My first game, Go Forward Survivors, is about to launch on Steam in just one hour. I'm nervous, excited, and honestly just grateful to have made it this far.

The game is a Survivors-like with a "Skill Editor" twist:

Each skill has its own unique attack pattern (e.g. spinning slash, throwing)

You can swap weapons to change the skill's appearance, collision range, and attack distance

You can socket gems to add elemental effects (ice, fire, lightning, poison), change projectile speed, or even alter targeting logic

Dozens of skills × dozens of gems × dozens of weapons × dozens of items = infinite build possibilities.

If that sounds interesting, feel free to check out the Steam page: Go Forward Survivors

Hello! I've been working on Vanguard Tides for a little over half a year now. Made in Godot!

It's an action roguelite where you fight in battles between massive armies that paint the battlefield in their color. In this GIF, you can see that the painted territory affects your health and your abilities!

If you're interested, I just created a Steam page and hit the first few wishlists! Please check it out!

Thank you!

I've been a fan of this genre for a while and kept bouncing off mobile games that never felt right. Soulstone Survivors is honestly what made me realize what I actually wanted, so I ended up just trying to building it myself.

I have zero coding background. Used AI to handle the code while I designed all the gameplay systems, ships, augments, and balance myself. Took way longer than expected but I'm genuinely happy with where it landed. This has been a huge and enjoyable learning experience for me.

It runs completely in your browser, nothing to download. Six ships, deep augment system with legendary tiers and elemental synergies, ultimate abilities, endless mode. If you've played Soulstone or Vampire Survivors you'll know exactly what to expect.

I would love feedback from people who actually know and love the genre. Please be honest, good or bad!

Hi! I tried to combine several ideas I liked from other games and create an engaging gameplay experience.

Overall, it's a pretty hardcore tower defense arcade game, where the main focus is on controlling the main character, but towers and allies play a huge role in holding the line.

Oh, and of course, I added a couch co-op mode. Testing the game with friends was doubly fun. I love that feature in games.

If you'd like to try it out, there's a free demo on Steam:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4669270/RESTLOS/

There's still a lot of work to be done, including balancing, so I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks in advance!

TerraTech Legion released last week, and it's the most original survivorslike i've seen in a while, so I want to raise the visibility. The basic idea isn't mindblowing. It's a vehicle horde game where you have a tank made out of blocks and as you progress you collect more blocks and weapons/accessories and when you level up, you add them to your tank. There's no permanence, so you can start from scratch or just add on as you need to in order to perfect your build. And the build matters because guns need line of sight, you can't block them with another upgrade, tires need to touch the ground, and physics matter.

As for action, the gameplay feels good. I haven't found a lot of satisfying driving bullet heavens (Driveloop & Pest Apocalypse excepted) so this scratches that itch. There are goals on the map, so you're not just driving in circles to farm xp, and there are lots of bonuses and resources to find so exploration is encouraged. If this was more of a traditional pick 3 with just the driving mechanics it would still be a solid game, i think. But the construction really makes it shine.

And the construction is fun and engaging. It gives stats at the end of the run, and when I won for my first time I had fifteen minutes of gameplay, but an hour and fifteen minutes of build time. About 3/4 through the run, I chose to scrap my whole tank and rebuild the whole thing from scratch, so I could fit every upgrade I owned onto it while maximizing placement of legendaries over common and whatnot. And I enjoyed it! I expect that with experience, the building process will become faster and easier, but I do worry that it might become tedious at some point. I'm honestly surprised there isn't an automatic build option for people who just want to drive or don't feel like playing legos. Like it just seems like a terrible design decision that seriously depletes your player base potential, but maybe they'll add one? I dunno, seems like it should have been a day one feature to me.

Anyway, it's on sale now for nine bucks, and it's in bundles with Soulstone Survivors or DRG:S for eight bucks, and it's included in Game Pass, and there's a demo, so check it out.

TLDR: TerraTech Legion good! 4.5/5 (6+ hours of gameplay on GamePass at time of review.)

Preparing my game (Pirate Survivors) for a demo after it's being in open playtest for a while.

And I've been wondering if showing locked content is considered good or bad?

On the one hand I intend to show that there's more things in the full game, on the other hand right now as not all content is finished it might seem like there's just a little bit more in the full game?

Or am I thinking about this too much? 😅

I’m the only one in our indie team who regularly plays games on the Steam Deck, but I think it’s absolutely worth it. I play Dead Cells, Brotato, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivors, and other roguelites on Deck almost every day, it’s the perfect genre for the Deck :-)

In the video, the grass details and resolution scale are set to 100%. By lowering the grass and setting the resolution scale to 90%, you’ll get 45–60 FPS during the entire game. Definitely good enough, considering that the Switch 1 for Zelda BOTW only provides anything between 15 and 30 lol

If you want to try our game Mycofall, here's the demo on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3701190/Mycofall/

For submission: no GenAI was used

Everything is Crab (a game all about Crabs & Carcinization) just released!

Hey all, dev from the game Everything is Crab here! We just released yesterday and would love to get some additional visibility on our release while it's still fresh!

We're also lucky enough to have an official pinned collaboration bundle with both Vampire Survivors & Enter the Gungeon on our Steam Page! So if either of those games are something you enjoy, then Everything is Crab may be a good fit for you!

What is Everything is Crab?

Everything is Crab (or EIC for short) is an Animal Evolution Roguelite It's heavily inspired by the initial stages of Spore combined with a modern Roguelite twist and a dash of Carcinisation (🦀) + Survivors-like added to the mix for fun wrapped in a souls-like combat system!

Hunt, Flee, Scavenge & Thrive in a living ecosystem. Choose from over 125 real world inspired evolutions & specializations to evolve your creature in countless ways with every run. Adapt to survive the natural curve in order to beat carcinisation... or get Darwin'd trying!

Look & Play differently with every single run!

Who are we?

We're Odd Dreams Digital: A small team of indie devs from AAA & Indie backgrounds looking to use our knowledge & expertise to create something we (and hopefully others!) love

Is it playable now?

Yup! We released yesterday on:

Thanks for your time and keep Crabbing on!

P.S. The attached pictures are just some examples of what kind of creature you can create (there's well over a million different combinations you can visually become with a ton of different gameplay playstyles you can lean into)
