Hi fellow gamedevs- our Trailer of Ophelia´s Paradise was just posted by IGN and I wanted to share with you the mail we sent, so you can adapt it to help you out in the future. This approach was recommended in this post from another dev here - and I want to thank you for that!!! Key takeaway: Short and simple mails work well and reduce friction. We only sent one mail and the trailer was posted three days later.

Es ist ein horde-Survivor, bei dem Builds ziemlich schnell eskalieren können. Gameplay-technisch geht es grob in die Richtung von Brotato, aber in einer mystischen Welt mit stärkerem Fokus auf Synergien.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share our game Ophelia’s Paradise. It’s a mix of Brotato-style gameplay with a more atmospheric, Avatar-inspired world.

A big focus for us has been making it feel really good on Steam Deck. One of our main playtesters actually plays only on Steam Deck and has been pushing every build to its limits. So controls and performance have been heavily shaped around that experience.

We’ve put a lot of work into making it run smoothly and feel natural with controller input, not just “playable” but properly optimized for handheld.

Also, our Steam Deck tester has completely shattered the high score at this point none of us devs can beat him anymore, even though we know every mechanic inside out. Maybe someone here can take him down :D ?
