What to do if you miss a dose of Wegovy, Zepbound, or Foundayo

Missing a dose happens. Here’s what to know so you don’t stress or accidentally make it worse.

First: nothing “bad” happens from one missed dose
You’re not resetting your progress. GLP-1s stay in your system for a while, so one missed dose won’t undo your results.

What you might notice

  • Slight increase in appetite
  • Cravings coming back a bit stronger
  • Feeling less full than usual

This is normal and usually temporary.

What to do next depends on your medication:

For the Wegovy pill:

  • Skip the missed dose
  • Take your next dose the following morning as scheduled
  • Don’t double up or take an extra tablet later in the day

Because it needs to be taken on an empty stomach, you can’t take it once you’ve already eaten or had anything besides water. If you miss that window, just wait until the next day.

For Foundayo:

  • Take the missed dose as soon as you remember
  • If it’s close to your next dose, skip it
  • Don’t take two doses in the same day

For weekly injections (like Wegovy or Zepbound):

  • If you remember within a couple of days, take the missed dose
  • If it’s close to your next scheduled dose, skip it and stay on schedule
  • Don’t double up

If you miss multiple doses
You may notice side effects again when restarting (similar to when you first began). In some cases, your provider may recommend restarting at a lower dose. It’s worth checking in with them if you miss a dose.

Bottom line:
One missed dose isn’t a big deal. Just get back on track with your next dose and keep going.

4th week-awful side effects

I need advice/words of encouragement because I’m about to quit. I’m on Zepbound and I took my 4th shot on Sunday night and I’m feeling so sick I have lost 5 lbs and I’m staying on the same dose 2.5 for the next four weeks. any suggestions on how to deal not only with nausea but with the feeling that my food it’s just sitting in my stomach. Here’s my history

week#1: super nauseous, body aches like I was coming down with something. threw up in the am first 2 days, but by Monday night started to feel much better.

week#2: very nauseous on day 1 and 2. requested nausea med and it helped

week #3. Took nausea medication. Symptoms were super mild.

week#4: it feels like I didn’t digest any of my food. I had a yogurt and almonds for breakfast, 1/3 of my salad for lunch and a 1/4 of split pea soup. Around 4, I ate 1/3 of my salad. I did not anything again because I felt as sick as the first week.
I woke up at 1 am throwing up non stop mostly liquid. I feel better after I threw up.

Struggling with.. no weight loss

I've been titrating up since January 2026 - no side effects, other than yes, less hunger, and am at the 40 units of semaglutide 1mg 3 weeks in. My weight (5'7, SW 171lbs -> CW 169lbs -> GW 145lbs) hasn't changed. I know that when I weighed myself today, I am about to get my period and had eaten breakfast. But.. is this normal?

Considerations:

- I increased my Lexapro from 10 to 20mg about 5 weeks ago

- I strive to eat no more than 1400 calories per day, and recently bought a food scale. At first I was eating too many snacks (like almonds and pistachios, or dates) and have figured out the balance.

- I go to hot mat pilates or pilates sculpt 3x a week and bicycle around where I live. I'm not extremely active but I'm not sedentary.

What do y'all think? I don't understand.

Processing Time

Hi! I was approved for medication on April 17th and the prescription was sent to their pharmacy (using cash pay). My order has been processing since then, so it's been about 5 days. When should I expect it to ship, realistically? And how long does shipping take?

Had tracking #, now order is “held”

I’m trying to understand what’s going on with my order.

Earlier today, I had a UPS tracking number showing that my cash-pay Zepbound KwikPen was supposed to arrive tomorrow, 4/21. Now UPS says the shipment information was voided and the package was canceled.

Ro’s app now shows a 4/20 status update saying it is “processing,” but then my account details page says the order is “held.” I have no idea what is going on, and I’m really frustrated.

I switched from another provider’s compounded version to the name brand through Ro, and so far it has been nothing but delays and headaches. When I have a shipment of vials in December, everything was smooth as butter, and I had my shipment within a few days of taking my health the assessment online.

Order Processing

My order has been processing for 5 days, how long does it usually take for it to go from processing to shipping?

Semaglutide

So I’ve been taking the semaglutide shot for 5 weeks now (this Friday will be my 6th shot). I’ve been getting the expected side effects, some stomach pain and nausea, but then there’s something else.

Apparently I’m the ONLY one in my apartment who is getting affected. My fridge smells like chemicals. Then it’s making the food taste like chemicals. I feel like I’m going insane lol. My fiance says he doesn’t realize a co angel in anything. This smell/taste started happening a few weeks (like week 2) of me starting this shot.

I’ve looked it up and it does appear that the shot can change smell and taste but it’s weird it’s ONLY with my fridge. I’ve taken every single thing out and cleaned it and nothing! It’s still there. My maintenance people at my apartment said nothings wrong.

