall, said that the new owner will be Tanger Inc. Tanger, which is based in Greensboro, N.C., has outlet malls in the Columbus and Cleveland areas and is “looking to expand their open-air retail portfolio,” according to the announcement.
“The Town Center has always been a special project — one built on vision, partnership, and a commitment to creating a vibrant, community-focused environment,” said Robert H. Spratt, Jr., president of Hill Partners, Inc. “The property is exceptionally well-positioned for its next chapter, and we are proud of the momentum, tenant mix, and strong consumer loyalty that define it today.”
The Town Center at Levis Commons opened in 2004.

EV ownership experience in Toledo?

I'm considering getting an EV for my next car, something with a little more trunk space like a Nissan Ariya or Kia Nero if we end up having a child. Here are my reasons for considering an EV:

  1. I have an attached garage with conveniently located outlets throughout.
  2. This would be a commuter car/errands car. My wife works 5 miles away and I can't ever see us ever needing to drive more than 20-50 miles on any given day, even with a child, so a slow charge in the evening through the morning seems like it would be enough to recover from the low amount of driving we do on a daily basis.
  3. We have an ICE vehicle that's under 100k miles, so if we need to drive further or if the EV has a low battery we still have a car that we can drive at any time.
  4. I live in Sylvania and there are charging stations by the Meijer on Central or the parking lot off of Main Street if we ever need to charge up to full (or 80% as it seems recommended) before or after a longer drive.

My questions for anyone who has an EV:

  1. Do you feel the need to have a separate 220V outlet installed? Do any of you have experience with slow charging on a 110v? Have you tried it but quickly decided to upgrade to a higher output outlet? What was it like (price, hassle, etc) if you did install a higher voltage outlet.
  2. Repairs/Maintenance: I've heard off hand that EVs generally have lower maintenance (no oil changes, brakes wear out less quickly, etc.). Has this been your experience? What happens if you do need to get your car serviced? Would it be better to avoid Tesla's and instead get something that could potentially be better serviced in the area, like a Nissan or Kia/Hyundai?
  3. How did you purchase your EV? I would like to buy a used EV because it seems used EVs depreciate more compared to similar ICE vehicles but it looks like the dealerships in the area only sell new EVs. Should I buy using Carvana? I've never bought a car online so I'm not sure if there are any serious downsides from purchasing a car from something like Carvana.
  4. How much do you feel like you've saved on gas? Electricity isn't cheap these days but neither is gas, though it seems that charging is still cheaper than gas.

Lifestyle Groups in Toledo?

Early 40s couple would love to find similarly-minded couples and individuals in Toledo and NWOhio area. We know there is the venue our on Airport Hwy, but experience there has not been positive at all. Hoping there might be something else out there that we've just not found yet? This may be completely inappropriate for this sub, but the others seemingly geared toward this topic are completely overrun with scammers and fakes and spambots. Thanks all!

Advice/Tips For New Toledo Residents?

Been creepin on this thread for a bit now in the the lead up to my partner and I moving to Toledo. Anyone have any general tips or advice on making the city your new home and maybe some exciting options for couples? Doesn't seem like there's much buzz of a nightlife online from what I've seen online

alright Toldeo I need some real talk because Im running out of ideas.i moved out to Oregon last year for a job and ive been trying to sell my place in the Old Orchard area ever since. its a 3 bed 1 bath but solid for the most part. the problem is the house needs a new roof and the basement has some water issues when it rains heavy. nothing crazy but enough that regular buyers get scared off.ive had it listed with an agent since January. dropped the price three times already from 165k down to 139k. had a few showings but zero offers. everyone just ghosts after the inspection report comes back. im paying mortgage on an empty house plus utilities and lawn care because the city gets mad if it looks abandoned. its bleeding me dry .i thought about renting it out but im 2000 miles away and being a long distance landlord sounds like a nightmare. what if something breaks? what if the tenants stop paying? I cant just fly back to deal with that.

one of my coworkers mentioned I should look into companies that buy houses for cash.

im also wondering if I should just drop the price even more. like what if I list it at 120k? at that point after agent fees id walk away with nothing but at least id stop losing money every month.or do I hold out and hope the market gets better? everything I read says interest rates might drop but who knows when.what would you do if you were me? Thanks guys

Non-Religious Pre-Ks

Just relocated to the Sylvania area from Tucson, AZ and looking for pre-K recommendations for my almost 4 year old daughter. Ideally starting within the next 1-2 months.

We are looking for non-religious facilities with a strong curriculum. My daughter was in a very structured Spanish immersion program in AZ and we are looking for something similar here.

PS- I’m aware there are no true Spanish immersion programs in the area, we are just interested in a “challenging” program to keep her interested.

PPS- I’ve heard great things about West Side Montessori but we can’t justify the $25k tuition (we also have an infant that will need care) and are unlikely to receive tuition support based on our family income.

Thanks!

Rocket Internet is created by the owners of Buckeye Broadband (Block Communications) who also has companies down in the south like MaxxSouthBroadband in Mississippi. So if you choose Rocket in those areas, it’s just Block Communications it’s not a “New” company so that’s the first, the second here in Toledo you are forced to use their modem but are free to use your own router, which is what I honestly recommend, the included router is low budget WiFi 6 e-waste, so I’d recommend getting a WiFi 7 router with the gig plan, if you choose the 600mbps you’ll be fine with the included router. It’ll work as good or as bad as going through Buckeye directly.

The only thing I don’t know is I’ve heard they still limit you to 20mbps upload when you have fiber availability, but I find that extremely hard to believe
