26M. First time living alone.

Here in AZ. Lived with roomates for about 3 years and then finally transitioned on my own back in August. Place is finally furnished. Glad I never looked back. Sorry for the mess I’m an artist! My work lives with me aswell lol.

EDIT: That sculpture in the middle of my entry was a wip. Not decor!

APARTMENT UPDATE (see previous post)

I recently posted my apartment to this sub ready to get some advice. I took some of it and threw some out. This is the accumulation of more stuff but I think it actually looks better.

Alright fellas, I'm conflicted. Bedroom upstairs or downstairs?

I'm leaning toward bedroom downstairs and living space/office upstairs. Closet, bathroom, and kitchen are upstairs. Lots of windows, and upstairs bedroom would probably offer more privacy, but I don't love the idea of having my bedroom off the kitchen when I have guests over. Downstairs is also wired with in ceiling speakers for an AV setup.

Budget bathroom remodel, how'd I do?

Redoing the shower wasn't in the budget, but quick remodel and update of the sink and cabinet. New sink/cabinet are IKEA and a bit landlord special looking, but I tried to mitigate that with the walls

I want to improve my apt but I don’t know how

Hi, I’m 27 years old. I work a lot from my home and a few days in the nightlife. I moved few months ago to this apartment and all the furniture that I have here is from an apartment that I was before so I think it’s not a very very good match, because I feel them pretty small here. so I’m trying to see how can I make this place feel more like a home, I don’t know if I have to add some wall panels, or change the rug or just make a good office in the second room. or maybe just I have to switch the living room and put the TV in another wall. I like this place but I feel it like weird. Any ideas or suggestions I would love to read. Thank you 🙏🏻

sacrificed visibility for ambiance

Have posted the loft here before, but usually during the daytime/twilight when the natural light is doing most of the heavy lifting.

Wanted to share a darker/nighttime version this time around since everything feels completely different after sunset.

For the people who asked previously, this is in Toronto. The loft is roughly 1700 sqft, 3 bed, 2 bath + den. The last photo is the primary bedroom, and the second bedroom was converted into an office/reading nook. The final bedroom isn’t pictured here because it was pretty messy while I was photographing the apartment.

Happy to answer questions about the layout, lighting, furniture, plants, or anything else.

23M living in my car roadtripping Europe (on a budget)

I decided I was tired of working for comforts I didn't need, so I started driving from Malta to the Northernmost point in Europe (Nordkapp, Norway), and back. The whole roadtrip should be approximately 14,000km (since I'm also making some detours).

On a tight budget digging into my savings 😅 If someone has income ideas for while I'm on the road, I'm all ears haha

I'm also documenting the journey on my YouTube and social media.

29M One year in my first (owned) home.

Can't believe it's already been a year since I bought this place (Or how dangerously close to 30 I am now 😬). Still a work in progress but pretty proud of how different it looks (Before on the final slide). Mostly my own handy work bar the Kitchen and carpet.

Starting again

Recently ended a 7 year relationship. Left the apartment we were sharing and now I’m improvising a small room inside my office to sleep and live for a while.
Not gonna lie, it feels terrible sometimes. But then I remind myself: I still have my arms. My legs. My mind.My health.
And the ability to start again from scratch if I have to.
A lot of people are fighting battles much heavier than mine, so this isn’t a post to complain. It’s a reminder to myself that life can fall apart unexpectedly, and still be rebuilt with effort, discipline, and time.
Baby steps.

need help choosing a rug

Tried creating some mock ups with Chat pee poo pee, sadly no matter what i did it just couldnt get the measurements down. Either way, I think you still get the gist.

I know a lot of the furniture sucks but thats what was there in the beginning, Im just trying to build some character upon that with the decor, since im not trying to stay here too long anyways.

Thanks for your thoughts and advice 😄

29M, Married, Safe Space

Recently my wife and I downsized from a 3500sq ft house to a 2000sqft, so my office became my gun room, office, 3d print room, and game room all in one.. quite a shift. But I’m happy with the space so far. Few things I want to accomplish still including adding an outlet in the closet for the lights, figure out a 3d printer filament storage solution, and get some better blackout curtains.

I’m not worried about security for this room, it would be futile to explain & show you my precaution’s. Just know you don’t gotta worry about it. That being said I want to get some better blackout curtains as well.

How am I doing?
