Im kinda getting sick of this sub

This doesnt even seem like a place to make friends its just a place for horny redditors, especially dudes, trying to get esex.

And even the numbers show it. As soon as you slap an "F" on your post, immediate 30 comments, and we all know what a fair portion of those guys are up to.

Then when people are genuinely trying to make friends, it just doesnt happen. Like ok if i post "19M" then it gets nothing. If i did a typo and wrote "19F" instead, then id get too many messages. Have you guys actually managed to make friends on here lol. I cant even make friends with other dudes either because they just want e tits. No one cares to hop on a game or talk about life. Its like people just cant be normal. Like dont people understand that theres more to life than flirting lmao, normal conversations can be fun too.

Once i even had a dude dm me, and thought I was a girl. He was in his 30s or 40s and said "well, unless you like older men". I told him im a guy and he deleted his account immediately.

People keep resigning so I get zero checkmate experience.

Ive been playing chess for 5 hours, and 80% of it was spent studying. I either lose, get stalemated, or if im actually going to win, they resign.

Problem with resignation is that it raises my elo but gives me zero experience of setting up and executing a checkmate properly. Is there a way to get past this?

I have an afro. Does this mean I cant do road cycling lol

Protective styles (twists, cornrows etc) cost like 150 nowadays, I dont have the money to dish out like that.

But wearing an afro also means I cant wear a helmet since it doesnt fit

Any good depression scriptures?

Sad music is fine and all but id like sad scriptures too. Wonder if lamentations is a good one. Loneliness and existential isolation scriptures also work. Thanks

Edit: I just wanted to say thanks for the suggestions. You guys are being really cool right now

Sometimes I feel like if I scroll too much in this sub, whether its in the comments or the posts, ill find a new trigger

Brainrot in university.

The internet is in a peak state of brainrot. It's gotten so bad, that everytime someone said "I cracked the code!", there is immediate neuron activation, and my brain is like "crack 👅? kinda crazy ngl"

And it doesnt even end there. In my math classes, my most recent prof talks slow. So when he says "derivative", I keep hearing it as "dih-rivative".

I assume itll only get worse from here

Cooked. But how bad?

Magical thinking is annoying

Its the most illogical theme that I have yet I still do the compulsion everytime. Its so bad I cant even sleep the other side on my bed because apparently if I do then ill die lol

Nonsensical? Yeah. But I also have base anxiety disorder. So I keep thinking "ok that sounds stupid but... just in case. Itll take no time to do the compulsion, plus we need to make it to the next morning"

And this is only one theme. I dont get how dudes beat this ocd thing. At least with depression, I can out-will it. With anxiety I can out think it. With ocd? You cant really do anything but take the hit

Usually for mental illnesses you beat it by fighting it, being proactive, and keep moving. But for ocd it just feels like how long you can handle the beatdown while being forced to do nothing 💀. Which is basically what ERP therapy seems to be

Is it bad that I hope I dont have autism

Im undiagnosed. However I do have very high functioning anxiety, depression, ocd, and inattentive adhd, and ive had a rough childhood and had to survive on my own early, so as a result of the combination of those things ive shown alot of autism traits including the lack of social skills, because I had 0 close connections through elementary, middle school, and high school, which are key developmental periods. Uni hasn’t been as bad but it’s still a lot lower than the norm of my age. Plus mental health. So as a result I tend to be highly logical, lack social ability and try to be on my own more due to bad experiences with people.

However, autism is bullied so much in 2026 that I really hope I dont have it. Its taken as a joke. Its used as an insult, and some people even use it as a substitute of the r word. If someone does something weird, disgusting or unacceptable? They say "oh that guy's probably autistic". Im just scared i guess. No one makes fun of ADHD but people definitely make fun of autism and some people view them differently in a negative way.

It’s the best shift. Worked it at 18 and I sometimes still miss it here and there, it even improved my mental. but can’t do it anymore since I’m in uni

Night shift doesn’t always mean depression.

Even strict diet didn’t help me ngl, idk what to do now. PPIs don’t help, gaviscon advance aniseed UK doesn’t help. . Even 9.5 ph alkaline water does nothing. If even gaviscon advance with a 1000mg sodium alginate raft isn’t working, then wth is going on?

I got my LPR from laryngitis then it just turned into reflux just like that. I didn’t have any prior signs of reflux. I was lean(still am), and I was losing at least 5000 calories a week from my job at the time(physically active). The job was vocally intensive too, and it was winter. My clinic doc said a teacher he knows got the same condition as me where nothing works for it, same winter as well, so I wonder if it’s a weird, complicated laryngeal injury.

If I didn’t go to work that week I may have not even been in this sub. It’s the laryngitis that started it ontop of my stressload. Then it just stayed there and my throat became sensitive.

0 digestive or GI issues. My symptoms are ONLY throat irritation, raspiness sometimes, and post nasal drip. ZERO GERD symptoms or anything below my throat. Almost no throat clearing either.

Obviously I don’t drink coffee or any beverage other than water either. For months and months. All strict diet does is make my LPR not feel like muscle tension dysphonia, but makes it feel like just throat pain instead.

It’s so weird too. I’d get triggered from whole wheat crackers, yet Walmart’s deli fried chicken tenders and even samosas don’t hurt me. Sometimes I eat my classic safe foods and get triggered from that too. Glazed Donuts are my biggest trigger.

I wonder if it could be laryngeal hypersensitivity or LSN.

I wonder if I should be talking to an SLP instead of trying to get an ENT(takes at 6-18 months). Last time I went to an ent they said my vocal cords move perfectly. Then diagnosed reflux because he didn’t see any MTD. So I don’t know. I’m suspecting LSN.
