Google makes me 2 factor login every day on my computers

I use 3 computers. Every day or two, I have to login and 2 factor login on all 3 devices.

I'm not closing the browsers.

I have default G Suite settings. I am the administrator.

This happens on 3 G Suite businesses I belong to, and on multiple devices.

How do I just stay logged in on my own devices?

Paid Google Workspace Account Tech Support Hounding me for an Upgrade

Paid Google Workspace customer here. Needed some tech help. The support personal then tried to upsell me. I’ve since received ongoing upselling emails from the tech support guy. I thought paying for a subscription was enough. I guess not.

Google Workspace

Hi everyone, I registered Workspace and sent my documents for verification. Everything went fine. I tried to log into the admin console, but it prompted me to choose a tariff plan and wouldn't let me through. Has anyone encountered this? I'd appreciate any help.

Folder / Files created by ex-employees disappeared when they left

Hi all,

My company uses G-Suite.

We have a main shared folder when we use to do our daily work, my team of 5 have access to read, edit the entire shared folder. We have both Win and Mac users, and some map it to their local drive, while some uses the Web.

Within the main shared folder - the levels are as follows:

  • Level 1 TEAM [this is created by me and shared with my team]
  • Level 2 Function 1 / Function 2 / Function 3 etc [Functions are like Marketing, HR etc]
  • Level 3 Project 1 / Project 2 / Project 3 [Projects are like client projects]
  • Level 4 Project specific files

The team normally creates and edits folders or files in Level 3 / Level 4.

2 of my team members left, and I started to realise I cannot access their folders or files that they personally created in Level 3 or 4. Anyone encountered this issue before?

I am scratching my brain, as it is literally >5 years of projects / raw files. We are not able to retrieve everything via email.. :(

Using google workspace as personal account

I'm thinking about using a googlw workspace business standard as a personal account.
there are some benefits like that you are in control of your own data, it's cheaper than a google ai pro plan, can buy additionals subscriptions, higher limits. but i don't know if in long term i would get issues. I wanted to hear opinions about this, i'm thinking about transferring my personal gmail into my workspace account.

I lost my reseller status and now Google is asking me to go via a distributor

Hi all,

I have been reselling Google Mail since it was Google Apps (before Google Workspace, GSuite, etc.) and became a reseller as soon as the plan was available.

Now it seems that, while my Partner Sales Console account is still active and I can manage existing clients, I can't add new accounts, nor I can buy new services (e.g. extra storage for existing clients). That's because I didn't apply for a new authorization a couple of years ago.

When trying to regain my reseller status, Google prompts me to reach out to a distributor, which I don't want to do (see Google Support's email below).

Has any one gone through the same process? Any thoughts or recommendations?

Many thanks!

Someone shared a folder/files with me that’s around 100GB in size, and I want to save/download it to my own Google Drive account without losing access later if the owner removes it.
What’s the best way to transfer or keep a permanent copy in my personal Drive?
Also, are there any storage or sharing limitations I should know about?

I’m using Windows, so any easy methods or tips would really help. Thanks in advance 🙏

I just downgraded Google Workspace Plus and genuinely cannot believe how predatory the flow feels. The normal billing screen only pushes “Upgrade,” the actual downgrade path is hidden under More, and even once you find it, Google only lets you downgrade one tier at a time, with no obvious explanation.

Exact steps:

Admin Console

→ Billing

→ Subscriptions

→ click your current Workspace plan

→ More

→ Downgrade

→ choose Business Standard

→ Flexible

→ Checkout.

Then repeat the whole thing again after completed, from Business Standard → More → Downgrade → Business Starter → Flexible → Checkout.

Hoenstly would feel better if Google just presented a screen that said "Ready for the downgrade Goose Chase?" and made users find 50 virtual breadcrumbs to unlock the correct billing page

About 10 years ago, someone in our non-profit organization started setting up Google for NonProfit. They were successful in getting the Google for NonProfit account and then activated Google Workspace. They had the only admin account for Google Workspace, which was upgraded to Google Workspace for NonProfits.

They never created any other users or admins. Then, they left the organization. We cannot get a hold of them, and there is a solid chance they have passed away. They left due to illness.

Now, we cannot use the account recovery tools as no one has any account in Google Workspace for our org.

We cannot follow any of the instructions on Google Workspace Help since they all require at least one user in Workspace OR the admin account (which we do not have).

We were able to gain admin access to Google NonProfit, but that is all.

I am wondering if anyone has any additional ideas on how we can proceed.

If there are other email options for non-profits, we are interested (non-Google). After spending one month on this problem with no support from Google, we are ready to quit.

I recently created a Google Workspace for my non-profit. I'm having trouble adding everyone because of phone verification.

I added a person, say Johnny@ngo.com
The person got an email and tried to sign in, but was asked to verify via phone. We tried multiple times but it kept saying that the provider of Johnny didn't allow the verification method. I then tried my own number, because I just wanted to get Johnny verified and then later change the phone number. That didn't work because I already used my phone number too often... It also didn't allow me to try other verification methods.

Now forward one week, I tried to get Johnny verified again. But I see the account is suspended for not following the Google terms of service. Support says this account is non-recoverable.

Support also says that if I delete Johnny@ngo.com I won't be able to make Johnny@ngo.com ever again. That would be really bad of course...

any suggestions for what I can do?

Looking at the Passwd.team Marketplace app for a small org since we’re already fully on Google Workspace and its model aligns with that, but I haven’t found any independent audits or pentest results for it.

For those who’ve evaluated similar tools:

Is that a hard no, or something you’d weigh against the architecture? It's the perfectly convenient tool, but I don't know if it should be trusted. Just trying to sanity-check the risk here.

I'm logged into three different email accounts on my phone: personal; side hustle; and work. I have calendars for all three. The problem is that they're all merged and the only way I can see individual calendars is to go through the hamburger menu and toggle on/off what I want to see.

My goal is to have them separated by email, so that when I switch from my personal to my work account, all I see is the work calendar.

Is this possible?

Just curious how other admins use this. We make it optional and have seen some instances where their meeting transcripts have gotten them into trouble. I like the idea of enabling it but can see where it could be more harmful than good.
