i stupidly fell for a telegram scam after texting someone who i thought was a girl. they have photos of my dick but no face. they sent screenshots of my whatsapp profile pic so i panicked and paid them £100. they then carried on threatening to send out the photos to my friends and family. however to prove that they knew who i was, they sent a facebook profile of someone with the same name as me but it wasn’t me haha. does this mean they weren’t able to find me anywhere? they were sending screenshots of texts they wanted to send to people i don’t even know (assuming it was this other persons friend list). i have them blocked on telegram, deleted my actual facebook and made everything else private. this happened 8 hours ago and they haven’t contacted me, am i safe?

I’m so stupid, I fell for one, they have my Instagram and they’re threatening to send the pic to my followers. I even made the mistake of paying them 100 bucks and they want more. Cant believe I didn’t check and see their acct was based in Nigeria. I’m so ashamed and I don’t know what to do. I’ve told them I don’t have any more money and gotten them to wait for now, but idk what to do. Reading this subreddit I realize they probably aren’t gonna send them and the image doesn’t have my face in it so I can probably claim it’s fake but honestly I’m just stressed and not sure what to do.

My ex has repeatedly threatened to send my dad videos of me fucking two black guys. He says he has "Care packages" for my dad and current bf. Thank God he hasn't but he has 1400ish pics and videos of us getting high and fucking other guys

This has happened to me before, I know I never learn. But this time they got my phone number usually they just give up but I’ve received one additional text and one possible scam call. This happened about 30 minutes ago but I’m so scared right now. I didn’t give any socials but they have my number is there any way they’ll directly message anyone I know.

EDIT: they just texted me 7 minutes ago on WhatsApp they have my Instagram I feel like I’m going to throw up

I didn’t pay, I blocked them, deleted the account they contacted me on.

They had my pics and my number, and no socials.

I have put all my socials on deactivate/high security. No one can tag or message me without me knowing.

So far no contact, no follow up, no leaks.

For those of you who have just ended up in the same situation, minimize yourself from the internet. Go touch grass. It’ll pass. I’m still worried sometimes during the day, but what’s the worst that can happen? Just learn and move on.

My autistic aunt sent nudes to some random guy who texted her on facebook. My mother is already going through a lot and now he is back to blackmailing my aunt for money with those photos and videos by sending it to relatives and anyone we know, so it is not just empty threats. He had access to her phone for a while before we knew about it using an app so he has her contacts and only sends them to the people in it. He hasn't sent them to me yet or I would have made it public by using local news channels. We know he is also from the same province, according to the cops, they arrested him once after we complained through someone higher up, but now he is back as if nothing happened. The authorities don't give a shit and they won't help at all. My uncle sent him some money wich is stupid of course, and it only made him send it to more people of course. How could I figure out his identity? It might be unethical or unlawful, but I don't care at this point. PS: I am from Iraq so a lot of ways that one might use are not available here.

He continues to message me but I blocked him on everything but Reddit continues to send the messages do I delete my account ? Or what should I do they have my phone number number and can find people through if I guess it was all related because I was looking to buy some feet content I don’t want anyone I know to know about it I’m scared. Long story short. Met this “girl” online. Said she was 20. We started sexting thru telegram. The person then took my pictures and is now threatening to make a post with my name, number, nudes, and calling me a pedophile? Even though I strictly said no underage shit.

Anyway.

I’m panicking lol.

What are the odds they do anything with my information if I don’t engage?

I blocked them on telegram. They then texted me with one of those generic “background checks” saying they’re gonna send it to everyone in my family, friends, etc.

once they texted me I just blocked their number and didn’t respond anymore.

I didn’t show any fear but I didn’t egg them on either.

I should be okay right? My thought is they have no leverage if I don’t show fear and don’t reply? I’m just scared they’ll do it anyway out of spite??

Hi. A few hours ago, the thing happened. Sent a pic that I shouldn't have, and got extorted. (Edit: the scammer) Had no socials (media accounts) , just (my) first, last name and phone number (and my hometown, and family member names). I quickly found this subreddit and read the newcomers post. I blocked them, did some social media tidying, purging and got off the app we talked on, Telegram. But in deleting the account on Telegram, I realize I didn't remember to get screenshots of the threats to humiliate me and extort me.

My question is ; what now? Common advice says going to local law enforcement however without any screenshots of threats what exactly is that interaction going to be? (Edit: should I still go to Local Law Enforcement?)

Just received a message threatening to send images of my nude body to my friends and family members, he has their names. Not sure where to go from here, very afraid and feel incredibly vulnerable. Any advice? I will not be sending them money regardless of what happens.

Went on a subreddit to masturbate with someone, they told me to add them on telegram and download the app, so I did, then “she” said “she” liked being in control so I said ok then “she” said to add her as a contact on telegram. I did but my name on telegram was a fake name. Then we exchange some nudes and then “she” said “she” wanted a mirror nude picture of my holding my dick, so I did and then “she” send a picture of my insta profile picture along with the mirror pic and another one of my dick pics and said that if I didn’t send “her” 700 she would send to my frriends and family, I tried to send her the money but for some reason my card kept declining(THANK GOD) and i was freaking out so I called my buddy and told him what I did and he said the same thing happened to him a few years ago and then eventually he told me to block “her” and that the real person will never actually do anything about it. I met this girl on flingster, and stuff progressed. She suggested we go to telegram later. However, I for one don't have it, but I honestly think this might be a sextortion scheme. I'm probably going to not get telegram, but is this a common way for sextortion to happen? I never had my face visible, and I also never gave out any information. I'm very new to this, so I'd rather be safe than sorry, and at the same time. I'd also rather be educated on this to not fall victim to these types of scams.

Met this girl on thundr, after adding me on discord she immediately sextorted me saying I was messaging minors, after that I immediately blocked her, did I do the right thing?

im 19m I know its super stupid but I started talking to a girl and we moved to tele I sent nudes and stuff I didn't even think abt my face being on my tele account like an idiot. we ended up talking awhile but followed her on insta and like immediately was sending screenshots of my stuff and the chats to me and screenshots of my following list. So the insta account is really old not even tue main but there are a couple people on there that I don't even talk to now and ones ion want to see that. I didn't even read the threat messages or the dramatic countdown just saw the screenshots and went to delete my account. deleted the insta went back to tele saw a message they were sending it out and I blocked em (didn't respond to it) and deleted tele my account there gon disappear in a month or sum ( was panicked just just deleted the app after everything) I lowkey looked on my moms phone thought she was on that account but nothing on her insta. This happened last night but still nothing this morning almost noon this happened around like 3 am. So I need advice or just reassurance I'll be aight I guess thank you to whoever reads.

Met on a dating app, moved it to snap. Sent nudes, videos a few seconds long of me.. you can use your imagination. I deleted the chat as soon as i figured out they weren't legit and a few mins later they threatened me showing the video that i had deleted saying they will show it to my friends and family etc if i don't pay. I saw the message and immediately ignored it and it looks like they unfollowed me.

Thankfully it was only snap, a place where i don't have any family members. I've deleted all pics of me online that i know of and i have a private insta and facebook etc already. The only information they have on me is what my face looks like, my full name and the city i'm in. It's been 3 and a half hours and nothings happened. I think i might be okay but i'm still so paranoid and i can't concentrate on anything else at the moment. This is so shit :(
