Venting some personal frustration about how Iceman may be Marvel's most prominent queer character and has been out for a decade yet he doesn't do ANYTHING.

I have seen Xavier gaslight and lie to his students wipe their minds. It has lead me to believe he isn't a good guy. But on the other hand he wants peace with humans and mutants. I would like peace with mutants if they were real (I don't know about anybody else). He sends his students into dangerous situations. Scott and Jean being his first students seem special to him. They have been there the longest and he loves them like his children. But then when he let Magneto take over the school it was a bad decision. Magneto turned the Earth's poles upside down as much I as love Magneto I started to see why it was a bad decision.

The first Xmen team died and he wiped Scott and Jean's minds. What kind of father does that? Ok I'm done with this rant.

His name is Wasteland Magneto in Fortnite, kind of post-apocalyptic. I don't know if he's inspired by a comic or if it's an original design.

Didn’t their getting killed by the Upstarts happen PRE-Krakoa, in the Rosencanny run? They were all alive and well on Krakoa. We saw them as crew on the S.W.O.R.D. Space station.

Why does Tabby think they’re supposed to be dead? Did the Upstarts kill them again?

To be honest, seeing what mutants go through always makes me feel so sad. They just want to exist, but the world gives them so much hatred. A friend recommended this book to me, and I’m ready to see how it tells this emotional story.

I feel like the O5 get a bad rap for being too boring, but this book and the First/Second Class comics proved you can make them fun and interesting.

Jean being the pov character is perfect and she has a ton of personality here; the love triangle between her, Warren, and Scott is much more natural and handled way better than their one with Wolverine, and I love the way the story frames Xavier’s as a MHA-esque Academy of Adventure. It’s also fun to see the X-Men in their early days before mutants were widely known, and watch them slowly find their footing as a team.

If we ever get a full reboot of the X-Men movies, I hope this is the approach they take. It’s a great starting point for the X-Men franchise and makes for a solid foundation to build the wider mutant world on. If you guys have any recommendations for stuff like this, let me know!

For someone who gets Scott so well it baffles me how often Claremont refuses to write anything post Dark Phoenix. Often “retiring” or taking sabbaticals, to straight up leaving after he marries Maddie.

But in this mini, not only does he immediately side against Madeline and remains the leader who won’t give up a single person in order to win the day, but he just straight up blasts the ever-loving piss out of an actual God. He just doesn’t care who or where, if Scott Summers is positioned to stand on his morals he will. God he’s so cool, also he looks dapper as hell in this mini.

I took a small break reading X-books to read through Bendis’ Daredevil (that run took over my life for a month) but now after this I’m excited for Scott to hopefully be back more and I have the first volume of the X-factor “Original X-men run” omni to read after too.

Scott Summers is the goat was the entire purpose of this post btw lol.

I really liked their love story and there was so much more potential to develop a really good and long lasting storyline for Nate and Dani. Marvel didn’t really dove into the Mutant Shaman background of Nate.
I hope they bring back Nate after the X-Men of Apocalypse and shift him into Danis Solo series.
