I ordered food from Illegal Pete’s through UberEats for pickup. When I got there, after the uber app said my food was ready, it was not ready and I waited another ~10 minutes. Not a big deal.
But then I get the receipt and there’s a $9.30 “third party” charge. I ask what the hell is this? Illegal Pete’s tells me it’s uber.
There was no mention from uber that I’d be charged $9.30 to put in an order through their app. Hell, when I got to the restaurant there was no line, so I could have just ordered in-person.
So I try to contact uber but there is no customer service number!! So I message chat with a presumed bot on their app and got nowhere. Uber’s chat bot didn’t answer any of my questions and didn’t respond appropriately to any of my concerns. I was left eating a $9.30 charge. Keep in mind, while in the app putting in the order it was highlighting it was a free service to put in the order since I wasn’t having it delivered. If they highlighted there charge anywhere I wouldn’t have used their “service.”
Anyone else experience something like this?
All I wanted and ordered was 2 double hamburgers but UberOne charges fees especially if you don’t place a large order so I got chicken nuggets BOGO and fries too. Still paid a delivery fee with UberOne. They deliver this nasty ass cheese I hate it on my burgers and said they’d refund me one burger. WTF?!?!
I recently placed an order which totaled to $23.97 including the tip. I have taken screenshots of both the order and tip just so I have proof. As expected a hold of $23.97 was placed on my account however ubereats went ahead and changed it to $23.98 on their own. This has happened more than once unfortunately.
When this happens to millions of customers, that leads to thousands of dollars that are unaccounted for and many times it goes unnoticed by consumers since it's so small.
So I just ordered some food and they found a driver to pick it up. He was at the spot to pick up my food which is about 8min away from my house. It than jumped to 20+ minutes because they gave me a new driver much further away. And then a few minutes later it jumped to 30+ because they gave me another driver that was even further away. What is the reason for that?
We are charged bag fees on our Aldi deliveries..is this normal.
About $34/hr for the week. The quest was +$100 for every 10 orders, so I did exactly 20 for an extra $200. Mind you I would’ve made like $12.50/hr without the quest, or $5.25/hr without the quest AND tips🙄. Now they’re giving out these bs quests with reject limits so I can’t just cherry pick the shortest trips, smh.
They want me to avoid distracted driving yet they send a million offers I don’t want while I’m in the middle of trying to deliver the 1/100 offer that was worth taking. I’ll literally be trying to find the house and they keep sending offers which zoom the map out on the GPS.
Is there any way to turn off the new order sound besides turning the volume off? I’ve tried everything that I’ve seen online and nothing works

I was speaking with an UberEats support agent, and was surprised when I was informed that apparently you can’t easily switch between car and bicycle delivery modes, and (according to him) cannot have one than one active Uber Driver account.
Is this true? And if not, can I do this using one account? Or would I have to set up two different accounts?
I verified both my account and card and it still wouldn’t place the order.
So I ubered some groceries to a friend and had a 30% off $30+ coupon that I used, and my total was $38.45. I go later and see that they have charged me $45.64 instead. There’s the $38.45 charge on my card that’s pending, and the 45 one went through. I’m annoyed because I would have not bought as much without the coupon, and my receipt after the fact does not show the discount I had when I placed the order.
I know it’s not a lot on money, but I’d like to be charged what I actually thought I was paying, not $9 extra. The help forum was not useful, because there’s no “I was charged too much section” and they don’t see to have a phone number. Any advice would be helpful!!
One of my dishes had a staple in it so I contacted uber eats to refund the dish. Not only did they not reimburse me for the dish, but because the dish was already free from a promotion, they charged me even more after the refund. What a joke of a company

I ordered Taco Bell earlier, $7 tip for a 3 mile trip, it was 4 items Crunchwrap, nacho fries, Diet Pepsi and fire sauce, I got a driver 1 minute after ordering, awesome, wasn’t really tracking him and continued watching tv, 5 mins later I see the app is looking for a new driver, ok, maybe the 1st got a better offer with a higher pay, not starving. So I’m fine, decided to watch the 2nd one, arrives to Taco Bell, cancels after a minute, same with the 3rd driver, after I get a 4th driver I text him if he was willing to ask an employee if my order got picked up bc he was my 4th driver and I was pretty sure the 1st dude took it, driver gets to the store and confirms that someone took it but he got them to remake it, I’ve been inside the Taco Bell, the online orders are behind the counter and need an employee to hand it over to you so it’s not like some rando was easily able to grab it, I know other people have had experiences with their food being stolen and like I need to know! How do they not feel guilty! I redownload the Taco Bell app to see how much it would cost to order directly and it’s only $15.23 post taxes, literally $11 cheaper than I paid ($26.35 post taxes/fees an tip)

So, I’d ordered some Greggs this morning to my house.
The uber app kept switching drivers, I eventually got my order, but everything that should have been hot was freezing cold e.g coffees. I then saw on my uber app that there was a “second part” to my order on the way… so I phoned up the shop and was asking why there was more, even though I’d already received my order (I did let the guy on the phone know that the coffees and stuff where Cold). He said that he’d made the order and the driver it was supposed to be picked up by canceled on it and he then had to make another one after it took half an hour to get a new driver. I asked him if I’d get a second order or if that was just a glitch, he said I’d get another order due to the items being cold and a new one has already been made.
I was following the driver along the app, all the way to my house and I was waiting for the doorbell to ring, it never did, so then I looked outside and saw my driver driving away with the second order of food in his passenger seat. I was quite confused as that was my second order that I was told I’d receive as it was already made and my first order was cold.
I’ve ended up having to contact uber support and I’ve just asked for a refund on all of the cold items in the order as I didn’t get any replacement when I was promised a replacement.
I’m not too happy with how this has gone, I would have much rather had my second order as promised, but eh oh, what can you do!

They still think my food might show up
They tell me they “can’t do anything due to system restrictions”
They close chats mid-conversation
I get ~$4 for my troubles
Eventually the system cancels it on its own.
And then… they ask me to rate the experience 5 stars.
10/10 would argue with customer support about whether physics applies to cars with blown tires again.
