Custom design on adhesive vinyl

does anyone know how I would go about looking into printing my own design over top of an adhesive vinyl ? (removable) I want to print images over it so I can decorate my kpop lightstick. Any advice would help! I’m located in Canada but I was thinking I’d have to look on like Ali express for the custom printing? kinda lost 😫

Cricket won't save my project with my own images.

I went online and found some free images and converted them into SVG files. The cricut will save the project no problem if I use their images or if I have the same project with no images. But as soon as I add one of my uploaded images it won't save. It says check my internet connection but my internet connection is fine. What am I doing wrong here? They're really simple, black and white line drawing images. They're not complicated or anything. I'm new at all this and I was just trying to use some free images but apparently that's very difficult.

Cricut Design Space deactivated save feature

So cricut deactivated its save offline feature where you are able to access your designs as a png file. It sucks because i would use these as a mock up to show how the item would look once done. Don’t know what I’ll do now! Any ideas?

Design space didn't save my progress, can I still use what I already printed?

I went to work on some stickers I was making for an upcoming convention that is spent all day yesterday making and preparing only to find this morning that cricut didn't save any of my work.

I know cricut design space doesn't have an auto save for whatever reason so I know I was saving periodically and that it would give me a pop-up if I tried to close the application when changes were made but not saved. We'll it didn't give me a pop-up so I closed everything thinking I would be fine to come back in the morning and finish cutting everything, but that wasn't the case. Now I have 23 sheets of stickers printed ready to be cut, yet no file I can use for the print then cut. I tried looking up if my machine could still scan it and cut it properly since it has the guide lines and everything, but its saying that without the file with the EXACT sizing and placement that it won't work (I have a cricut joy xtra for context).

I'm just wondering if theres a way I can scan my printouts and put them back into the design space if it'll cut how I want or if I just have to waste all the supplies I used and cry about it later? Any advice would be super appreciated I just really don't want to waste all the materials I just bought for these.

Out of ideas for joy xtra calibration

I bought my first cricut machine yesterday and have spent all day trying to calibrate it with no luck. The machine is consistently cutting .25” above where it should be cutting.

I have tried:

- Multiple calibrations using the calibration sheet with the recommended printer settings

- Cutting images outside of the calibration sheet

- Different types of paper (cardstock and plain)

- Lights on and off

- Shifting the design down .25” in the design space

- Shifting the design down .25” on the mat

- I have ensured I have all the right materials

- I have watched videos, scrolled forums, and checked the cricut website

- I have uninstalled the app, cleared my cache, and reinstalled it

I’m not sure what else to do. .25” cut error makes this machine basically useless for what I need it for which is almost exclusively cut to print. I could make do with a few millimeters but this is a big cut error. I’m losing my mind.

The biggest mistake and the worse case scenario happened all at once...

Dear people of Wakanda,

I bought the Cricut maker 4 and after trying to make stickers with it for 12 hours the same day I got it, 8 hours the second day and 10 the 3rd day,

about 100 to 150 sheets of sticker paper, a roll of laminating vinyl and holo laminating vinyl that I lost cout as to how many sheets I used,

nothing ever worked no matter what setting I used (I did a lot of research btw),

no matter what type of paper I used, even their own materials where useless, the stupid machine would still drag the blade through everything and everything would have serrated edges,

after many hours and many many tears later (Yeah I cried out of anger A LOT)

I sent an email to their support, at 3AM in the morning, obviously angry, crying and frustrated,

Only for them to say that i had to chat with support after a 4 day wait for a response, and surprice surprice i was rold that once the machine is open they don't take any returns even if it's just to test the machine once, even if the machine is shit, all they can do is waste my time and THEN deem if it needs a warranty replacement, 😑

Explain to me how the hell would anybody know an unsuspected victime would know that the machine is shit if everyone online puts it into a pedestal and nobody seems to have this type of issued because only few people use it for what i need specifically, so i fell for it,

I had them make me go through making 1 sticker to prove their point which obviously didn't work, I was treated basically like i lied about everything even though i sent pictures of everything,

they promised to send me the premium blade within 10 days, and swore that it'll fix everything,

a month later it arrived but funny thing is after the 1st day and 12 hours and hours of angry crying,

I went on Amazon, used my Affirm and placed an order for the Siser juliet and let me tell you people please DO NOT BUY A CRICUT...

