Is there a line that resonates with you right now?

“I used to wake up to the color of your soul.”

I have two boys, 7 and 4. I think back to those nearly three years with our firstborn. I lived and breathed the boy. Every moment of every day I thought about him. He’s got a brother, who I love just as much, and he’s getting older, which is fine.

But I think back to those early years and our time together and this line just gets me every time I even think about it.

Do you have a line that resonates with you like that?

Are these rookie numbers?

Are these rookie numbers or do I spend too much time listening to Shinedown?

Edit: I have had Spotify since January 2018.

Oof, I’m slacking here

I’m actually kinda shocked that I only have 96 hours of listening to my favorite artist over the past 10.5 years.

Edit: changed days to hours … used the wrong word

What songs do you think they'll play?

I'm going to my first Shinedown concert and wanna know what songs I could expect to be played. I like almost all their stuff but a symptom of being human is my favorite (ik, I'm so basic). How likely of a chance is there that they'll play it?

Does anyone have the demo of I Own You 2011?

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I hope you're having a nice afternoon. I'd like some help finding the demo of "I Own You." I've tried searching for it on YouTube and other sites, but it's not showing up. :(

Hi everyone, I recently discovered Shinedown (They are not very well known here in Brazil) and I'm unsure which album to start with. I've seen opinions about their older albums and those from recent years, and some people even said that Shinedown's music from 2015 to now sounds similar to AI, so I need help figuring this out. I'd appreciate any suggestions!

obs: sorry for my terrible english xD

The Sound of Madness

I’ve gone back and forth on this song. I struggle with mental health, so sometimes this song strikes a raw nerve. And it’s always felt like a weird juxtaposition against the uplifting nature of other songs. There’s a lot of sources and forum discussions that point to this song being about a toxic victim mentality and for people to recognize their own role in their circumstances and to stand up and fight back against themselves.

So then I wondered if it’s possible that the song isn’t that broad, but rather meant to be read as a very specific reflection from Brent on his past addiction. Like it’s him singing specifically to his addict self. For me it makes some things make more sense, like the anger/sarcasm in the song. But with this framework, the “bipolar” and “social disease” lines still don’t work or really make sense to me. But the “take your medicine” line makes more sense to me. It’s wouldn’t be him telling someone flippantly to take their mental health meds in this framework, it would be Brent angrily telling his past addicted self to recognize the brutal and bitter truth that they are their own worst enemy in this self destruction through alcoholism. And then “take your medicine” could also be in reference to the following lines, where he discusses the need for his addict self to recognize that he wasn’t a danger while he slept, because he himself was the danger. The gun he slept with for protection (be it literal from paranoia or a metaphor) was useless. The enemy to fight back against was already inside the house.

If you made it this far in the post, thank you for listening to me ramble out loud. I really like so much of Shinedown’s music, and this song always has just felt like a bad outlier. And I swear to god I did a ton of Google searches to see if someone had already asked this, or if it had already been like “confirmed”, but I couldn’t find anything. I’m going to be mortified if I missed something obvious.

But also feel free to tell me I’m an idiot and to move along. 🙃

Stay safe out there y’all. ✌️

Should I do it

I’ve loved shine down since I can remember and there reason i picked up the guitar again after long years of not playing, and one song I know buy note for note “sound of madness” is giving me an idea that I’ve had for years but never had the balls to do for years well maybe until now there playing in Madison Wisconsin on Saturday and I’ve always wanted to hold up sign that says (not exact but something humbling) Zach! Your the reason I play again let me show you my sound of madness or something like that should I do it or am I embarrassing my self or would I bee too attention seeking maybe I’m over thinking it thoughts? opinions? If yall tell me it’s a bad idea I won’t do it and won’t be hurt by it I’d rather not embarrass my self the would !

Hi, I’m going to my first shinedown concert on 5/13. Shinedown has meant a lot to me throughout my life, I was wondering the likeliness that the songs 45, second chances (confident with this one), and I’ll follow you will be played.

Ps. I’m incredibly excited for all of the songs, these just hold a special significance with me!

Song discussion, #2 - Fly from the Inside

Personally, I'm still a little bit newer to the Leave a Whisper album. I just heard Fly From the Inside for the first time at the end of the year 2024, I wasn't a huge fan at first listen, but over the following months it's found its way into my heart. Overall, not my favorite song on this album, but definitely a good pick for new listeners. The chorus really stands out from the rest of the song, for me. I love how the chorus comes in with a powerful vocal/instrumental boost. Overall, it's better than a lot of the others on the album, but not the best.

Thoughts? *sorry for any disagreements*

Shinedown’s poster and live nation both show that from ashes to new is a supporting act for their Lubbock Tx show 7/30. However ticket master does not reflect that. Is there someone to contact? Or which is accurate? Or am I understanding the poster wrong ?😅

Saw someone else doing this, and I wanted to get separate opinions from other fans. I'll probably do different song discussions every two to three days, since I'm not always available.

Anyway, first day - thoughts and opinions on the song "Leave A Whisper" not the album, but the actual song.

I personally didn't care for it too much. It kinda reminds me of the song "Left Out" and the vocals are quite different from the rest of the album. I like the Instrumentals and the riffs, and the meaning also reminds me of Left Out, but the vocals were kind of a flop for me. But aside from the vocals and the lyrics, it's an okay song in particular. Not a favorite, but not their worst. (Sorry for any disagreement) full thoughts on this song?

Back in November of 2013, Shinedown released
“The Studio Album Collection” which featured their
first four studio albums, “Leave A Whisper”, “Us And Them”, “The Sound of Madness” and “Amaryllis. Now, 13 years after its release, in 2026, we have had over 4 more complete studio albums in the past 11 years, “Threat To Survival”, “ATTENTION ATTENTION”, “Planet Zero” and “EI8HT”, could there be a second studio album collection with the music we have had from 2015 - 2026? Or could we get a whole studio album collection with all of Shinedown’s mainline studio albums from 2003 - 2026?
