How is everyone handling proof checking when receiving print proofs? Still fully manual?

When receiving & reviewing print proofs (packaging, product artwork, etc.), I find the process quite time-consuming — comparing to originals, spotting colour shifts, missing elements, alignment issues, etc. It’s all pretty manual (side-by-side checks, markups, notes to suppliers).

Curious how others handle this — any tools, or just process and experience?

Proof checking for print… is there a better way?

When working on print files for product and packaging, I feel like proof checking takes forever.
Tiny changes, colour shifts, missing elements… it’s all manual and time-consuming to check and mark up.
Surely there’s a better way people are handling this?
