I been thinking this guy is off but ever since he started hanging out with that f*t Viet culture vulture wannabe fellow TikTok food influencer @vinceeats_ it’s like both of them being annoying by themselves became nuclear when they make content together and it shows every single time.

Like I just know they both use the n word I would bet money on it 🫪

She is good at getting her infos and facts and setting them straight. But the way she tells the cases is really off putting.
She makes this narrative voices while telling about people's statements and their roles to the victim/case. True crime is a sensitive topic in general, and its really important to carry them out properly if you're gonna do so. Its supposed to be informational but when you put on a VOICE to say what the victim said or victim's mother said, it becomes a fucking narration or a story or something.I get it, she's trying to show us the victim's side and show us the turmoil they went through there's a normal way to do this too. You don't have to put on a voice to do so. Not to mention this also kind of puts on a false narrative. And she makes up how the victim felt or did, which is mainly the issue for me. She sensualizes every details and tells others' stories as her own. Its like she writing a novel about different characters.
She treats cases like they're gossip and tales. Also talking to her husband like she's telling him a story or something is so bothersome. She doesnt inform you about cases, she tells you a sad tale about people and turns everything into a sensual story.
She talks about individuals like she knows them personally and it seems so performative.
Her videos are annoying to watch because of this too. It feels like you're listening to this sorrowful tale instead of a tragic event someone went through.

Edit: I went through some other posts and it turns out shes not always factually correct either.

In summary, Kuang criticizes colonialism in her previous works a lot, so it’s come out that she writes an Israeli character in a positive light in her new book according to ppl who got an ARC. However, I would prefer to read the work myself before jumping to accusing her of normalizing israel or allowing their soft power in our literature.

The ABG/ABB maxxing saga: Cringy SF "influencers" (Katie Chen, Julie Chen, & Grace Ling) get dragged for coopting the term "ABG" (and also not fitting the aesthetic) for their ABG/ABB maxxing event. After the backlash, they then pivot to saying it was all just to ragebait “Twitter snowflake NPCs”

For those OOTL: https://www.kron4.com/news/technology-ai/san-francisco-tech-workers-to-host-abg-abb-maxxing-event/

These tech girlies are so extremely unselfaware. At first I thought it was some weird humiliation ritual, but they keep digging lower and lower even days after the event happened.  I get they want to be associated with the hotness and desirability of “ABGs”, but if I had the internet clowning on me for being “chopped”, I would pack it up. Like what are y’all trying to do?? Then pivoting to “it was all just rarebait” isn’t gonna somehow save the situation as if they were all in on the joke from the start (they weren't).

Their reaction to being told they're coopting the term "ABG" as East Asians is also interesting. People with valid criticisms = snowflake SJWs 🙄 It's giving culture vulture. Though I guess that's par for the course for SF tech workers.

Also... the white guys just inserting themselves to the "ABG" event and hovering around like flies. Like why are you there?!?!!? It’s so nasty.

Ever since getting married, Miki has been milking clickbaits about pregnancy.

It’s so disappointing and annoying that she does this, especially when Kevin and Miki are both in the healthcare system (well, at least Kevin is). There’s couples that are experiencing infertility, miscarriages, and difficulties with getting pregnant, and this is so insensitive. All for clicks.

As healthcare workers, they should know better not to joke about this kind of stuff. They know what they’re doing, and they need to grow up.

This post might might come off as controversial but I don't give a damn

Idk if this is just me being chronically online, but it feels like whenever an Asian American creator/personality messes up, the reaction is way more intense and long lasting compared to others.

Like we’ve seen it with Evelyn, the whole Rick from Yox/Ed situation, and a bunch of smaller creators too. People will dig up everything from years ago, demand accountability (fair), but then just never learn to let it go? It turns into this ongoing moral audit where nothing is ever “enough.”

Meanwhile, I’ll see non-Asian creators do equally questionable or worse things and somehow the narrative shifts to “growth,” “learning,” or it just quietly disappears after a week. It's pretty laughable.

I’m not saying people shouldn’t be called out. Obviously if someone does something messed up, it should be addressed. But it feels like for Asian Americans, there’s this extra layer of hyper scrutiny and less room for nuance. Not to mention, I feel like there's basically zero path to redemption. I see this same pattern being exhibited by people in the kpop community.

