This is copied from my post to r/PCHelp, which got deleted for some reason. If any other photos or videos are necessary for my problem to be figured out, please let me know. Sorry for the imgur link but it was the only way I could upload multiple photos and videos. I can't figure out how my warranty works and I also don't know if this issue is one I need to bother with it for. Idk how to make sure my CPU is properly connected and I don't have anything to get a new Windows install if that's the problem.

My PC has been booting improperly after a month of ownership, and what happens when I turn it on is not consistent. Usually, it either enters a loop of "preparing automatic repair," freezing during that, and then restarting.

Or, it will start, do its "automatic repair" and then take me to the startup repair screen, with the three options to continue, troubleshoot, and turn it off. Neither "Reset this PC" option worked, neither did any of the other options; startup repair "couldn't repair my PC," with a log file that I don't have any idea how to access. No System Restore points, and Uninstall Updates didn't do anything. I have not touched UEFI Firmware Settings because I don't know what that means.

The last few days, it was actually booting fine if I hit continue, but only sometimes. When it does work, it will randomly freeze with no consistent timing as far as I could tell, and then restart. It has also been doing this prior to failing to boot too; freezing, randomly restarting, but booting normally after. The PC lights and fans did not stop running when this happened.

I don't know anything about PCs, hence the prebuilt, so I looked it up. I ran sfc /scannow, chkdsk, and chkdsk /f /r, because le internet said so. I did these when I was able to get into my computer yesterday, after it somehow worked after continuing to Windows. I recall SFC finding corrupt files, and supposedly repairing them, but I cannot run the command again from the troubleshooting command prompt to see what exactly it says. I will attach photos of what each command does, I don't understand enough to summarize; I will post an sfc /scannow video if it boots right again and if it's a good idea to even try to continue to Windows.

I have reseated the RAM into slots 2 & 4, I have not tried 1 & 3 yet because I am worried I will damage the pins - there's not a lot of room by the first slot. The little lock pin things clicked when I pushed it into 2&4, so I'm pretty sure they're seated correctly.

I also updated all my drivers, of course. I have not attempted a BIOS update yet, I need to buy a USB drive and see if someone will let me use their PC to do it.

I also uploaded videos of the repair loop (this can sometimes also lead to the "Choose an option" screen, I forgot to mention - other times it goes on forever), and photos of the EZ Debug lights; upon turning the computer on, the CPU light is red and the DRAM light is yellow. Shortly after, VGA goes white and BOOT goes to green.

I assume the issue is with my RAM and CPU. I do not know how to check the connections, and I don't know where the CPU is, as stupid as that sounds. I really don't know what I am doing. I do not know where I put any of the manual booklets I got for this PC, which makes this a lot harder.

I am very sorry for the giant noobpost. I am out of my element but I wanted to be as thorough as I could so that whoever DOES read this can help adequately. I wanna play me games and I don't have any money to take it somewhere right now, much less buy new RAM and a new CPU. If the PSU is the issue, I have a new one with a higher wattage that I can put in, if it'll fit, but my hunch tells me that it isn't the problem, at least not anymore.

Thank you for reading, and hopefully, for your help.

I just received a brand new PC and updated all my drivers so I should be good to go. I recently tried to download a game to cripplingly slow speeds, with ethernet. My wifi is getting 1Gbps, while my ethernet is getting 40mbps at best. What's wrong with my PC? It's the 5070ti, Intel i9, with 5 fans model.

Guys please bare with me as I have never built a pc or worked on one before, I replaced the Ibuypower aio with a arctic one and it was pretty much perfect until the cpu housing that pops into the actual pump that’s screwed onto the cpu doesn’t fit because the radiator is in the way. I had to remove a screw from one of the radiator fans just to barely squeeze it in there and get it to fit. I heard it snap in but I definitely feel like it’s not it all the way and the radiator is pushing on that cpu housing. What I’m trying to say is it’s a very tight fit. I know I can move the radiator somewhere else but I really wanted to match the configuration I had before. Also the tubes are coming out the bottom of the pump instead of the right side like before. I don’t know if this is even a problem I just don’t want the radiator to put so much pressure on the cpu fan/cover putting pressure on the pump then the motherboard or cpu. Thanks

Hello, I'm sorry if the following post seems noobish, I'm kind of flying in the dark here (literally made a reddit account for this) but I'll be as detailed as possible for my issue - specs down at bottom

I've been having some unknown issues with the screen, flickering in and out / flashing whenever I go on certain tabs (attached video for reference). It doesn't happen often, but with Spotify, it happens quite frequently - app or website. This started semi recently?

But It didn't bother me as much since I didn't use the spotify app or website on pc often. Th thing is it's been happening more often and just tonight, I believe my pc crashed? I was listening to soundcloud and the computer suddenly lagged and then went dark. It was still "lit up" but the monitor wasn't showing anything. I waited a few seconds then restarted the entire pc. It rebooted just fine but now I'm paranoid to even do anything without unintentionally screwing anything up (like walking on a broken bone).

I thought it was the HDMI, wiggled the cord around but the monitor itself would've said "Signal Lost". I ran Dx check, it said everything checked out, updated drivers through NVIDIA, yet still happening. I'm unsure what to do from here. I already contacted IBUYPOWER support in the past but that was about the RGB lights not coming back on after going idle. But I fixed that with MSI center.

Bought from Best Buy last year in November, I believe I got the warranty but I'd really hate to return it. Taking it in also may be a bit of an oof spot since I'd have to wiggle in a good time with work. Kind of flying a bit blind but this is my first prebuilt and first gaming pc (since I was only using a Lenovo laptop for five years). Should I take this over to MSI? How cooked am I? Any insight appreciated, thanks!!

Hey everyone!

Would love to know what games you have been playing recently or planning to play over the weekend.

Lately i've been playing a bunch of Counter Strike 2! Seeing if I can spot any iBUYPOWER stickers out in the wild.

Drop a comment of what game you have been playing yourself! 👾
