Compilation of Stuff I Drew This Past Season (OC)

It’s been a week since the last episode of the season so here’s a compilation of all the stuff I’ve been drawing as episodes released. It might have only been 10 episodes but I still enjoyed the hell out of it. Excited for season 3 and I hope I was able to make some people laugh✌️

Does Frieren understand and appreciate the familial love that Fern has for her?

Frieren's understanding of human emotion is a slow, beautiful burn. Because she lives for thousands of years, the way she appreciates things is different from humans at the most basic level. So I wonder if she can tell familial love and romantic love apart.

Why does Serie want to see a mage as strong as her?

Frieren said Serie wants to see the advance of magic. Is that the only reason?

Serie's 'intuition' and this scene

Serie's 'intuition' as we've seen lets her read peoples' basic emotions. She can sense when Kanne is scared of her and can sense when Wirbel isn't. She can sense aggression from Denken and can also sense it from Macht when he reaches for his cloak to ready himself to fight instead of just returning Weise back to normal. She could probably sense Methode's affection(?) which is probably why she looks so taken aback when talking to her.

All that to say Serie more than likely knows exactly how Genau feels.

Serie is basically telling him that she knows what he's feeling and is warning him its going to get him killed if he doesn't stop letting it cloud his judgment. It also almost looks like it hurts Serie when she tells Genau to 'stay that way forever', especially in the anime where her face gets completely obscured by shadow when she says it.

The other mages who interact with Genau didn't even need special detection to notice how angry and full of bloodlust he was. Serie knew Genau was probably going to try and find the demon that killed his partner and wouldn't care if he lived or died while trying avenge him. Genau already knew Revolte's MO. He knew that when his group split up Revolte would attack the village again. Genau was basically planning on dying with the rest of his village and planning on dying exactly like his partner.

And that's why he thought of Serie's words as he was about to let himself get killed.

Serie knowing he was borderline suicidal probably paired him up with a healer who has a knack for battle strategy/team coordination and sent another demon suppression order to Fern to make sure Genau wouldn't go anywhere by himself when she saw where the demon suppression request came from.

TLDR: I think Serie isn't trying to insult Genau here she's just trying to stop Genau from essentially committing suicide by pointing out she caught him slipping up having 'feelings' and then put him on suicide watch with Methode and Frieren's party when she got the letter for help from his village.

Does this make it more likely that Stark’s using magic?

(I might be reading too much into a neat stylistic choice, but I always liked the idea that everyone can actually see what Stark does and how it’s not actually Demon-Slayer logic)

In season 2 episode 8, we have Zorida, who’s a demon warrior capable of using a simple magic spell that summons a vertical-slicing wind-blade. It has a similar glow to it that Lightning Strike has, which makes me wonder if Stark is instinctively using magic in his attacks and everyone just assumes it’s “something he can do.”

Within the same episode, he also uses his attack on Revolte, and it has this “weight” to it like Revolte’s getting hit by a genuine beam of light. On episode 10, he uses it against the monster and misses, too, which I haven’t seen before.

I dunno, maybe it’s clarified in the manga to be special effects, but it almost seems to be existent in the anime.

about Fern's items......

IDK if im reaching here, but I'd like to think that this is intentional. So my thought is, every item that i put here have some meaning behind it.

Fern's bracelet : it's from Stark, and it means that he will always by his side/holding her hand, thats why its in her hand/wrist

Fern's headpiece : it's from Frieren, symbolizing all of education/ teaching that Frieren gives to her, thats why its in her head.

Fern's staff : it's from Heiter, was given to her earlier in her life, and I think it symbolizes her crutch to help her walk forward after what happened to her. And it also means that Heiter will always support fern every step of the way