The Siser Juliet is almost perfect in every single way and there was barely anything I had to do, of course it has it's querks like any other machine specially because is a bit more of a hands on machine but once you set it you can forget it,

it worked like a charm from the get go, specially because it has a test button so you know how the cut is going to come out before you sacrifice 100 to 150 sheets of stickers, you can pause the work and resume it, you could cut directly from the machine itself, it has a screen on it where you can save presets,

It has a camera that automatically detects what you're cutting, you can adjust speed before and while you cut, same thing with depth/strength,

I regert the cricut like nobody's bussiness and now I dont know what to do with it, is just sitting in a box unused and I don't ever want to look at it, everytime I looked at it I started tearing out of anger feeling like a failure because I couldn't make it work, I shouldn't feel like this,

I purchased the machine to start my sticker bussiness and to be honest Cricut is not it Siser is the way to go, also the pay wall is not that crazy in comparison, the Leonardo design studio it is a bit different from the cricut's but I feel like is more intuitive, technically I had to learn everything from scratch because is different but once I got the hange of it I was unstoppable and it even took me less time to do even 1 sheet in comparison to the Maker 4, and out of 50 sheets I probably only wasted 3 and that was 100% human error due to using thicker vinyl after SOMEBODY OVER HERE, wasted all my regular vinyl...

Please I'm begging you don't make the same mistake I did and just buy the Siser Juliet from the get go, I promise it'll make your life easier instead of a living hell...

Gift for My Boss

I've never posted photos on Reddit, I didn't realize I was doing it wrong!

What I was trying to say...

My boss' son wrote this on our whiteboard years ago and no one can bring themselves to erase it. His birthday is coming up and I really wanted to do something special for him so I took the picture, traced it in Procreate on my iPad, save it as a .png, and now I'm not sure what to make.

I want to make something myself.
I don't want to destroy the whiteboard.
I don't want to just print it and frame it.

Does anyone have any ideas about what I can make?

Embossing with scoring wheel not working?

Hi yall! I have a Cricut Maker 3 and I’ve been trying to use the score function with the single scoring wheel, double scoring wheel, and the scoring stylus. The scoring stylus just rips my cardstock (not pictured), and the scoring wheels make my design look so messy. I followed a tutorial exactly and I cannot figure out why lines are overlapping and it looks so incredibly messy and not like the design? Any tips would be greatly appreciated, I’m getting very frustrated lol.

Best approach for waterproof lunch box stickers?

Hey everyone,

I’m still pretty new to the Cricut world and could use some advice on my first "real" project. I want to make custom stickers for my child’s lunch box. The design is going to be a rainbow with their name on it—so nothing too crazy or complex.

However, I’m a bit unsure about the best way to tackle this. How do you usually decide which material is best for a specific job?

My first thought was using permanent vinyl since it needs to be waterproof (and ideally dishwasher-safe). But for a rainbow, I’d have to layer several different colors.

Then I thought about doing Print then Cut stickers instead. I need to order materials for both options anyway, so I’m still flexible.

I found some waterproof stickers with a holographic effect that look amazing, and I know my kid would love them. From what I understand, these are laminate films that you apply over the printed sticker.

If I go this route, does the sticker paper itself have to be waterproof, or is it enough to use regular sticker paper and seal it with the holo laminate?

I'd appreciate any tips or experiences you can share! Thanks in advance!

Roller bar popped out of motor mechanism

The left side of the roller bar on my explore 3 has come out and I can't get into the plastic body on the left side to see if I can fix it, are there any tricks to getting it open or fixing it without having to disassemble the machine?

Ragged edges on my laminated stickers?

Hi! I have the cricut explore 3 and I use laminated holo sticker sheets from AliExpress to put on top of glossy sticker sheet material from Ali also.I have used medium, light and heavy cardstock settings, waterproof sticker sheet (white) settings, and no luck. I laminate them 2 times through a laminator. Blade is new and may is new. I’m not sure what to do at this point? Any help appreciated!