Has this happened to anyone else?! Lol I’m losing it

mistakenly requested wrong dose - no way to reach support

i mistakenly requested to maintain my 7.5 dose instead of move up to 10. i can see no way to actually speak with someone in customer support, nor send a message to the doctor who will review my refill request. i still have doses left of current so i should have enough time to change it, but literally can see no way to make it happen.

anyone been in this spot before? or is CS here and can DM me?

CS disregarded my switch request, provided no feedback on why and started a refill process... would appreciate some assistance.

Woke up a little frustrated after finally getting a response from a provider. I wasn't satisfied with the Wegovy pill and instead of making the big leap to 25mg from 9mg I requested a switch to the pen. Made it pretty clear I did not want to go down in dosage and asked for the 1mg.

The practitioner switched me to the 0.5mg pen, provided no reasoning and started processing the order.

Needless to say I'm a little miffed. If there's a reason a lower dose is recommended I wish they would have given it so I can feel comfortable with the switch. If anyone on the reddit team can assist me with either resolving this and switching to the 1mg before it ships or in lueue of that, explaining the decision to me I would be very thankful.

Seems too soon to prescribe a refill.

Why am I being processed for a refill and dosage increase already? I haven’t even taken my second dose of 2.5mg zepbound yet. Is that expected? I filled out the survey because I was prompted to and I said I have only taken one dose so far on April 11th. My second dose is scheduled for tonight though. I know these meds are generally pretty safe but I still get creepy “pill mill” vibes from this place.

I received my first box of vials over a month ago and explicitly told them I was going to wait until after I visit with my PCP before taking my first dose because my spouse was kinda freaked out by the fact that I was able to get this medication without actually talking to anyone. I thought “telehealth” meant there’d be a phone call or video call with a provider but it turns out it’s just an online survey that costs $145 😂 I eventually saw my primary care provider in-person for an annual check up April 9th and took my first dose a couple of days later because they cleared me to start it.

Chose not to increase after week 1 side effects - now second guessing it

I started on 2.5 mg and just took my second shot. After my first shot, I got an email from Ro suggesting I request refills, so I completed the questionnaire. Based on my responses, Ro recommended increasing my dose.

At the time, I chose to stay at 2.5 mg because during week one I had some food aversion and mild nausea, and I was worried a higher dose would bring worse side effects.

Now that I’ve taken my second shot, I feel totally fine - no side effects at all - but my appetite is definitely starting to creep back.

Now I’m wondering if I made the wrong call by staying at 2.5 mg instead of increasing. Has anyone else dealt with this? Did you stay on 2.5 longer or move up?

Higher Dose Wegovy 7.2 MG Availability

Hello,

Does anyone know if and when Ro will have access to Wegovy’s higher dose of 7.2 mg? I’ve been on 2.4mg for 2 months and my shipment is set to be shipped next week and I don’t want to be on it for another month. My care team said they’re not sure when it will be available. Usually Ro is quick with new medications..

The Ro.co website and app don’t appear to be functioning this morning. Checking in here to see if anyone else is having the same issue.

Multi-month membership

Looks like there is now an option for new customers to get a significant discount by signing up for multiple months. I’m quite annoyed that it isn’t available for existing customers “yet” since I’ve been paying the full price for 15+ months.

I had previously reached out to see about discounts since I feel $145 a month is a lot for some messaging back and forth and processing the associated paperwork.

My wife had signed up with a competitor and is paying $74 a month which seemed more reasonable but I didn’t want to go through the process again.

Waiting on my medication

This is my 3rd month on Wegovy and so far I've LOVED the experience, the membership and the effects.

However, my refill for this month - which is supposed to be injected TODAY - is on at 7th day of "being processed" so I reached out to customer service to check in. I was told the pharmacy had placed my prescription on hold as they had questions regarding the dosage, and that my healthcare provider would be reaching out to the pharmacy to get it sorted.

No timeframe was given to me in which they'd "sort out" this issue and no one from their team had reached out to let me know about the pharmacy hold proactively. They only advised me of this after I had reached out due to the lengthy processing time.

I replied, asking for a timeframe as I'm not crazy about the idea of missing a weekly dose and now their app and website are not opening up for me / not functioning.

Anyone have any tips for help in getting my pen quickly this month? Have y'all missed weeks before? Finally, is the app functional for y'all? TY!

Request for blood sample

Hi all, does anyone know why Ro is requesting blood samples from some customers but not others? Is it different for the pill vs auto injections?

Thanks!!!

Wegovy pill users — how’s it going so far?

The Wegovy pill has been out for a few months now, so I’m curious, how’s it actually going for people on it?

What kind of results have you noticed so far? Are things feeling more gradual, or are you starting to see more meaningful changes?

I know oral options can sometimes take a bit longer to really kick in, so would love to hear where people are at in their journey, whether that’s weight loss, appetite/cravings, side effects, or anything else.

Would love a reality check from people on it.

Delivery or pharmacy pick up?

Looking for preferences on delivery of meds or pharmacy pick up. I am leaning towards pharmacy. Pros and cons?

Edit: I will be paying out of pocket. Will the major difference just be cost?
