Uber Eats told me to contact my driver… whose tire blew out on the highway

**I have screen shots of all of the chats from customer support

Driver: “Hey my tire blew out, I can’t deliver your food.”

Me: “No worries, hope you’re okay.”

Uber: “Your order will be canceled.”

Also Uber: does not cancel the order

Support: “Your food is on the way.”

Me: “The driver literally cannot drive.”

Support: “Please contact the driver to cancel it.”

Ah yes, let me just have the stranded driver on the side of the highway handle Uber’s backend logistics.

After an hour of explaining the same thing to multiple agents:

They still think my food might show up

They tell me they “can’t do anything due to system restrictions”

They close chats mid-conversation

I get ~$4 for my troubles

Eventually the system cancels it on its own.

10/10 would argue with customer support about whether physics applies to cars with blown tires again.
