harvest moon echoes of terradea are you thinking of pre-ordering thoughts?
Hello! Just wanted to hear everyone's opinions if they're going to play or pre-order for the new harvest moon echoes of terradea? The last game I was playing was Grand Bazaar, (I'm used to more of the style of Grand Bazaar type of gameplay ) I haven't played any of the newer style games like Harvest Moon The Winds of Anthos. But this one seems a bit more interesting. Just wanted to hear from people before I pre-order if so.
Is this a new fan thing
I just saw a tiktok where ppl were calling Luna (as in the character from Tree of Tranquillity and Animal Parade) "pdfile bait" and how ppl that romanced her were predators. And im just genuinely flabbergasted, has this always been an opinion ive missed or is this a new fan problem??
I've never romanced the character myself (I was a Gil fangirl lol) but I thought she was so cool growing up, I loved her lolita fashion, design and even her name. So maybe im taking it a little personally, but idk, it felt like such a callous and heinous comment to make. Like HM/SoS has always had a soft chibi art style, everybody especially in the older stuff had cutesy faces and designs, it didnt mean you were dating an elementary student.
It makes me worried if we were to ever get an AP (or ToT) remake, that these would be the kind of sentiments and fans we would have to deal with and wow, it bums me out.
I loved this game
While I can understand why it feels like a knock off, I absolutely enjoyed this game. I liked how you could run around and find different seeds, instead of needing to sell different kinds of fruits and vegetables in large quantities to get the stores to sell more seeds. I really liked the rice Patty fields in the Asian inspired town because I could just plant my seeds and go about my business and check in to harvest.
I know the story was kind of lackluster but... The whole harvest goddess thing never really goes super in-depth from my experience in general. I could expand my disbelief to think that people forgot about the different types of crops over the generations. It's not perfect, and they could have done a little bit more but for what it is it's really good.
The love interest... Granted I haven't seen all of their events, I've only gotten Kanoa, Brandon and Sami, I don't really like how there's less events and kind of nebulous it feels whether you're dating or not once you get to the heart event. Unless they're actually is an item I'm supposed to make and give to them and I just don't know. That's a little disappointing. (I've also only played through the game once so far, I played through as the female farmer)
I like that you can tame animals and have them in your barn, I managed to tame the white unicorn instead of buying a horse. Once I saw it I was very persistent. But I also got the version of the game with the DLC included.
Overall I felt it was a lovely experience, easy to play so it might have been made with younger audiences in mind, or they could have just wanted to implement something new. Not everything stuck but I think it's solid.
I know I'm late to all of this, I prefer to get my games years after they've been a thing that way I can get them for a decent price, but since there's a community of active harvest Moon players in this subreddit I wanted to share. 😊
Been a player of Harvest Moon games since I was a small child, they have always held such a special space in my heart. This past Friday I proposed to my partner in the traditional fashion with a blue feather I handmade.
What is the best looking Harvest Moon/SoS game in your opinion?
Hey guys! I returning to the series and been playing HM cute non stop due to nostalgia!
I'm just wondering what is the best looking game in your opinion?
I gotta say that I love Save the Homeland aesthetics.
Thank you for your input!
Harvest moon Echoes of Teradea screenshots.
I don't know if this helps but here are some screenshots.
this game is beyond perfect!
I’ve been seeing a lot of comments and hype from Animal Parade fans lately, and honestly I don’t know why I missed out on it before. I’ve replayed a bunch of the DS Harvest Moon games so many times and wanted something new to play. Then I started Animal Parade and wow, it’s actually so addictive!
The storyline, main quests, side quests, maps, animals, activities, character designs, everything feels really well balanced. It’s not too hard, but not too easy either.
Now I’m totally in love with it and honestly think it’s one of the best games in the whole Harvest Moon series!
question about girl character
Would like to know if you could show me
the evidence of her name being “Pony”?
I’ve also seen that her name could be Gretta or Jill.
For the remake her name changed to “Maya” the evidence of this can be proved in Nintendo Direct 9.13.2022 trailer.
Farmers Market got a straight up nostalgia purchase from me today...
I have never seen these things in real life!!
Hey party people, I'm a retro game collector, I bought this harvest moon magical melody with slap watch maybe 12 years ago... I can't find any current values. Anyone have any idea on it?
