29M, Married, Safe Space

Recently my wife and I downsized from a 3500sq ft house to a 2000sqft, so my office became my gun room, office, 3d print room, and game room all in one.. quite a shift. But I’m happy with the space so far. Few things I want to accomplish still including adding an outlet in the closet for the lights, figure out a 3d printer filament storage solution, and get some better blackout curtains.

I’m not worried about security for this room, it would be futile to explain & show you my precaution’s. Just know you don’t gotta worry about it. That being said I want to get some better blackout curtains as well.

How am I doing?

I’m just a dude, how should I do this?

Second time home owner, first time home improvement. Just moved in and already planning my summer projects.

I got a new drive way, the old driveway had the yard overflowing onto the driveway. I want to prevent that. In my head it makes sense to build a couple block tall wall along the drive way and backfill for a flat yard. But with the tree roots (as shown) would this eventually fail? Or should I not do a wall? I’m 29, my dad is dead and never instilled any good knowledge into me, can I have a stand in father tell me what to do here

New House New Gunspace

Not 100% complete, few guns still not up. But I got my new office closet gun wall “built”. I’m not fully satisfied but getting there. The slatwall is its second install so it’s a little rough. Put it in my old house and the drywall was in much better condition. So this install wasn’t as smooth and the wall is hella warped.

It isn’t perfect but it makes my dopamine spike so I guess it’s doing something right.

Is it too high? Round 2

As I mentioned last time, we downsized from a very big house to a very not big house. So with that our furniture didn’t shrink but our living space did. I know it’s all too big for this room but I’m trying to make it work lol. In love with this sectional.

Despite everyone’s advice, I listened to about 5% of it. And winged it. I kinda hate it, I kinda love it. My eyes hurt, ultimately I think I’ll list this 85” and try and sell it then upgrade to a G5 or G6 65”.

Couch cannot fit any other way, if I flip it 180 degrees, it’s too far into wall way. I moved the entertainment center.

The under part of the tv looks like ass, gotta find something 14” tall to fill the space & let me hide the wires.

So glad to have my Sonos system all hooked back up, and now time to rip some Star Wars.

Wife and I downsized from a 3600 sqft house to just under 2k. I said nah nah the sectional and tv will be fine…. I fear in our new living room it will not be fine. It’s about 6-7’ of space from sitting to TV when it’s on entertainment center. I had to buy another stand as I tossed my old one.

Tv would be on the stand, on the entertainment center. And it’s an 85”… the couch cannot really fit any other way in this room other than how it sits. I plan to remove the shitty electric fireplace and patch the mantle spot, but I don’t think this 85” fits. I think I need a 55” or a 65”

I fear it must be sold

Disclaimer: this could easily be solved by selling the sectional. But I am in love with this couch, it’s the most comfortable piece of furniture I have ever owned and I love it. My wife has told me it’s got to go but I’m coping
