Can anyone help me get a custom screensaver on a kindle 4?

I've been searching but all the guides I've found end up being for newer kindles.

I have managed to get it jailbroken, and I have an epub book file of the image I want to use.

Its for my mam for her birthday so want it to be adorable and customised for the old cow ❤️

I've discovered I am the most unwelcoming person in my workplace

During some recent discussions with my colleagues I have been told the following about myself;

- I thought you had a problem with me when I started because of your attitude and I asked the manager what the issue was

- I saw you on the bus and got off at a later stop to avoid walking with you

- I didn't like you when I first met you because you used to stare a lot

- I thought you didn't like me when I started working here because you never spoke to me

- I didnt like you when I started working here because you were awkward and always seemed pissed off at me

Also someone mentioned in a team meeting that I wasn't part of, that staff are unfriendly and don't make new people feel welcome (referring to me specifically without saying my name).

In my defence, I do have terrible anxiety around people I don't know. In my workplace all staff have a "one page profile" with cringey things like "what people admire about me" and "what's important to me" so I have updated that to point out I'm not.good with people I don't know and not to worry about it.

But I do wonder if anyone else is quite as bad as me or if I'm just especially difficult 😂 I'm lucky that my manager and my colleagues all explain to new people not to take my stand offishness to heart lol. Maybe I should take a people skills class or something?

Edit: I did not expect to get quite so many comments on this but allow me to clear up a thing or two;

  • whilst people do think I'm an ass at first they all seem to agree I'm alright once they get to know me, so I like to think I'm not an actual ass
  • I do my best to be okay with new people, but I do physically choke up when trying to create conversation in awkward environments or if I'm feeling particularly anxious, which I tend to around people I don't know, regardless of the setting
  • never had any diagnosis for autism or anything but yes I realise there is a good chance I'm somewhere on the spectrum for this reason and others. Not to interested in trying to get a diagnosis though, quite content in life as I am and don't feel it would change any aspect of it
  • also despite my attempts at friendly smiles i do believe I have a naturally miserable looking face. I once had an old lady stop me at the shop and ask me if I was okay because she said whenever she saw me I looked really sad. Also lost count of how many times I've been treated to a catcall of "cheer up love"
  • I am trying to improve myself in this way and I am already better now than I was a few years back. Certainly takes me less time to move away from the awkward silences that usually account for 90% of a shift with a new person

Reccomend some matching dragon and unicorn teddies?

I love dragons and unicorns. Literally adore them.

I would love for some suggestions of matching dragon and unicorn plushes, like the ones shown! Not just the same brand, but also the same style.

  1. Bashful dragon/unicorn

  2. Charlie bears dragon/unicorn

  3. Aurora palm pals dragon/unicorn

  4. Ty beanie baby dragon/unicorn

I do already have a bashful dragon, waiting to find a sensibly priced unicorn to match. And I have the beanie babies too. I haven't got the palm pals, purely because it bugs me that the dragons have no tails! Especially because the dinos do.

But I'm very open to adding more to my collection and would love suggestions of others!

I also have the aurora sparkle tails black dragon, whom I adore, and who I want to find a matching unicorn of. There's a few that look to be made in a similar style so can't work out who would be best to match him with! Feel free to make a suggestion :)

Would someone with size 6 whitins be able to measure the length of the insoles for me?

I'm wanting to buy a pair of whitins, but they come from the old usa. So I have to pay like £10 postage.

As such I would rather like to check the size as best as I can before I buy them in the hopes I dont have to return them again.

In fact, if you have a scanner and size 6 whitins... maybe you could scan the insoles for me for exact measurements 😂

When you finally get a nice photo

Penny is hard to photograph because she either doesn't sit still or she tucks her tail between her legs and looks like she's in an abused animal advert.

Can anyone help me get the most out of my camera?

I have an EPL-1.

I got it back in 2012 for a trip to Africa and that is pretty much all I've used it for, which is a shame. It has a lot of potential, but I don't really know what I'm doing with it.

My main subject is animals, and I struggle to get the camera to focus correctly.

I try to take photo in bright, natural light but not when the sun is blaring down to avoid those harsh shadows.

