Countertop System Sterilization - Buying Used

so I got a used, like-new AquaTru system. Previous owner had it for about 8 months. It's clean, looks new, but did sit unused for a few months with some water still in the filters.

I want to sterilize the system before I install the new filters. My plan is to:

Run 2 tbsp of 3% topical hydrogen peroxide in the tank which is a little less than 1 gallon total.

Do this twice - Filters are toast anyways so I don't really care if this destroys them

Then, run the descale process

Then, replace filters, and run through the necessary new-filter steps

Anything here I'm missing?

Huge Temp Differences - Turbo vs Quiet

Is "Quiet Mode" some sort of undervolting?

I've been playing at Turbo for a long time and the laptop runs pretty hot with loud af fans.

I swapped over to Quiet Mode to run some TimeSpy testing and noticed that with Quiet Mode I was getting ... much better scores. And in game, my frames are within 1% and my temps from 80-90 down to 60-70.

Is this intended? Or am I missing something?

PH18-72 4090 model.

Upgraded to an ultrawide and no longer need my laptop to serve as monitor 2.

Problem is, it's enormous, and the cooler is also enormous.

Anyone come up with something clever to mount this under the desk?

Anyone know of a functional equivalent for the Steel Washers, 5mm (go in the locking nut) and the String Lock bolts at the nut?

String lock bolts look to be McMaster Carr Part # 92775A212 "18-8 Stainless Steel Extended-Tip Set Screw M6 x 1 mm Thread, 8 mm Long"

The Washers - It looks like we could order something called "DIY Washers" which is just flat washer material and you drill your own hole, but I cannot find anything in 5mm.

The Saddle locking grub screw: McMaster 93245A626 "Alloy Steel Flat-Tip Set Screw M2 x 0.4 mm Thread, 3 mm Long"

I'd love to buy from Strandberg but I've had check-out issues for 3 days now and the entire Spare Parts site seems broken at the moment, every single item is marked "Out of Stock"

LS49CG950ENXZA - "Pattern: DP Only" - $699 - SKU is weird, may be a Pakistan/China only item? Why does Amazon US have so many?

LS49CG954ENXZA - "Pattern: HDMI and DP" - $849

Are these functionally different, or is one just $150 more because it comes with an HDMI cable? Or are the inputs different?

Hi, I've had this laptop for about a year now. I bought it certified refurb during some crazy Acer sale.

While gaming, CPU temps are relatively decent at high 70s to low 80s. My 3dmark Time Spy score is 21682, 18119 CPU and 22462 Graphics.

But while idle, it's sitting around 60c and occasionally bumps to 70-72c. Seems a bit high.

I've tried a llano laptop cooling pad, but it doesn't seem to help much. It looks like the foam padding covers about half of the fan intake on each side so that's probably why. I now just use a simple prop and it seems to be better.

I've seen some people recommending cleaning out all of the Liquid Metal from the CPU and replacing with the PTM7950 but unsure what's best.

Option 1: Inspect CPU die and re-cover any dry spots with Liquid Metal - Wont this just happen again?

Option 2: Remove all liquid metal and apply PTM7950 - Seems like a good alternative but I'm not seeing many long-term success stories with this

I really want this laptop to go the distance and I'm hoping for 5 years of use. Any other tips for longevity?

Final Question: I had the best results in "Quiet Mode", I've read that this is basically a factory-setting undervolt since they locked the CPU down so hard. Is there any way to force a different fan curve so that I can get the undervolt benefit of Quiet Mode, but with more aggressive fan speeds?

Totally redoing my entire office. Got a beast of a desk from Uplift. Finally retiring my 15+ year old Logitech turd 2.1 speaker set.

I am not audio-inclined when it comes to connectivity, hence the IEMs. I have a really slick set of 64 Audio Custom IEMs but I just want some decent desktop speakers for my background music.

I was thinking Edifier MR4 + Eris Sub 8BT - Would these work well together and how would connectivity work? Just 3.5mm out from laptop? USB-C?

Any other recs?

I'm so new to this as I've always just plugged in to 3.5 and let it rip.

Long story short, in college I blew out my hip flexor, partial tear in psoas, yadda yadda.

The result is, I'm perfectly fine, but that area starts to feel... not great, once I put on about 275+ on a barbell for a squat. Considering I used to move 450 as a working weight, the hip discomfort quickly outpaces the muscular fatigue.

The only machine I've ever felt truly comfortable in is a Hammer Strength hack squat. The particular model, I've never been able to find it, but the safety stop was about 2" below parallel for me and it was just incredible to actually go all out safely.

There are tons of goofy Home Gym leg things around these days, but I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for someone that can't really squat. Though, I've had some luck with box squats, I cannot find any plyo box that fits my needs on weight limit (my body + the weight I need) or a bench with the proper height. My benches are all federation spec at around 17.5" in height and I need about 15" for perfect squat depth. I cannot find any ply box between 12" and 17" and I'm not too keen on a plyo box on top of several plates in terms of stability.

I'm also interested in Leverage machines, though I don't see any with an adjustable safety stop. Also interested in belt squat devices that I could use on my power rack but again, can I load up enough weight to get the job done on those?

Had emg X in it but the weird thing is it was all wired without the plugs. Maybe just due to age. But the switch had no tension and there was a ground issue I couldn’t track down. Turns out the ground from the neck pickup just didn’t exist? No idea how.

Adding a bridge ground was fun. Had to grind off the anodization under the saddle and drill. Also the old pickup routes seemed to be perfect depth for the EMGs. These are a bit thicker so I had to do some channel routing for the wires under the pickups.

Pickups are Elysian Valkyrie and they sound very tame in terms of output. Feels like the ash body can finally breathe and do something except high gain compressed chugging (which did sound great btw).
