***update THIS EMAIL IS FALSE, I DID NOT IGNORE THEM. I have all the screenshots between us!! Read the entire post please!!.***
I am dealing with what looks like a mix of auto fraud, a yo‑yo sale, and harassment from a dealer!! I’m a disabled individual, my resources are limited; I’m hoping for advice, experiences, or lawyer recommendations. Sorry for the long post!!
Here’s the situation:
I went to the VW dealership with two individuals, I had my own financing already approved. I had a lender, terms, and everything ready.
The dealership told me VW Credit would give me better terms. They said I “qualified” and that VW financing was approved. This is the ONLY reason I agreed to switch lenders and take possession of my car.
I had a trade in, they advertised an “underwater” sale. They told me they’d give me $15k (this is low end value) in trade, verbally, on the deal sheets, etc. Signed contract of sale, left with vehicle on May 8th. I didn’t hear much from them until last Friday.
Out of nowhere, they told me I didn’t qualify, that I needed to come in and sign a new contract.
They then said they were going to “report the car as stolen” if I didn’t come in immediately. Multiple employees contacted me, demanding I “drop off the keys.”
I woke up today and my car was gone. My trade-in is still in their possession. They removed the vehicle from my possession without notice. No default. No right‑to‑cure. No advance notice, just threats.
They sent a “notice” after I contacted the police, AFTER taking it.
I have screenshots of the threats, the pressure, the contradictions, and their written admissions. PLUS TWO WITNESSES who were present the entire transaction.
I’m disabled, and losing my transportation caused me to miss a medical appt this morning. I have kids. They didn’t even bother to return my trade, saying I need to come pick it up!
From what I’ve researched, this violates multiple Utah laws. Yes, I’ve already filed with Consumer Protection, with MVED and the AG, but I need:
• Utah lawyer recommendations (auto fraud / consumer protection)
• Anyone who’s dealt with this dealership
• Anyone who’s fought a wrongful repossession or yo‑yo sale in Utah
• Any advice on next steps
I have screenshots, emails, and documentation of everything.
Any help is appreciated. Urgent. Pic is of email from customer care, full of blatant lies. Please help.

Nurses at the U - what’s your hourly rate at now and how many years of experience do you have? Looking to get an idea of what to expect transferring hospital systems. Thanks!!
Came through and saw a ton of cops. What's the point? Anybody know?

Hi! I’m doing exactly as the title suggests. Besides for the national parks, are there must see or do things along this way? Off the beaten path suggestions are welcomed!
I recently passed through Central Utah and decided to stop in to see progress on a few geothermal projects.
Cape Station: Construction on the first 3 units seems to be wrapping up and work on phase 2 is moving quickly. 2 drills are up at 2 different sites, and the beginnings of power plant equipment have begun to appear.
The Cove Fort Power Plant: Ormat seems to be just about wrapped up with an upgrade to the existing units which will allow an additional 7 MW of production. Work should begin soon on an additional unit which will add 20MW to the site.
Blundell Power Plant: The plant appears to be receiving maintenance with work underway on both units.
Rodatherm: I was unable to get a picture as it started raining heavily, but a large drill is onsite and working at the Rodatherm test project.
I'm curious, has anyone here been to/sent their kid to Camp Tuttle up in Brighton? Just heard of it and I'm really curious and thinking about going but I can't find any reviews or anything online. Those of you who have gone, how was it?
I have had two turbinate reductions, and after each one I felt like I couldn't breathe and still cannot feel air passing through my nose. I am trying to speak with an ENT who could possibly help me or at least take my concerns seriously. I recently also had nasal valve surgery because a different surgeon thought that was the issue; however, my symptoms remain the same as before the valve surgery. The nurse I saw post op said it's possible I might have Empty Nose Syndrome however it's not possible since I didn't have my turbinates completely removed. However even with some turbinate reduction from the medical studies I have read empty nose syndrome can occur. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated as I am feeling dismissed.
I know Utah is not a renter friendly state but from what I have researched I do have some rights regarding my deposit.
I moved out over 30 days ago and the property management company - 4 Corners Homes - has not been responding to me when I reach out inquiring about the return of my deposit. I am in their automated death loop with their texting platform and they have since removed my account from the rental app. They haven't contacted me informing me if they were withholding any deposit amount or that I wasn't getting it back at all. Which would be absurd given all the issues that home had.
This property management company is absolutely the worst! I've had issues with them from day 1. The house was not cleaned before we moved in but they had all these crazy requests from us upon move out. One of the bathrooms was unusable for 2 months due to a toilet leaking (this issue started with the previous owner)! It took them more than 2 weeks to even get someone to respond to our maintenance request. Then they tore up the floor leaving black mold exposed until they came back and finally fixed it weeks later.
I am no legal expert and I have tried doing some research but I've got to have some rights. At least when it comes to getting my deposit back. Anyone have any advice or have a similar experience? Is there a way to get them to respond to me without paying legal fees first? I don't want to lose anymore money...
It's been a crazy year for Utah's immigration court.
A new judge could speed things up for immigrants, which could be good or bad news.
Oddly specific, I know, but I'm writing a character who has a big house (not a mansion, I think..) in Utah, and I have no idea what the layout would actually look like for a building built in the 1950s. Google doesn't help me much, or at all when I try to find a house with multiple floors, so this was the next best place I could go. Can anyone help?