At the moment, I've only used the auto setting, and the sports scene setting. I was taught to use the half press method for focusing, but a lot of the time the subjects move right at the last minute and it ends up out of focus when I fully press the shutter to take the photo. I attempted the sports mode and none of my photos came out in focus regardless of if I half pressed the shutter first or just fully pressed it.

The photos attached were taken with my 14-150m lense. I do also have the 14-42mm lense (but generally thats too short a zoom for walkies).

I know there are general guides available out there but if anyone has firsthand experience with this camera or if there are any model specific guides that could be reccommended that would be super helpful 😄

I have yet to find out if it works, but once I can get my hands on a mini screwdriver and a button battery I'll be finding out 😌

I remember when this model first came out and my cousin bought it and I was so impressed by the screen, but up until a few weeks ago I'd never owned and ereader and never been really bothered about having one.

I've found myself reading so much more since I got it though. I still much prefer paper books but this is perfect for reading on the bus (I hate bringing my paper books in case they get damaged in my bag, even though I have covers for them lol) and for just grabbing when I'm on the go.

I also like having the option of multiple books to read because some days I want to read one story and another day I might fancy something different. Having a fee options in one place is brilliant.

I hope kindle brings out a newer version of this model though, the buttons and form factor are just perfect for me.

I've been trying for so long to find a case for my mini v4, its driving me nuts!

I have a tpu cover on it, so it doesn't quite fit in the original case. I have tried a handful of random things including a card holder (which I really thought was going to fit, damn). The only thing I've got it to fit in is a random cable case that I don't really love but its all I've got for now.

I'd like something that it fits in with minimal gaps ideally. Its to keep it in protected while its in my bag.

I'm trying to find a nice storage solution for my collection. I was wanting something with separate compartments so they dont get each other scratched up, but struggling to find something that'll work.

I've tried some jewellery and craft boxes up to to now but they've all been too small compartment wise. My pix I think is my biggest.

Any ideas guys? I'm in the UK too.

I think something mystical sounding would be nice. No people names though, maybe something nature-ey?

He's an FAO schwarz dragon! If anyone knows of a matching unicorn that would be awesome, I've found newer ones that look similar but I wondered if there is an older version made in this same style 🤔

Its currently running windows 10 but is so so slow and laggy.

I'm probably just going to be using it for a few important tasks, like replaying the sims 2.

I just wondered which is the highest version of windows it will run smoothly?

I purchased a pair of whitin high tops in size 7.

I really like them and I think they are a good fit but there is a little room at the toes.

I'd like to purchase some more whitins but wondering if I could size down to a size 6. I'm asking because I'm in the UK and returns would be an ass. The size 7s I got were from the UK, but 7 was the smallest size so I couldn't go lower with those and since they're high tops have more room isn't as much of a problem.

My foot length is 26.35 so I wondered if anyone else with a size 6 could tell me their foot length for comparison?

I do also need to ask if the mens and women's sizes are different in whitins because its not super obvious anywhere.

Thank you!

Edit: I've actually just realised the size chart for the ones I bought is different to the size guide of the ones on the US site. But on the UK size guide it suggests size 8.5 and on the US size guide it suggests size 10.5. So now I'm even more confused 😂

The ones I have now I believe say EU 41 though, not sure if that can help anyone sugget the right size for me?

I'm looking to learn more about natural disasters so interested in the type of documentaries that go through how they happened in the first place.

For example I enjoy air crash investigation because it tells you what caused the disasters to begin with. I also watched one a few months back about weather disasters like wildfires etc, might have been world's wildest weather? That talked through how the wildfire spread or what caused the hurricane to become so powerful etc etc. I also recall enjoying seconds from disaster years ago.

At the moment I have access to only free view and netflix, and I'm in the UK.

Thank you!

I spotted this gorgeous cow yesterday so naturally I returned to rescue him.

Unfortunately he's way more damaged than I realised. His whole back end and one entire leg is missing! Seems like he's been set on fire... presumably he was caught up in a bad break up 🫣

I would really like to find some flowery fur to replace his damaged parts but that is proving to be tricky! I'm hoping if I keep an eye out I might find a throw blanket that'll work with him.

He is so soft and lovely whats left of him though, poor guy.