It's in it's original packaging and seal.
edit 2: Amazon Link not proof it was sold by natsume.
i've always loved playing farm life sims, I grew up in new york city with little opportunity to be in nature. at some point I grew unsatisfied with replaying harvest moon, stardew valley, etc; the endless progress that didn't materially change my existence.... so i left it all behind to move to montana and here we are today! wanted to ask ya'll what would you grow if you picked up an abandoned farm? i've gone for peafowl, rabbits, and ducks– been growing lots of fruit while I prep new areas for growing, hoping to get a lot more lentils, berries and grapes soon but my patches are still small. anyways :) live that little life, it's possible!!
FOMT Studio v3.3.4 Finaly Here
FOMT Studio v3.3.4 - "The Impossibility Update" 🚀
Hi everyone! It’s been about two weeks, right? Well, I’ve been working non-stop on this new FOMT Studio update. I’ve mapped... a lot. Seriously, just for animations alone, there are over 2,000 entries now. On top of that, I’ve indexed emotes, portraits, and other technical minutiae. I also managed to locate the NPC taste and dialogue tables, giving them proper names for the first time.
For my fellow Spanish speakers: We finally have Full Ñ Support! I’ve re-engineered the font rendering to include the 'Ñ' and all accented vowels. HUD texts can now be auto-injected with a single "big red button." I’m still mapping some menu text pointers manually, but the repointing logic is rock solid.
Back to English: This update is my pride and joy. Beyond the massive (and honestly, hellish) ID mapping, we have—drumroll please—a brand new Graphics Editor. Think GBA-GE style, but with major upgrades like a tile aligner, broader image format support, and NPC palette tables integrated directly into the editor. Huge thanks to u/MelodyCrYstel; your work on graphics mapping is magnificent and saved me a massive headache.
I’ve also introduced a new 'Forerunner' theme in cyan tones. Honestly? I’m liking it more than the neon green one. Soon, I’ll share an MFoMT patch featuring a 'Debug Sock' menu for anyone who wants to test the game with all these animation and emote IDs mapped out.
⚙️ Technical Note: The Cilixes Architecture
This version marks the complete transition to the Cilixes Data Suite. We’ve moved away from legacy data folders to a modular, multi-tenant system that supports both FoMT and MFoMT with surgical precision using 16-byte header detection.
🔥 Why "The Impossibility Update"?
A few years ago, younger and with much less coding experience, I wanted to mod one of my favorite games: Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town. Back then, I hit a wall. Everyone told me the same thing: "Impossible." It was discouraging.
But "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic," and magic makes the impossible happen. That’s what this project is about: proving that "impossibility" isn't a barrier, but a goal to break through. We advance by using the legacy of those before us to reach further. I want to give a massive shoutout to StanHash and Andrey-Moura. They forged the foundation; I just refined the logic to make it human-readable.
Prometheus stole fire from the gods to give it to humanity. I reverse-engineered Natsume's engine to give it to you. Even if Nintendo tries to send a cease and desist, this project is public and open-source; nothing can stop it now. The torch is yours. You now hold the fire: will you just stand there watching it burn, or will you tame it to move heaven and earth? The choice is entirely yours.
🛠️ Future Roadmap & Bug Reporting:
- Bugs: If you find a crash, please open an Issue on GitHub and attach the console log. It helps me fix things much faster!
- What's next? I’ll be focusing on professional projects for a bit, but I’m planning to investigate if HM:DS and DS Cute can be integrated into this modular logic in the future.
- Pro-Tip: Always backup your ROM before hitting the "Big Red Button". Magic is powerful, but a backup is forever.
Enjoy the video—it’s just a small taste of what’s now possible.
Now Me and You we are the owners of the code Cant stop us.

What is the best way to play Trio of Towns?
I chose to do seedling mode for less stress given real life even though I am a veteren playing Harvest Moon. And want to marry Kasumi for this first playthrough. The controls seems getting used to since I have never played any games for 3DS before. I've read there is a lot to do even after completion. I actually ahve several DS HM games that I am continuing to play even after completion for 100%. And think I will do the same for 3oT. How is married life in this game? It would be nice if there was lot of immersion of dialogue even years into the game from wife and child.
How does Tree of Tranquility compare to the 2D games?
I actually now am able to play Wii games, which means I might soon play ToT and AP when I feel like it. Though I have only ever played 2D games or isometric. So just was wondering if there is any major difference in gameplay for ToT.
