Printing on holographic paper

So, I have some great new label designs for my products and I would really love to be able to make it so the linework is holo but everything else is opaque solid color.

I thought of 2 solutions:

  1. Use vinyl cutouts and transfer everything onto holographic paper. There are some small details that make this difficult, so if I had to do it this way I’d have to rework the design.

  2. Find a way to print/transfer the details on. I was looking into sublimation printing and wondered: is there a way to use the sublimation transfer paper to transfer the white background? Really my only issue is that my printer can’t print white and therefore if I want something to show up opaque I’ll have to use bold colors and that doesn’t fit with the design. I’d honestly rather transfer plain white onto the holo paper if I can. I have a heat press and I am willing to buy a sublimation printer if necessary (though they don’t usually have white ink either).

Any advice? Thanks in advance!

Help Printing a Sewing Pattern

I'm trying to print a sewing pattern, but I cannot print all of the pages. Whenever I print the first way, I can get the entire page, but it is not the correct scale. Whenever I use the correct scale, it only prints one page. I understand that it has to be multiple pages, but I do not get how to do it. I have to use a school Chromebook, if that may be the reason.

Printer does this, help!

I'm not sure what this issue is called, but I'm experiencing a problem with my printer.

I have an Epson EcoTank ET-1810, and it worked without any issues for about a year. About a month ago, I tried printing a card, and the printer started printing outside the card area. Since then, the problem has started.

I've tried running a Print Head Nozzle Check, Power Cleaning and Paper Guide Cleaning, but the issue remains. I've also replaced the waste ink pad. I haven't cleaned the inside of the printer because...well I don't know how, and I'm concerned about damaging something. I also don't know if its possible toclean the underside of the print head and how to even do that.

EDIT: Its mostly when printing A5 i have this problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

Circle fine art print?

I'm looking to have a portrait printed and would really like a circular dimension with a deckled edge but can't seem to find anywhere online that offers that. Any recommendations?

POD Company Letters/Text Documents on Lightweight Linen Paper?

I know this is such a specific question but I have a writing project/club that I will need for pretty regular printing. A home printer with my own paper is probably a no go unless I can't find an affordable service. I've reached out to a few local print shops for quotes and they've either been confused and declined or quoted like $10 a page

Essentially, I want 2-sided letters in 5x7 size. Both sides will contain text, so no color options needed. I want a textured paper, something that feels like an old letter in your hand and looks lovely in an envelope. I very much lean towards linen but I might be a silly goose and there's a better option

Would anyone here have leads/ideas? I've worked with CatPrint for art prints and love them, but not sure if they'd be the best choice here. Most printers I find that seem like they could work are more geared towards wedding invitations

Printing and matching LAB, CMYK, RGB colors in a studio.

I work in a studio environment, setting up art for sublimation on fabric mostly. We work with licensed artwork so color matching is important.

Problem : design directors make color decisions based on printouts from an uncalibrated digital printer. I was trying to match a set of custom colors from an account today and ran into this problem.

Each of the swatches are the same color, just different color modes ( LAB, cmyk, RGB ). The LAB color is most accurate printing from a cmyk printer.

My questions : why does the lab color print so much differently with the same toners from the same printer

Is the color mode we choose for each swatch affecting the printed paper at the factories making our fabric?

What would be the best way to approach color management through production? Our design directors use the paper print outs to make important decisions prior to production.

Thanks for your ideas.

“Beginner question: paint mist/splatter when rolling walls

Hi all, I’m pretty new to painting and had a quick question.

Every time I roll a wall, I notice a fine mist / tiny paint splatters ending up along the base of the wall (near the floor).

I’ve been using drop cloths, but I still find small specks after I’m done.

Is this mostly a technique issue (like too much paint on the roller or rolling too fast), or is it more about coverage (not enough drop cloth / too close to the wall)?

Any tips to prevent this would be really appreciated!

How is everyone handling proof checking when receiving print proofs? Still fully manual?

When receiving & reviewing print proofs (packaging, product artwork, etc.), I find the process quite time-consuming — comparing to originals, spotting colour shifts, missing elements, alignment issues, etc. It’s all pretty manual (side-by-side checks, markups, notes to suppliers).

Curious how others handle this — any tools, or just process and experience?

11-Color Flexographic Press + WT LED UV Hybrid Curing System

The video was quite long, so I have trimmed a portion of it; I ask for your patience while watching. Each printing unit is equipped with an LED UV curing system, while several units feature a hybrid configuration combining both standard UV and LED UV systems.

Suggestions for foam board mounting

Does anyone have a suggestion for an adhesive backed 24x36" foam board that doesn't bow? We buy Gilman brothers brand, and it has a tendency to bow before, and especially after mounting my plotter printed art. Any help would be appreciated.

