Walmart Terimanted My New Seller Account After 3 Weeks With No Clear Reason

My Walmart Marketplace account was terminated today under “Trust & Safety” after only about 3 weeks of selling and honestly I still don’t understand why.

They gave me no specific reason at all besides a generic “Trust & Safety” message and said appeals would not be accepted.

The strange part is my metrics were actually very good and there were no major issues on the account. I’m a real business with real inventory and legitimate operations, so this was honestly shocking and very discouraging as a new seller.

After researching online, I found multiple posts from people saying new accounts with rapidly growing sales sometimes get automatically flagged by Walmart’s systems.

Has this happened to anyone else here? Did anyone manage to get their account reinstated after verification or manual review?

Walmart Buybox

Walmart don't give me buybox in any of my listed items even if im the best option. why can this happen? usually, if there is a investigation for the account, it gets you out of the list for the item. im on the list, but Walmart doesn't give me the buybox even my metrics and other parameters are good.

Appeal pending for 13 days - Significant funds held - Any way to expedite?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some advice or experiences regarding a Walmart Seller account suspension and the subsequent appeal process.

Our account was suspended recently, and we submitted our appeal 13 days ago. Since then, we haven't received any response or update from the Trust & Safety team. We have a significant amount of funds currently held in the account, which is starting to impact our cash flow and operations.

We’ve heard that opening a new appeal can reset the clock or cause further delays, so we haven’t submitted a second one. However, the silence is concerning.

  • Current Status: Under Review / Pending.
  • Time since appeal: 13 days.
  • Actions taken: Sent one follow-up message via the existing case log.

Has anyone dealt with a similar delay recently? Is 13+ days normal for Walmart right now, or should I be trying to reach out through other channels like LinkedIn or specific support emails? Also, does anyone know if there's a way to at least get a timeline for the fund release?

Any insights or tips on how to get a human to look at the case would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Need expert guidance regarding Walmart WFS reimbursement claims.

Need expert guidance regarding Walmart WFS reimbursement claims.

I’m currently working with Walmart WFS and sourcing products from retailers like Target, Costco, and Amazon. The issue is that many products in my shipment plans are showing as lost or not live for 45+ days.

When I open reimbursement cases with Walmart support, they ask for proof of purchase/invoices. I only have retailer receipts/slips.

My concern is:

- If I submit retailer receipts from stores like Target, Costco, or Amazon, can this cause account suspension or termination?

- If retailer slips are not acceptable, then how can reimbursement payments be claimed for lost inventory?

Would appreciate advice from experienced Walmart sellers or WFS experts who have dealt with similar situations.

Thank you.

Yes more return BS

We received 30 returns in April alone. The usual for Walmart customers…people won’t sign for orders because they only wanted to steal them anyway, no longer wanted (not so bad I understand this occasionally), defective (always a complete lie). Of course the used, half returned, not complete, theft by the customer where Walmart only wants to give 20%.

I actually selected “return is different from the original item”. Because they did not return the same F’in item. I did not send out a used, dirty, pos of an item but I certainly got something like that back. I absolutely did not receive the item I sent out and/or the same can be said for “I did not receive this return”. Walmart changed the dispute to “un-sellable” and gave me only 20%.

Who takes a picture of a random item or some garbage and sends that to Walmart stating that’s what was returned so you can get the full refund?

I thought I read in here someone said they use the “I did not receive this return” and that always works for them. It seems like it doesn’t matter, it’s always 20% no matter what I select as the reason.

Walmart Marketplace Fund Withholding – "Not Appealable" & Section 5 Allegations. Looking for success stories in overturning this.

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for insights from sellers who have dealt with a specific, high-stakes suspension on Walmart Marketplace.

The Situation: Our account was recently flagged for "fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activity" under Section 5 of the Retailer Agreement. The notice states that our balance is being permanently withheld and—crucially—that this decision is "not appealable."

The Context:

  • We operate with full transparency and this came with zero prior warnings or policy violations.
  • The withheld funds are substantial enough to impact our business operations significantly.

My Questions:

  1. For those who received the "non-appealable" tag, did you manage to get a secondary manual review through disputeresolution@walmart.com or other internal channels?
  2. Has anyone successfully used a "Demand Letter" or a formal legal notice to get the payments team to release funds?
  3. I'm specifically looking for experiences from people who have navigated the Section 5 hurdle. Please no "reinstatement services" in the DMs—I'm looking for legitimate advice or legal precedents.

Thanks!

Walmart WI+WFS cost breakdown

We are a Chinese automotive accessories (e.g. power inverters) factory. Walmart has been a major B2B customer of ours for years. Recently, they been strongly recommending us to start selling on Walmart Marketplace. Our company is now assessing the cost of using Walmart WI+WFS vs taking care of the whole shipping/storage on our own which is the way we always do it(we have a US warehouse). Since I can't find any WI cost breakdown on websites, which apparently is only available when we're registered, we do want to know a realistic range of the cost, or has anybody encountered similar problems and can give us some advice? Thank you!

What's the best action after receiving this Trademark claim?

