I was offered a deal for $150 for a "TurboTax professional" to do my taxes, if my taxes are submitted by the 7th.

I signed up a week ago, the person confirmed they had all they documents they needed and then... nothing. They haven't responded to messages, haven't done my god damn taxes.

If they don't submit them tomorrow then I don't get the deal and I'm going to have to fight them on the price.

I called TurboTax and they basically said they'll message her and she has 48 hours to respond. WTF kind of business is this, where your employees don't need to respond for 48 hours?? Once again, TurboTax is an absolute scam, just tricking you into paying more.

honestly TurboTax you're making my blood boil, I won't ever be using them again

hate TurboTax. That charged me for $129 assist deluxe when I didn’t use that. Called to get a refund but they said I had to wait a couple days cuz I just submitted it?

Why does my NJ state refund go lower after selecting my status as a military veteran? I'm sure I would have been upset if I selected this option and NOTHING happened as well, ...but to see it decrease is dumbfounding.

Since I was unable to include visual screenshots, here's some context to paint the picture:

I was completing my NJ State Tax Return and was set to receive approximately $3k and when I select Military Veteran, it goes down to approximately $2.6k...

Why?

TurboTax Business for Windows 11 has declined my refund. Awful product. It changed amounts and percentages on its own with no logic involved. It repeatedly changed entries that I made and made assumptions - NO accounting software should make assumptions. Support had me reload everything and I spent hours on the phone with them. Had to get a CPA, anyway, completely undermining the reason I had to buy the product. They should be ashamed but apparently are not. My loss - your possible gain if you walk past this one.

I been waiting since 1/30, Verified 3/9, No Notifications on website or by Mail if anything and yet still no Movement on my Transcripts

Hi - I’ve been using TT online for years with no issues. Last week I logged in and did my taxes and was in the final review phase when the program got stuck on spinning. I shut down my computer and haven’t been able to get in long enough to do anything. The website keeps kicking me back to the sign in page. I’ve been trying everyday the last few days. I’ve tried other computers, other browsers and the same thing happens every time. Anyone else experience this? Anyone know what to do? Please help. Thank you in advance.

I withdrew most of the money in my Roth to pay off some credit cards (realistically, I am never going to be able to afford to retire). I was under the impression that since these were post tax contributions, I would not owe taxes as long as I didn't withdraw any earnings made from stock sales. I only withdrew what I'd contributed. Now it's saying I owe $4k. Was I very, very wrong? I wouldn't have withdrawn otherwise.

I mailed my federal tax return without tracking to Kansas City. Post office weighed and assured it will be delivered on Feb 11. I still have no update from IRS on refund tracker and transcripts are not available. I got state refund last month from my paper filing. Anyone else in the same boat??

Currently doing taxes and my 2nd time using Turbotax.

I've transferred the info inputted from last year and the question I know have is that it asks me to input my net income for 2025 tax return.

That'd be line 23400 and 23600.

However, isn't that info from the notice of assessment? which I don't have for 2025 because I haven't done my taxes yet or is this referring to the 2024 tax return which was done last year?

If not, where else can I find this info on my T4s for net income amount for this year's tax return?

Hey guys, I have a super old computer that I cant get Win11 on and this year it wants me to use Turbotax Online to file. I bought the Deluxe from Costco which it came with 5 federal filings. Last year I filed my own return + my parents on the Desktop app but this year it's not letting me install the Desktop version because I don't have Win11.

So my question is what is the process for me to also file my parents return? Can I tie this license code to their account also? because as far as I can see my account I can only file 1 return and I can't start another return? so I'm a bit confused on what to do.

I have hit this error when connecting with Capital one. I have tried multiple ways (incognito mode etc.)

Their support is NOT helpful at all. The support just repeat these options online (refresh, incognito....), then silence.....

I just want to check is this a permanent issue as I saw someone else posted similar issue. If so this company is hopeless, never fix any bug like this

Has anyone here been a Tax Expert with Intuit before? If so, was there a performance bonus at the end of the season? Right now I'm working as a tax expert with Intuit. The pay is really good, but I saw another Reddit post from a few months ago talking about a performance bonus of $2000. I was wondering if I'd potentially be able to achieve the same thing, I was also wondering how good my performance metrics would need to be.

so last night I got a critical notice alert text, claiming someone was filing a return with my info through another TurboTax account. I thought it was phishing, but then received an email and in app notification as well.

i filed well over a month ago and have received refunds etc etc.

I immediately call ( thankfully they are open 7 days, including Easter, during peak season) and got a rep who I explained what I had received.

There were no suspicious log in attempts or devices on my account. I use 2FA and passkey.

The rep was very thorough and he said he didn’t see anything where anyone was attempting to file a return using my PI. what he did say, is it appears someone may have mistyped their social and matched mine. though no other info was corrrect, so in these instances, he said it’s just a mistake, and their return will be rejected etc.

I use an IP Pin, filed months ago, etc.

He said he considers the issue resolved. is there anything else I need to do? I know the irs won’t accept a duplicate return, even if someone was trying to file as me, but it does appear it may be an error.
