An MKBHD Endorsement!! Marques Brownlee has officially recommended MotionCam Pro to fight overprocessed smartphone cameras in his latest video!!!

This is a huge moment for the app and the community! The app has not only improved, but grown to such a point that even a massive figure like Marques not only acknowledged its existence, but outright suggested it as an option!! All in due time before the V5 launch!!!

All out DCG RAW video quality? Samsung S26 Ultra, Oppo Find X9 Ultra, or Xiaomi 17 Ultra.

As the title suggests, I'm looking for a cinematography tool that will net me the best DCG RAW performance at the moment. I've been shooting with an old Pixel 8 Pro with the Blackmagic Camera App --- it's a great little setup but I've been itching for an upgrade and access to RAW, preferably DCG RAW. I want to spend my money wisely.

Between the three aforementioned flagships it would seem the Xiaomi 17 Ultra has the biggest main sensor and Motioncam Pro can access DCG RAW on the device. As far as I can tell, both the S26 Ultra and Oppo X9 Ultra aren't able to do DCG RAW within Motioncam Pro just yet.

I'd be inclined to go with the Xiaomi and call it a day, but the cage/rigging ecosystem doesn't seem to be very well developed. Case in point, I'm very interested in Tilta's Khronos ecosystem, which has options for both the Oppo and the Samsung but nothing for the Xiaomi.

Should I forgo the more mature rigging ecosystem of the Samsung and Oppo in favor of the guaranteed DCG RAW capabilities of the Xiaomi?

How to change photo (!) resolution

I'm just trying out this app for the first time (cause it was recommended in the latest MKBHD video, congrats!) and I would mainly use it to take photos but I can't for the life of me find any setting that changes the resolution. By default it takes 12 MP pictures which is way below the capabilities of my Pixel 8 Pro.

I can see the settings for changing the viewfinder resolution and in video mode it also seems to be easier with tons of tutorials explaining how to do it but I can't find anything about photo mode. Is it just locked to 12 MP?

What's New in V 1.2:

New Features:

  1. Added BLOOM effect for the dreamy film-emulated looks!

  2. Added Film Softness as a slider in the FILM GRAIN tab to better mimic what happens on a real film.

QOL Improvements:

- Moved BLEACH, BLOOM and FILM GRAIN to a separate node.

(The final screenshot has exaggerated levels of bloom and grain for demonstration purposes.)Download Prismatica Pro

Hi everybody, i'm totally new to this. I just followed a YouTube tutorial explaining some of the most reccomended settings to use, but i seem to have a constant "CPU Throttle" warning on the left side of the screen that i don't understand.

As a matter of fact, the videos come out laggy.

Is there a way to solve this?

Hello people! The developer of Prismatica Pro here. I shared a post around 15 days ago regarding the closed testing of this app. I'm very happy to share that the app is alive on the play store now. Please check it out.
