Was potential victim but didn't screenshot
Hi. A few hours ago, the thing happened. Sent a pic that I shouldn't have, and got extorted. (Edit: the scammer) Had no socials (media accounts) , just (my) first, last name and phone number (and my hometown, and family member names). I quickly found this subreddit and read the newcomers post. I blocked them, did some social media tidying, purging and got off the app we talked on, Telegram. But in deleting the account on Telegram, I realize I didn't remember to get screenshots of the threats to humiliate me and extort me.
My question is ; what now? Common advice says going to local law enforcement however without any screenshots of threats what exactly is that interaction going to be? (Edit: should I still go to Local Law Enforcement?)
Thanks to the community and (in advance) for any help. Also shout outs to that user posting the same advice everyday. You're all legends and despite the worry and elevated heart rate, I learned a lot today.
