This year, my vacation balance has been at zero the entire time. I haven’t used any of it because none has been available to me. I currently work part-time, but I’ve received vacation time in previous years, so I’m trying to understand why I haven’t accrued any this year. Has the company changed its policy regarding vacation time for part-time employees? I work in Texas btw.

Good day everyone! I am preparing to prime my entire house to remove a lingering smoke smell from previous owners. I am just wondering what primer would be recommended. Logically, extreme block oil would be the better choice but it doesn't specify anywhere about sealing in odours and the water-based formulation does. Any thoughts/suggestions on what would be best for this job?

I’m newer about 3 months mt, working my tail off every chance I get. Leading transactions, answering most of the phone calls. Doing truck. But I’m really struggling with product knowledge and it’s driving me crazy. Having to ask the assistant and the customers are super disrespectful to me. I shake it off. I can answer questions about our normal interior and exterior product line including primer. But the niche knowledge destroys me and it’s making me go insane. Is this normal or am i genuinely just not good at the job lol😂

Had a contractor call me the other day and order a quart of a color, he took the quart went and painted the entire door and then realizes the color was slightly off from the original color he was trying to match. He then calls demanding a free quart and I refused and told him “you didn’t think for one second to stop painting when the color looked different or call me to see if I can fix it” I then asked him if he did a sample of it to see if it matched he then said “why didn’t you tell me that?” I didn’t think that needed to be said lmao being that it’s common sense and a best practice.
He also gave me the spiel about how he’s been painting for 30 years and buys so much and yada yada yada.
I swear some of these DIYs and painters are some of the stupidest people I ever met in my life. I honestly don’t how these people go about their life 😂

I left SW almost a decade ago. What are the deliveries like now? Still the hub system and first come first serve? Is there a cutoff time for same day and to schedule a next day?

9 years I’ve worked for this company. 9 years I let people call me off the clock to help them, take customers orders. 9 years I watched as I get over looked for position after position..I’m sick and tired of it…and you give me $88.15 per pay check. I’m not sure why I expected anything different.
Giving us just enough to make it is wrong for the amount of crap we put up with. My district held a competition for which store would have the biggest blue bucket sales increase and the winner received bragging rights..HELLOOOO do they think we’re children?! Who, as an adult, is motivated by bragging rights??? Believe me when I say, the second I’m able to leave this company I’m gone.