600 PPI for A1 Art Print.

I'm trying to print my detailed art work out for an A1 signage board.

If I set my document in photoshop to A1 size with 600ppi as well as scanning the art in 600dpi.

Will that be enough resolution to not be blurry or low quality when it's scaled up to that A1 size?

Thanks. I've tried working in 1200 PPI but it slows down the photoshop.

What's the best file size/PPI for A1?

**Epson L3210: Cyan "Capsule" Nozzle Gap** Gap hasn't moved in a month. Tech replaced Capping Station & primed dampers. Line is getting darker/thicker but gap remains. Tech says print daily for 2 months & avoid Power Cleaning, or replace head. Should I flush now or wait? Will daily use fix this?

What is the best barcode generator for thermal shipping labels?

my printing setup for a small fulfillment side gig has been busy with spring orders and mother's day rush so thermal shipping labels are constant. i need qr returns, product barcodes and shipping info merged from excel data but finding the best barcode generator for thermal shipping labels that actually works with thermal printer and batch runs is frustrating. the free ones i tried add watermarks or break on larger jobs. i've looked at some paid programs around a couple hundred bucks but i want real feedback first. anyone in printing actually found the best barcode generator for thermal shipping labels that handles qr returns and excel data smoothly?

i'm tired of wasting labels every time i try to print barcodes for my products

my small retail side business is picking up with spring events and mother's day coming up so i finally bought a thermal printer thinking it would make labeling easy. pulling descriptions, prices, barcodes and qr codes from excel is still a nightmare though. the free generators look terrible when printed and the basic software keeps forcing watermarks or bad alignment. i've looked at a few paid barcode programs that cost a few hundred bucks but i'm nervous to commit if it's just another disappointment. anyone running a small business actually found a barcode generator that makes this part of operations less painful?

Anyone else hit a wall where standard print setups start feeling too limiting?

Lately I’ve been realizing the hard part of apparel printing isn’t always the print itself, it’s getting the finished product to feel less “generic.”

In the beginning I only cared about decent prints and reliable fulfillment. But over time a few pain points started showing up:

Print consistency can vary more than expected between runs. Some blanks look great for certain prints but not others. And once you want products to feel more like a real brand, details like labels, placement options, specialty decoration, garment customization, etc. suddenly matter a lot more.

That’s where I’ve felt stuck.

Staying with basic print setups keeps things simple, but it can feel hard to differentiate. Moving toward more customized production seems appealing, but also adds cost and complexity fast.

I’m curious how people in printing have approached that transition.

Did you reach a point where standard POD/screen print setups weren’t enough anymore? How did you level up product quality/branding without making production a nightmare?

Would genuinely love to hear how others handled this.

Question regarding storing laminated stickers made using an inkjet printer

If you print stickers (inkjet) and then laminate them, will they still fade over time if you just store them in a envelope?

I’ve been making everything to order because I wasn’t sure, but it’s kind of a pain and I’d rather batch a bunch at once then just grab them when orders come in.

Main concern is just long-term fading sitting in storage before they get shipped.

I'm using an ET-8550 if it matters

How I automated bulk barcode label sheets for small e-commerce sellers (and why I made it 100% free)

Hi everyone,

As a developer, I’ve been talking to several small e-commerce owners and retail startups lately. One consistent "pain point" I kept hearing was the nightmare of printing barcode labels in bulk.

The Problem: Most "free" generators online are a trap. They let you create one barcode for free, but the moment you need to generate a bulk list or export a print ready sheet, they hit you with a paywall or a subscription. People are tired of getting held hostage just to download a simple PDF of labels they already designed.

The Solution: I built generatorbarcode.com to handle the entire "Label Layout" process directly in the browser. You just paste your list (SKUs, EANs, etc.), and it formats the entire sheet for you.

Why I made it differently:

  • No Cloud/Privacy: Unlike other apps, the data stays in your browser.
  • No Paywalls: I noticed many apps charge $10-20/month just to export a PDF. I decided to keep this completely free with no watermarks.
  • Bulk Labels: It’s not just a generator; it’s a layout tool for printing.

I’m looking to improve the tool and would love some honest feedback from this community:

  1. What label sizes (Avery, etc.) do you use most often?
  2. What is the most annoying part of your current labeling workflow?
  3. Are there specific barcode types that you struggle to find free tools for?

If you have a second to check out generatorbarcode.com and tell me what’s missing, I’d really appreciate it. I want to make this the go to tool for anyone who hates paying for simple barcode sheets.

Question....Printable hydrogel film

Hey, I'm looking to see how these work. So I'm looking for clear hydrogel film to print on. I've seen products on AliX that use it and they are color printed. How does that work?