Almost like people expect perfection and once you fall short, you’re permanently labeled. Give me a break.

Maybe part of it is that Asian Americans are still fighting for visibility so when someone messes up it feels like they’re “representing” the whole group? Or maybe the audience itself is harsher? No idea.

when i say i was just disgusted whilst watching this video, i mean it. i truly, really freaking mean it.

we are all very much aware of the d4vd case and all the extreme heinous acts this satan has done.

for context, if you dont know, to keep it short, d4vd groomed, raped, murdered and MUTILATED A CHILD.

its one thing to be using this situation for content. you profit off of this video, cash some money and enjoy the benefits. but to not only just cook but SMILE, DANCE AND MAKE JOKES WHILST DETAILING THIS IS AWFULLY DISGUSTING. im truly just… wow. talking about a girl’s life been stolen in a such light-hearted “isnt this so insane guys !! 😱😱😱” manner, and putting memes and funny reaction images in your video is just too much i truly cant say this in words.

whats kinda crazy is that this is a grown man. a man with a conscious. a man who should have matured. its also kind of funny that this video popped up for me. im 13 and today, i was just talking about the whole d4vd situation with my close friend. i can assure you that our conversation didnt revolve around us giggling, joking or doing the scuba.

we talked for an hour straight abt how bad we feel about the whole thing. we shared how bad it is for people to make jokes about it too online as it desensitizes it. like im baffled. celeste was around our age and was failed by all the adults around her when she was ten. TEN. there’s nothing funny about that.

and to think stephanie soo gets flamed for doing true crime (i agree she’s a little insensitive too). he is a cooking content creator who literally has zero correlation with the situation yet still thinks its okay to make fun of this whole ordeal. pathetic.

i have nothing more to say about this.

Does anyone remember this era of influencers where Snow (the filter app) was popular and there was an era of time where having that “asian american” vibe was sort of the thing for a while? I was pretty young during this era but looking back now, I sort of miss it 😭

I added some iconic pics that were in everyone’s pinterest board and also what their feeds were like during 2017/2018 time.

after he left to vietnam, the last 2 people he dated are meeting up to make content together... they made a reel lipsyncing to a song that went "stupid boy, you keep on begging but i won't let you in, you keep on crying but i know what you did, i'll never let you back in"

girl you might've been hurt by a guy you dated, but you're pushing 30...

So i recently came across this video of bodega kat smoking every brand of cigarettes in china i liked that video and thought she was a new YouTuber and it turns out she's been a content creator for so long? Can someone who knows her please tell me a bit about her story like why the sudden channel change because she seems very different in her new channel than the old one

She said the quiet part out loud. This pale clown really said this and thought it made her look sympathetic. She worships white people so she can be one of the “good ones” and earn their protection.

End of clip cut off but read the subtitles!! Also fuck you Mimi white supremacist bootlicker

Might get downvoted. I don’t follow Weylie anymore like I used to but everytime I come across their videos, it still gets me thinking how on Earth are they still together? Wah gives me the vibes that he’s just not that into her as much as she is. They’ve been together for too long and are just stagnant with no plans of marriage in sight?

Jun Yuh give major grifter vibes

One of my friends been attending his webinars and events and I feel like he gives me major grifter vibes. Seems likes he’s trying to profit off the popularity of people wanting to quit their 9-5 and then to influencing. Previously he used to sell expensive e-books teaching people how to study, and was a study influencer.

If anyone has any tea on him lmk.

Singaporean influencer (@olliechinny) has gone viral for saying she finally understands what it means to be a minority after living in Switzerland for 7 years

https://preview.redd.it/9t3s1321frzg1.png?width=896&format=png&auto=webp&s=fcb295372b026d5d445f6eae4c8e3d6d06caf175

don't know if this has escaped containment outside of singapore, but an influencer went viral a couple days ago after she made a tone deaf post about how she realized racism was a thing after she moved to switzerland even though racism is a really big issue in singapore already (and she would have known this had she actually interacted with people outside her race).

for context!! chinese singaporeans are the racial majority in singapore but the whole point of the country is that it's diverse, with prominent indigenous(!!) malay and indian communities that unfortunately face a lot of discrimination, colorism, and racism regularly by the chinese majority.