Hi,

I just received this email because there was a trademarked word in the product listing. I unknowingly copied and pasted the description from the website that I bought this product from and it contained this trademarked word. The trademark owner reported to Walmart and the listing was removed. The product doesn't worth anything. Hence I don't care about the listing being removed. Fortunately Walmart gave a warning for the first offense (see the text in red rectangle) instead of suspending the account (like Amazon does even for the first time). I'm still pretty new to selling on Walmart and have these questions:

(1) Is there a way to remove this negative point from my seller account? I could show Walmart my stupidity from copying the product description (that contained the trademarked word) from where I bought it from.

(2) How to prevent this from happening again in the future? Is there a way to run the texts through USPTO to make sure that there is no trademarked words in the text?

(3) Does Walmart have a 6 month rule like Amazon does (Amazon reset any IP complaint accumulation every 6 months)? I'm so afraid of getting my account suspended if another IP problem arises.

Please advise. Thank you.

Walmart wrongful linked account termination

Hi my account was wrongfully terminated for trust and safety linked account partner fraud on 17th Feb. I never owned a second account maybe it happened because of public internet I accidentally connected few days back before termination. Now I talked to a support agent on Walmart he told me partner fraud terminations usually don’t get final payout, I wanted to confirm is that true? I will be filing a case against Walmart because they are scamming 100s of people and their termination policy is cooked. They say we can terminate you anytime with any reason and keep your funds as well. This isn’t a business policy this is trash. I have been requesting a manual review since then and no help till now. Did anyone got his funds back after linked account termination? I have $6k stuck and my card is cooked 😬

Suspended

My account has received a 7 Day Suspension due to the number of items in violation of Walmart Prohibited Products Policy. I do have a few items in my catalog with the Error status. Those are not prohibited in any way, it’s just the algorithm blocked it. I tried to appeal to no avail. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you!

Received this message today:

Your Marketplace Retailer Agreement has been terminated.

Reason

Trust & Safety

Your seller account and product listings were deactivated on May 4, 2026.

Please note that no appeals will be accepted for this termination.

Account Balance

If you are eligible to receive a final payout, it will be released after refunds & chargebacks subside, around 180 days following your termination. If we determine that your account has been used to engage in fraud, illegal activity or repeated violations of the Seller Policies, your final payouts may be permanently withheld by Walmart pursuant to Section 5 of the Seller Agreement.

For details go to Payments

No option to appeal is insanity. We have thousands of units in WFS currently. Does anyone know who we can contact for any help with this?

A buyer purchased 4x of an item, we shipped it to her. few weeks later she went in store to return the items and for some strange reason the Walmart employee decided to ship it to us in four different FedEx shipments each one in oversize box!
Walmart is charging us almost $30 for these four return labels that could have been done in one of these huge boxes for $7.
Seller support is absolutely useless and return disputes are automatically rejected (Walmart doesn’t cover return cost)
Anyone experience that and was able to get some reimbursement?

After many years selling on this horrible marketplace, Walmart can still surprise me with new ways to screw their 3P sellers.

Fluctuating Sales

Hi guys, I was curious if you guys also see fluctuating sales week to week?

For example I see we are down 25% yesterday compared to last Saturday.

Seems like today so far will go down 20-25% compared to last week as well.

(Note that all other variables max +-2% from our side inventory levels etc)

Do you guys also see patterns like this?

Has anyone successfully connected a Walmart Marketplace Wallet to a JP Morgan Chase business account? Because this has become one of the most ridiculous support experiences I’ve ever dealt with.

We’ve been in ecommerce for 20 years. We sell successfully on Amazon and other platforms. We are not new sellers.

We’ve now been trying for FOUR MONTHS to connect our Walmart Wallet to our business JP Morgan account and it still does not work.

We have probably spoken to 15 different Walmart support reps at this point and nobody can actually explain what the issue is or fix it. Every response feels scripted:
• “Please wait 24–48 hours”
• “We escalated the case”
• “Please reupload documents”
• “Engineering is reviewing”
• then complete silence

Meanwhile, we are actively selling.

We have:
• verified EIN
• verified business
• established JP Morgan business account
• uploaded voided checks and bank letters multiple times
• confirmed ACH is enabled
• confirmed all business info matches

Still nothing.

The most frustrating part is nobody at Walmart seems to actually own the Wallet/payment side. Every department points to another department.

At this point I honestly want to know:

  1. Has anyone actually gotten this resolved?
  2. Is there a direct escalation path to Wallet/Payments engineering?
  3. Is this a known issue specifically with Chase business accounts?
  4. Did anyone have to open a completely new seller account to fix it?

It’s crazy that a company the size of Walmart Marketplace makes it this hard to simply connect a legitimate business bank account.

Would appreciate any real advice from sellers who’ve gone through this.

Who designed Walmart’s seller system?

I accidentally entered the wrong tracking number. Since then, Walmart Performance Department keeps sending me emails every day asking the carrier to scan the package. However, when I contacted customer service to correct the tracking number, Walmart’s system does not allow any changes.

It is very obvious that this is a problem with Walmart’s platform and system limitations. Instead of fixing the system issue, Walmart continues sending endless notices to sellers.

The package was already delivered two months ago, yet I am still receiving these notices every day.