GBA FoMT-Mod Project Preview Nr.1 (Please read comment)
To keep expectations reasonable: The modifications of FoMT will be limited to sound, graphics and small text-corrections. But the theme might be obvious considering sprites and song used in this preview, so I hope fans of a specific game will get excited. =U.U=
Hi, all! I am unfortunately young (22) so I never got to play the original release of AWL back in its hayday, but I did get the remake and played through it. It's been a long time coming, though, since I originally got the game in the summer of 2023, and I only just finished it January of this year. I had some long droughts of not playing it which is a pretty common habit of mines with games, but I'm proud to say that I did complete it, and 100% at that. So I wanted to share my thoughts on it, cause I think this is one of my favorite experiences with a farming sim of all time, even above greats like Stardew.
Now of course my experience was just with the remake and not the original. I know the remake changes some things so my opinions may vary from the original's fans, but hopefully they'll still be in line. I may go back to the originals one day, though.
The game starts out really slow because money is slow to come. I just didn't have many lucrative options early on and on top of that, I only sold on Van days. It was arduous, but it really gave me the feel that I was starting off on a run down farm.
My main source of income was the animals, and I loved the system so much. I got into a routine everyday waking up early to take care of the animals and returning 12hrs later to repeat for the afternoon to maximize my relationship with them and my yield. Once I had the processing room I was especially able to make bank. I think in a second playthrough I could definitely be more efficient (sheep are the GOATs for making money), but I had fun regardless.
That being said, the coop was more trouble than it was worth to be honest. The eggs couldn't be processed, and duck eggs weren't even more valuable than regular chicken eggs. Also I could not for the life of me figure out how to consistently get golden eggs, so the birds didn't make me that much money. It was still a sizable income, but I probably could have spent that same time preparing more hybrid crops.
The hybrid crops were an absolute nightmare omg. It was fun planning when and where I was going to grow what, but having to make every single crop one by one with Vinnie takes forever.
For money making I chose crops 38 and 39. 38 grows from the Winter to the Spring, crop 39 grows from the summer to the autumn, so I could alternate their growth cycles. Additionally, I would only sell half of the yield, and keep the other half to make seeds for the next year so I wouldn't have to remake the seeds all over again with Vinnie. Idk if this is the most efficient way to make money with hybrids, but it was the best way of doing it to keep things simple and loop into itself.
I got my relationships maxed out pretty quickly in the first year by spamming flowers, eggs, and milk as gifts. That's a plus for me because managing relations in farming sims stresses me out lol, so I'm glad most of them were simple in this game. Except Garrett, who was almost never in town during a reasonable hour.
I personally found the dialogue to be a strong point of the game. It's very limited and you will get repeated lines a lot, but that only makes finding new lines of dialogue by meeting special conditions all the more valuable. I love how showing items to people, especially your family, can net you new reactions from them. I married Molly btw and I love her sm, she's so precious and deserves the world.
I honestly didn't interact with the child mechanics too much. Not that I didn't take care of my child, but I went into it blind and decided whatever my kid wants to do I'll let them and not influence them anyway, rather I'd prepare them to be the best they can. She ended up going down athletics due to being Molly's kid, so I made sure she was the best she could be.
The digsite is probably the weakest part of this game imo. It's pretty shallow and just boils down to spam A on the same spot once every year and hope you get lucky. Not to mention Carter and Flora constantly bumping into you in the early years. It was at least a good source of income and gifts early on.
I think by and far my favorite part of the game is how realistic the seasons, nature, and weather are are. Rain doesn't always last all day and can show up in bursts.f Spring doesn't have cherry blossoms all the way through, only for a little. Same with flowers, they're only there for a little while before the summer shows up. Late in the summer you can see the leaves start to turn for the autumn. Late in the autumn you can get snow even though its not winter yet. Winter isn't always snowy, and is often a cold and dead wasteland, and the snow can even carry into early spring. Coming from someone that lives on the East coast of the USA, this system was really refreshing to see, and this is the only game I've ever played to do something like this. It made the natural elements feel so much more alive.
That's my thoughts on the game! What did you think of it, I'd love to hear yours.
Tomodachi attempt at the sprite tree and harvest goddess
I’ve never been any good at art but I’m having so much fun at this game! I’ve been trying to recreate the sprite tree but as you can see idk how to best do the shape haha. I was pretty proud of my hand drawn flowers though (used the rose sticker for the base) I have Pete, muffy and witch princess in my game too but only muffy and harvest goddess have customized outfits right now (also working on making those better)
